I was 8 when I walked into my (10 years older) sister's high school dance and this track was playing. I listened to electronic music all my childhood and later became a dj and a producer. This track is everything : )
Eclipse Coventry all nighter, the man came on with a little and I mean little keyboard on a Big Stage- And F -g rocked it.Still one of the best produced and created tunes I have, way forward / Good old rave days ❤
Absolutely, mate...I was 16 (born December of '73) & I'll always be thankful that I was born at an incredible time, because IMO the music, sports (esp. tennis, football/soccer, Formula 1, 500cc GP motorbikes, boxing, even cricket) & culture were amazing & we hadn't yet been screwed over by the ramifications that came with political correctness & the social justice warriors who espouse their PC bullshit... As an example of this, I've been watching "Crocodile Dundee" (from 1986) over the past hour or so & there is NO FREAKING WAY that they could have gotten away with so much of that enjoyable & completely harmless film during this century...
People had a go at moby for various things , but he is a amazing artist an ive listened to him talk about inspirations an rave culture was one , so thumbs up in my book, ty moby for nearly 30 years off amazing music ..
Well said...I often disagree with his stances on certain things but that doesn't change the fact that as you said, he's an amazing artist & I'm glad that I can separate the two & buy all of his shit...& in this case, I'm not using "shit" in a disparaging manner, btw!!
souvenirs en Angleterre en 91 je l'ai cherché longtemps celle-ci vu que je n'avais pas le titre pas l’interprète, et je ne l'avais entendu qu'une fois en discothèque !
The story in his memoirs says it all. He released first the original on instinct, and then Outer Rhythm, UK label, wanted to release but asked for remixes to have something fresh. So Moby came up with this remix, 'Woodtick' referring to a Twin Peaks scene.
This was my introduction to dance, on TOTP. My friend's Dad was watching and said THIS IS RUBBISH WHATS HAPPENED TO MUSIC HE'S JUST PRESSING BUTTONS and i sat there quietly captivated 😂
Half of 2021 is over, we still have corona. Hope someone in the future read this after all this crazy time and enjoy the moment listening to this beat with some friends, cold beer and no masks 😁
This reminds me my friend who is crazy crazy crazy about dance music. He has a real bad addiction problem and recently ghosted me cos he thinks I have a narcissistic personality. He watches a lot of RUclips videos about that kind of thing. I'm not even sure he likes Moby.
YES!! The timing of when Michael Winterbottom played it was absolutely perfect, with the darkness & solemnity of the drug scene & psycho drug dealers that had invaded the Haçienda by that stage...gives me chills EVERY single time that I watch it...& when they play the Happy Mondays' "Hallelujah" near the end is also amazing...
