Our next 12-inch venture is a superb Techno fuelled remix from Bart Skils of the world-wide smash hit Universal Nation. We all know the story of Universal Nation and that of its creator. There has been a plethora of remixes over the years, taking the original sound into new territory, new genres. Each and every effort has its own merits and we couldn’t be prouder of the impact this has had on electronic dance music history. This release will be in collaboration with Filth On Acid who will be releasing Bart’s remix in digital format. Dutch DJ and producer Bart Skils is the man of the moment, delivering the goods in a brand-new twist in the legacy of this mighty classic. A highly respected artist in Holland and beyond, Skils’ DJ sets are celebrated by Techno lovers as forward thinking and well-constructed. He is part of Adam Beyers’ leading Techno imprint, Drumcode Records and he’s churned out quite a few releases on several other labels. He is very much in demand and his passion for music takes him to various locations around the Europe. With this solid remix we’re delighted to have him on board.
Bart Skils adorns the A-side with his remix and he notches up quite a treat for us which will grab a lot of attention. Pounding kick drums lead the way alongside deep rumbling basses that dominate the low end. The infectious Universal Nation melody filters in, teasing us with snippets of the wide-open synths. Before long we’re locked in as the melody in all its glory is unleashed. On the break we find the original robotic vocals as the melody builds along with a snare roll taking us to the climax and back to full-on mode for the duration.
As an added bonus, on the flip, we have the original masterpiece that never ever disappoints.

100 % Agree.................A month ago went to a dinner with some friends from a trading academy where I coach ( all of them younger than me )....we end up in a disco and they start playing some old trance........I dance all night long non stop, no drugs, no alcohol just feeling......I was the last one to exit the dancing floor !!!
We were free, we could dance until 11 a.m. in the Dorian Gray, we could walk through the city of Frankfurt at night without fear, we could speak our minds, we didn't have that much poverty and violence in Germany, all in all we had one very free youth that was not dictated by the media and cellphones....we were happy and we were very free to that time.... I wish that today's generation could enjoy the same experiences and such carefree times as we had....

Techno and Trance nightlife back in the days was truly an escape, a dark world in which you can become anyone, it for sure was never intended to become an identity, a social prestige on Instagram etc. The world has truly lost depth and meaning, and the more we're moving forward, the worst it gets, despite how visually stimulating it can be...
News programs like 20/20 used to love to sell the "dangers" of raves - drug use, "dangerous" dark industrial dance floors, and lots of hot, steamy, illicit, immoral, and "naughty" sex (which didn't happen). Beating the same old "do you know where your kids are" drum they scared suburban mothers like my mom into keeping kids like me away from electronic music, The Matrix, and anything remotely alternative. The joke was on her - I'd started listening to alternative music years earlier, back when she made me stop listening to rap.

I thought that too in the 80s when I was obsessed with Pink Floyd. Trying to imagine how that must have been to people in the 60s who had NEVER heard anything like it. We are so blessed to have access to a million musics. Start an underground old school trance club in your garage!!!

Ich bin froh und dankbar diese Zeit miterlebt zu haben, denn es war die schönste und intensivste Zeit in meinem Leben mit allem was dazu gehörte und diese Erinnerungen kann mir keiner mehr nehmen.

Born in 1962. Visited Berlin many times at the end of the 70’s and during the eighties, spent a lot of time in Linientreu enjoying dark wave and electronic body music. Now i discovered this track 2 years ago… my God, what did I miss! But since then full into Techo and Trance. And since last year back in Berlin again for Rave the Planet. My first rebirth!

I danced all night in the middle of the forest at a rave. This was one of the tracks played. Epic
OK everyone, i left school in 1979 and for the 1st 10-12 years of my young adult life i was a rocker complete with hair down to my ass. Then in 93-94 i happened upon a sound i had never heard before, it was carl cox doing a new years eve essential mix and it blew me away. I am now 60 years young and since that day i have bought and listened to and enjoyed Trance and Techno. To me the music resonates at certain frequencies that aligns perfectly with our bodies higher functions. There is no other music that manipulates our inner thoughts and wiring, triggering certain chemicals in the brain and charging the whole nervous system with electricity. There isnt a day that goes by without Trance/Techno being played by me, often very loud regardless and dancing around the room like i am 25 again
The universe operates on values of 3 6 9 Tesla knew this and so did the controllers, that's why we pay for everything now , there hasn't been a song since jimmy Hendrix produced at 244mhz except trance music, it is the healing frequencies that you feel and resonate with .
