I was 26 when this came out. I think this is my favourite ever trance track. This reminds me of being young, free and good times when the world was better. I wish we could go back. To be on a beach with the sun coming up and dancing to this. Life could not be any better.

The music that shaped a generation. I feel like nothing like it will be made again. Although I guess every generation feels the same nostalgia about something different.
They don't play songs like this in clubs anymore. If I win the lotto I will open a club. And will play this old Skool trance all the time instead of that shit they play now
Count me in! There's nothing like the good ol days of Techno, hard House, Trance and Goya of the 1990's. So many fond memories and great clubs! I hope you've kept your vault of 12" songs and will play these best of songs of old!!
Don't worry oldies ;), I speak for all the 20 year olds that I regularly go to techno parties with when I say that this awesome music still lives on in the right clubs to this day. 🙌🏻
@@Flash81_ Ah yeah I was just on a binge watch at the time, listening to house, techno, trance, etc., this was just coincidentally the video I commented under. Indeed this is a bit softer than the techno at raves but you also hear this music at raves often enough. I'm lucky enough to be European ;) so a lot of great German, Dutch and Belgian techno artists that regularly play.
Lost a good friend of mine this year due to rona, this was one of his favorites. Takes me back to when we were in our 20's, and having it large. RIP bruv....
Born on 2000, I just missed the best generation of music, didn't stop me from discovering gems like this and jamming to trance through my early teens to now
You sure did miss out, Times were so much better and we knew how to have a session . My son was born on 2000 and NO I am not old, I had him at 17. Conceived to some of the best tunes. Just thought I'd fill you in 🤣
I was 18 when this came out, anyone who was young enough to rave to trance during the late 90's early 2000's, you are truly blessed. This is an era where everyone enjoyed themselves with the best club music of all time. At 41 I still enjoy a good rave but nothing beats this era!
I remember dancing in 99 in a warehouse in London. Carl Cox i think playing. 5 car loads of us were in that night, sadly a couple gone now. We were a together, lazers bouncing everywhere. Then this track came on. I remember looking around seeing all my friends smiling faces and then lots of hugs. I'll cherish that moment for the rest of my life. We were all part of something soo special.
I'm 53 now & certain songs still unlock some buried emotions after 20 plus years. This is a great example of that. We were young and on our own journeys, like every generation up until people started to use social media to splinter society.
Spot on my man 💯 brings back so many emotions happy and sad of missed opportunities but also good nights out and the people you went out with you no longer see or aren’t with us anymore ❤
I'm nearly 54. I have loved Trance music since the very beginning. I drive a cabriolet and get the roof down whenever possible. Doesn't even have to be a hot day for me. And when I do get the roof down I blast out nothing but Trance music. I turn that volume up from 5 to "you got to be fucking joking me" and I don't give a rats arse who looks. It's the feel good factor that this style of music brings and that huge grin on your face. Long live Trance music.
So good to realize as we get a bit older that what people think about us means nothing, it is what we feel about ourselves that determines how we interact with our fellow human beings
This track will forever remind me of the times in the the late 90's when we used to put on parties on top of a secluded hill near Arundel, West Sussex UK - My mates would hire a van, lob a generator and the decks in the back and word of mouth brought together a collection of wonderful, free, music seeking folk to a clearing in the forest... We would dance , chat and laugh the night away with lights and Trance synths reaching and echoing through the leaves and branches. The Sunday morning sun would come up and we'd pack away as if we were never there... revitalised for the week ahead and ready to do it all again when the next weekend landed :) Great times, great memories, great friends and of course GREAT MUSIC!
I know what you mean...I would be late at night dancing all by myself, listening to music that everyone else thought was pointless. But I knew. The world was my spinning dancefloor. I started dancing in Germany when I was just 12 years old. Listening to Ravesatellite from a small Berlin radio station called DT64. Marusha spun it all night for me alone, it felt like. 1991....
Richard Ikin awesome geezer loud and pround me friend...im 48 years old I first started listening to music like this from a young age and I still listen to it... I blame pete tong from radio one proud to be a trance lover
I'm 46, and hearing Binary Finary's "1999" here on youtube took me back to 2000 when I was 23 and heard it on a Paul Okenfold Mix CD titled Transport. I had no idea who they were, just that he had their song put on his CD, and that I liked it a lot! It still sounds amazing in 2023!
My da had me a set of decks at ten years old and a bunch of these old classic records .. too young to understand at the time what he was trying to show me man 😳
Almost 45 and saw this on a music channel and instantly took me back to 99, went to Ibiza from 97 to 2008 and raves before that in 90s. This was the peak trance time, trance from about 97-2004. What a tune, makes me feel like a teenager again. The song never ages and sounds as fresh then as now! Lost a great friend last year and he would have seconded this opinion. RIP John!❤❤❤
Still fresh after all these years! God, I remember those days. Closest thing to communal spiritual ecstasy I ever got. If there is a Heaven, I only hope........................................God is a DJ
This is Masterpiece! I am 41years old and I really miss the late 90's and early 2000s . Those were the days ! Includes the Trance Master Paul Van Dyk !
A lot of the appeal I think to music from this time, and from this genre, was the lack of lyrics. The music itself contained all the emotional highs and lows, and the lack of lyrics meant that you could interpret the sounds and apply them to any mood you were in. Your listening of the song was a much a part of the music as the actual tune. Plus, it was universal across all languages, and there was no message or preaching involved. Truly a simpler, better time.
I must protest! Female vocals made the greatest Trance tracks. Paul van Dyk's 'For an Angel'... + Rachel McFarlane's 'Lover' = the greatest Trance tune of all time IMHO. ❤
This makes me feel 20 years younger! My shirt would’ve been off with a face like les Dawson, sweat pissing out and hugging any stranger in front of me. Those were the days☝️☝️☝️
I feel like I did back in the clubs when I first and last heard this all over again. But now I accept it's all over. I'm so happy I felt the way I did back then. That's something I'll never forget. A feeling that last forever.
Even tho I'm becoming a stressed out, grumpy old bastard, and my kids think I'm the oldest man they know...... THEY HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW MUCH FUN I HAD BACK IN THE 90'S Yeeoow. Feels like yesterday...
Get yourself to luminosity beach festival it's like a timewarp man!! only my old bones are a bit more achy these day's. Shit loads of proper old trancers like me 40+ and just so epic
It's fun that i grew up with listening to trance. Everytime i was with my father, he played so good music to me from i was little and grew older. He took me many times driving through europe with all his trance tracks back in the days! I will never forget how fun it was driving on the autobahn in 240 km/h ++ with trance music loud! Such a rush
Cudowne, stare czasy się odezwały... Muza wciąż żyje. Szukałam tego utworu 15 lat . Piękna muza moje młodzieńcze lata. Moja miłość - do dziś. Jestem szczęśliwa 🙂
me too, blank and jones Cream a classis too, same style still retyn to recreate this vibe in my currect music productions, we will retrun to 99 and not be caught sleeing we are wake now, Lord help them. and Lord help us all.
This was when Trance was at it's peak. Although my electronic music taste has evolved over the years, I still love the sound of trance and I remember having some of the best nights of my life as a teenager heading into my 20s. Nowadays these kids listen to junk noise and music that has no flow. I don't mind a bit of dubstep so long as I can dance to it, but some of the shit that's coming out is just that per se. People are now making songs out of fart samples FFS!
omg.!!! The youth will never know this era. Sad really. RUclips helps us remember, but can never take the uninitiated back. So glad my "time" was back then!!!!!!
43 year old man...used to rave to this and the original 1998. I remember the first time I heard the tune listening to the radio. I thought to myself, "I'd love to be in a huge rave when this tune comes on" I dropped my first ever E at the Opera House in Bournemouth and this came on!! Eyes welling up as I recount the memory. The feeling of pure love and boundless possibilities. The dreamer's dream lost in the world of adulting and mortgage.
I’m 21 and have been listening to “retro” trance since I was ten. I work sleep and listen to trance. It’s all I do day after day wishing I was born in a different time.
Was seventeen in 99, this tune stole my heart, soul, mind in a really good way. I am listening once a week when driving, cooking, gym or just to dance to it at home....forever!!!!!
One of the best never gets old am 54 and when I listen this I feel like I’m 25 in Ibiza love it and always will listen to this music no matter how old I am it’s my life force lol 😀🌞☀️
There are chills upon chills streaming through my body hearing this sound. This is as close to time travel I will ever get. I'm back in 1999...house party on a breezy summer night by the pool...swimming with my ladies smoking a blunt...just chillin'...life was good.
Listening to this makes me feel emotional on so many levels: It’s uplifting and life-affirming but it also makes me so very nostalgic for times when I was in my element and free dancing to this in (not necessarily having taken) ecstasy.
I was born in 1990 and found a local station that played tracks like these from across the pond, here in the USA, Texas. I remember as a young teen (11-12 years old) hovering over my radio very late at night to listen to the live DJ at some local club that I had no means of accessing. Even such a sliver of this genre of music has changed my life. I'd give my right arm to be born just a decade earlier to be able to go to these events live when it was really alive. Even now, at 32, I still mostly listen to this, specifically from this era or inspired by it. Nothing chimes at my spirit and soul like Trance. I don't believe in god but this is dangerously close to it. 😅 Edit: I'm right handed btw. 🤣
Being born in 1971 in the UK gave me access to the true essence of the rave/trance/techno scene. Glad that a later generation appreciates the beauty of it! Peace young man! :)
Im 473 years old to the day, i remember the times when tunes. .. anyhow.. the guy that made the tune done good. BRING BACK THE NINETIES 450 YEARS FROM NOW!!
magical times! i have so many great memories. I know God exists cause when u are on that dance floor next to someone u hardly know and yiy just look at eachother and smile maybe ever a good handshake cause u both feel the same emotion. that's being one.
1999 was the best year of my life I was 20 years of age a young man entering the world of new experiences new music new destinations I will never forget this song blasting from the speakers in Malia in the summer of 1999 if I could go back to one point in time this would be it x
I was 25 when this came out (now I´m 44 yrs old) at that time I was so immerse in the rave scene, it gives me chills listen to this after all these years and after some reflexion I can say with purely melancholy... WHAT A GREAT LIFE THIS IS!!!!
@sarah I don't even have to close the eyes... Just memories, feelings, emotions of how the party was over the many years I did it for... Late starter really used to party in houses for a few years and then hit the club scene... Wow... My daughter sees me bounce cleaning and shit in the house but she is never going to be able to grasp exactly how much we did party... Hahaha Shane for her we lived a good experience and I would never miss my memory of any of it...
It's hard to ever see another decade beating this one. From Guru Josh heralding in 1990 through to this track and everything that came along inbetween, a truly magical time to be a teen / 20 something.
Who's listening in 2024? This music was created to be played in churches, because it fills you with so much light, peace, and a feeling of wellbeing!
Me. I got into DDR on PS2 and the midnight club games.
Spun this track on vinyl at the afterparty at my apartment. Long time ago but the memory is fresh…

The music that shaped a generation. I feel like nothing like it will be made again. Although I guess every generation feels the same nostalgia about something different.
Fuck yeah!
They don't play songs like this in clubs anymore.
If I win the lotto I will open a club. And will play this old Skool trance all the time instead of that shit they play now
best club idea to date there my friend
Id pay top dollar to go to that nightclub
Count me in! There's nothing like the good ol days of Techno, hard House, Trance and Goya of the 1990's. So many fond memories and great clubs!
I hope you've kept your vault of 12" songs and will play these best of songs of old!!
I'm with you all the way bud I'll give you a shout when my numbers come up good
Let me know when you open so I can Queue up early -_o
Don't worry oldies ;), I speak for all the 20 year olds that I regularly go to techno parties with when I say that this awesome music still lives on in the right clubs to this day. 🙌🏻
The spirit behind it all died after the noughties though. It was an amazing time of my life and I'd go back to it in a heartbeat if I could.
It's Trance, you must be American! Either way keep it alive 🤪
Enjoy while you can ...
@@nedirajmep i'm trying to but lockdown is making it hard. Haven't been to a rave in two years 😔
@@Flash81_ Ah yeah I was just on a binge watch at the time, listening to house, techno, trance, etc., this was just coincidentally the video I commented under.
RIP bruv....
may he stays in peace in the Trance heaven.... 💜
Amen
Rip to your bro. I guarantee he'd want you to live your life to the fullest. Do it.
RIP I had covid and it nearly wiped me out.
RIP ♥️
This Trance Never die , here old people , i am 54
I still listen to music like this...and yet my mind thinks it's 30 let's trance dance and the 53 yr old body is like I'm going to hurt you...😂😮😅
Born on 2000, I just missed the best generation of music, didn't stop me from discovering gems like this and jamming to trance through my early teens to now
You sure did miss out, Times were so much better and we knew how to have a session . My son was born on 2000 and NO I am not old, I had him at 17. Conceived to some of the best tunes. Just thought I'd fill you in 🤣
@@irishdeetalks Bahahahaha I'd bang to this track too! And so many other timeless masterpieces! Keep on banging LOL
Who cares ? Just be you an enjoy your life .... 😊
House music? Mall Grab is currently producing, in my humble opinion, the highest level music ever created.
sash or chicane?
68 yrs old still love this tune, so many memories, goosebumps 💕💕
1999 was a great year, with enough technology to get around, yet without the social media crap.
So true
I was 18 when this came out, anyone who was young enough to rave to trance during the late 90's early 2000's, you are truly blessed. This is an era where everyone enjoyed themselves with the best club music of all time. At 41 I still enjoy a good rave but nothing beats this era!
Well Sed... Moderation Good Foundation
But we were there.
Listening in 2023 at 53 & still a tune xx
Haha...could have written that line. Great memories of this record.
I was 19 years old when this came out .. i still get the chills when i hear it.. what a track 👌
Timeless Tune!
@@PLsexpicklePL good man im glad im not the only one 😄😄
🎧1999 🎼🎵🎵🎵🎵😎✌
Me too. And was 19 as well.
I was 17, it turned into a 20 year mad one 😂
I remember dancing in 99 in a warehouse in London. Carl Cox i think playing. 5 car loads of us were in that night, sadly a couple gone now. We were a together, lazers bouncing everywhere. Then this track came on. I remember looking around seeing all my friends smiling faces and then lots of hugs. I'll cherish that moment for the rest of my life. We were all part of something soo special.
I almost cry at work with this comment...we were blessed
I'm 53 now & certain songs still unlock some buried emotions after 20 plus years. This is a great example of that. We were young and on our own journeys, like every generation up until people started to use social media to splinter society.
Go to doc and get trt replacement therapy fell young agean!!
@@neotrnty4717 Im happy on Elderpryl,
TUUUUUNE
Spot on my man 💯 brings back so many emotions happy and sad of missed opportunities but also good nights out and the people you went out with you no longer see or aren’t with us anymore ❤
49 now, and you are absolutely correct.
I do the same and I am only 31 years old and feel so good
I'm 64 and always loved Goa Trance.
One Russian from Siberia very much agrees with you ...
It's really sad that one Saturday night you did this, and you didn't know it, but it would be the last time :(
I know what you mean...I would be late at night dancing all by myself, listening to music that everyone else thought was pointless. But I knew. The world was my spinning dancefloor. I started dancing in Germany when I was just 12 years old. Listening to Ravesatellite from a small Berlin radio station called DT64. Marusha spun it all night for me alone, it felt like. 1991....
"The Milkybars are on me!!!!"
west sussex here too buddy, man i miss this euphoric music it actually hurts inside, but the memories are just incredible!
Nick Combe awesome buddy! The memories are strong! Enjoy your Friday night listening and stay safe 😊👍🏼
Absolute masterpiece. Timeless. Brings you to that place in time when everything felt so amazing , the raves of the 90s epic times ❤

We would bee f-D without it 🫢♏️
I'm 46, and hearing Binary Finary's "1999" here on youtube took me back to 2000 when I was 23 and heard it on a Paul Okenfold Mix CD titled Transport. I had no idea who they were, just that he had their song put on his CD, and that I liked it a lot! It still sounds amazing in 2023!
Bought this back in 99 from HMV in Glasgow.... still have it and still banging 😋
20 years later. Still listening, what a tune
When Trance was Trance!
So true m8
exactly lad
Agree
You can't beat it...
Hands up who misses the 90s
My hands are up
born 93 raised in a rave house. dont worry fellas the thirst for it lives on they have no idea what they were missing :P
August 93 … same story as the guy above haha awesome 🤣🏴
My da had me a set of decks at ten years old and a bunch of these old classic records .. too young to understand at the time what he was trying to show me man 😳
Almost 45 and saw this on a music channel and instantly took me back to 99, went to Ibiza from 97 to 2008 and raves before that in 90s. This was the peak trance time, trance from about 97-2004. What a tune, makes me feel like a teenager again. The song never ages and sounds as fresh then as now! Lost a great friend last year and he would have seconded this opinion. RIP John!❤❤❤
Check Channel @TrancesMaster :) u like it :D
I promise hah
It's really sad that I didn't go to Ibiza in the 90s. They say the atmosphere was incredible........
Still fresh after all these years!
God, I remember those days. Closest thing to communal spiritual ecstasy I ever got.
If there is a Heaven, I only hope........................................God is a DJ
This is the Mona Lisa of the music industry. Absolute masterpiece!
This is Masterpiece!
I am 41years old and I really miss the late 90's and early 2000s .
Those were the days ! Includes the Trance Master Paul Van Dyk !
Nothing music wise will touch those golden years, Jungle, Drum n bass, Trance, Garage...what an era that was 👌👌
I'm with you there brother...transcendental, anthemic...
I grew up with this music! :D these were the ones that inspired our modern DJs now lolol!
Love reading the comments for trance tracks. Everybody feel so similar and has such good memories. Not many types of music can cause these feelings
Goosebumps as I read your comment, peace n love bro
This is one of the best dance tracks of all time in my opinion. Very melodic and has one of the best builds ups ever! Wicked tune!!!
Well said sir
Extremely on point observation!
That's the beauty of it tho 😎
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 very well said
I must protest! Female vocals made the greatest Trance tracks. Paul van Dyk's 'For an Angel'... + Rachel McFarlane's 'Lover' = the greatest Trance tune of all time IMHO. ❤
One of my most favourite vinyls that I own. Am 43 now and still love my classic trance 😝
I don't know how people can dislike this tune , it's an absolute monster 💃💙💚💛🧡💜❤🖤🕺and yes it's 20 years old !!

true wonderful years
I TOTALLY agree with you!!!
Fact
It's fun that i grew up with listening to trance. Everytime i was with my father, he played so good music to me from i was little and grew older. He took me many times driving through europe with all his trance tracks back in the days! I will never forget how fun it was driving on the autobahn in 240 km/h ++ with trance music loud! Such a rush
man so goood for u i always imagine doing this with my future kiddos :((
Your father is good.. I am doing excatly this ok maybe i am driveing a slower
Lucky you - my dad was a serious and busy man. Amazing dad, nontheless. :)
I kinda envy you for this
My dad liked country and his favorite instrument was the bag o pipes lol, I'd be lying if I wasn't a little jealous.
This tune is like red wine or good whisky... With time, it's going better and better.

Kay Cee Remix Very good times back in 1999. Cheers to you!
Who doesn't miss the late 90s to early 2000s?
late 80's early 90's was better
This was when Trance was at it's peak. Although my electronic music taste has evolved over the years, I still love the sound of trance and I remember having some of the best nights of my life as a teenager heading into my 20s. Nowadays these kids listen to junk noise and music that has no flow. I don't mind a bit of dubstep so long as I can dance to it, but some of the shit that's coming out is just that per se. People are now making songs out of fart samples FFS!
Est.1886 you are right man!!!
Est.1886 TRUTH
Est.1886 INDEED
I was 15 years old when I heard this in 1999
That when I knew Trance music was made for me.
Too right
I was 15 too... will always remember this one.

1.1.2024 still here to listenin to the masterpiece of old school trance, greetings from
Albania
There are chills upon chills streaming through my body hearing this sound. This is as close to time travel I will ever get. I'm back in 1999...house party on a breezy summer night by the pool...swimming with my ladies smoking a blunt...just chillin'...life was good.
This brought tears to my eyes.. 90's trance is magical, it brings me right back to my childhood. A better simpler time
Is it normal that this song always makes me cry?
Me too !
Its fucking beautiful...
Mate just let it out!!! Absolute love beautiful
There is something very emotional in this music.
Listening to this makes me feel emotional on so many levels: It’s uplifting and life-affirming but it also makes me so very nostalgic for times when I was in my element and free dancing to this in (not necessarily having taken) ecstasy.
Still going 22nd may 2021…. What a banger!
Edit: I'm right handed btw. 🤣
You have great taste my young friend from a 48 year old Trance fan.
I am 46 and have been able to experience this decade to the full. It was a fantastic time. Rave parties everywhere and only this music.
Being born in 1971 in the UK gave me access to the true essence of the rave/trance/techno scene. Glad that a later generation appreciates the beauty of it! Peace young man! :)
My dear friend..I feel blessed to have raved,d.j ed and partied through all those magical years
I'm now in my 50s bit still playing and loving it x
Music is timeless! Waiting for other generations to discover and follow. Raves have made a big comeback!

..... and in 2014, this still rocks a dance floor. Great's like this are like a fine wine, they get better with age.
am a Scottish lad an like we say here ... the older the fiddle the sweeter the tune :D .. (fiddle being the violin for the non savvy folk)
totally. I still play it in venues in Corfu, Magamuf etc - still tears the roof up . . .
Who are you?
1999 was the best year of my life I was 20 years of age a young man entering the world of new experiences new music new destinations I will never forget this song blasting from the speakers in Malia in the summer of 1999 if I could go back to one point in time this would be it x
My heads guna blow off . Wat a tune stil on it 2023 just wow💨🔥
I was 25 when this came out (now I´m 44 yrs old) at that time I was so immerse in the rave scene, it gives me chills listen to this after all these years and after some reflexion I can say with purely melancholy... WHAT A GREAT LIFE THIS IS!!!!
Im 51 and get goosebumps when i hear it what a tune
Close your eyes and dream this tune takes you back to where you want to be..
Amen to that
Remember those days when we had hope?
23 years later and this song just gets better and better the more times I hear it love this music miss these times
A glorious star that still shines brightly over us, it heralded the birth of trance and is the symbol of emotional perfection ❤
