I LOVE that you told those who don't like your food inspector should find another channel! I will be signing up for your one on one coaching!
Bro I love your content. It's super nice that you don't make videos for the absolute beginner where I get taught how to dice onion for the hundreth time, but instead your target audience is people who already can cook and can be trusted to determine the right amount of cream for a soup themselves. Keep going chef!
I love your comment about the dog!!! Very pleased!
I’ve been making this for the last 6 months and it gets compliments every time. I used the same principle for a leek and roast potato soup and it worked really well.
Happy to hear it ;)
Just finished having this soup for dinner tonight @ChefMajk and it was incredible. Instead of the carrots I grated cucumber and jalapeno on the top for more fresh crunch. Very surprised by how simple the recipe is, and the mega flavour punch it delivers. Nice one Chef.
Glad you like it ;)
Chef, delicious soup. Next time I'll add less onion. Thank you for inspiration. Those carmelized carrots are awesome.
U gotta be the coolest chef in the kitchen with that whisk!
YAY!!!! A dog dad/chef!ove you. Thank you.❤😊
Thank you for sharing your expertise once again, Chef!
❤❤❤ I love the simplicity while maintaining class. Good job
Looks beautiful and delicious, like always! Thank you Chef!
Came to watch for soup, stayed for dog and approach to cooking. Letting the viewer create their own intepretations is a great way to learn. Thanks Chef.
Glad you like it :)
Looking forward to this one, Chef Majk.
Me too!
Cannot wait to make this tomorrow! Love the dog in the kitchen!
Good luck ;)
I looove the dog!! What a great addition to the channel :D much love from Australia!
Thank you so much!
Can't wait to make this one. Thank you, Chef Majk! 😊
Made the soup this afternoon..and it was fantastic…much much better than I anticipated..so Thankyou very much
Happy to hear it ;)
Wonderful recipe, we enjoyed it very much. Thank you 🙏
Made this today without the coconut milk and it was perfect. Thank you very much chef
Happy to hear it ;)
love it again. I like the focus on making something for yourself, and less mimicry
For sure
That’s exactly what I do…..thank you Chef for giving that advice ❤
good job :)
Absolutely great recipe, thanks!
My pleasure 😊
Chef Majk.
Big thank you for sharing your knowledge.. I always try to make your beautiful recipes .. You are amazing! Well done, you.
Big thank you
Wow this is next level ❤
The presentation looks very very impressive…and to be fair you made it look so simple…I might just give it a go
Have fun ;)
Your mention of your doggo not going anywhere made a tear fall from my eye. I miss my furbaby-tasting friend so much.
Glad to hear it ;)
I hardly use recipes myself until….
You know the answer!
Looking great again!
You have to see the difference between recipes (measurements) and techniques. If you know techniques you no need recipes. But if you know a recipe that doesn't mean you know the techniques
True to some extent, I was referring to pastry….
Am a chef myself and there’s nothing wrong with cooking “on the feel” at all! In fact, like you said, it teaches more than a recipe!
Keep m coming!
@@ikvangalen6101 ofc I am talking about main courses, not a pastry
Lol, then we understand each other! 👍🏼 👍🏼 👌
Thanks chef, for the recipes and the doggy,:)
Amazing recipe Chef Majk !!! The soup was mind blowing. I only struggled to get the right texture for the cheese, as I used burrata instead of goat cheese. Would you recommend another cheese apart from goat ? Thanks, your channel is totally brilliant !!
Who the hell would complain about a dog in the kitchen? BTW he is a food inspector on duty... How should Mike know the quality of his food otherwise?!
There are some people in the comments, but like you said, how would I know right :)
Answer: Cat people
Overly dramatic, wannabe professional, know it all type of, miserable people
Dog in kitchen? That's nasty. Do you not know the nasty things they lick?
People hate the truth.
Wonderful plating Chef...
You should have another food inspector to make the first one happy. :)
That is what my girlfriend often tells me 😄
It is a great honour to see someone talented as a chef like yourself .your creation of the carrot soup is beyond sublime.,and legantly and beautifully presented . Your talent is worth of a.great admiration .
Thx ;)
Thank you Chef ❤
Love your cooking theory.
VERY NICE recipes ❤
Thx :)
Hi from Portugal, love the channel, is so Inspiring 😊
What type of goat cheese do you use?
Thanks
wow top recipe as always chef .
Thx ;)
I like the simplicity of this recipe.
It would be nice to get some ratio of ingredients. While i agree that recipes are more like guidelines, it helps to know what the dish is suppose to taste like when you cook it for a first time, and you can adjust for your taste from there.
Yes. I am not a trained chef and can't even estimate the amounts. If given a base recipe, I can adjust it to my taste. But I tried this and it did not impress me. Won't try it again. Probably because I can't estimate ingredients.
Thank you.
Your channel is amazing!! - looking forward to cooking these dishes! Quick question: about how long does the coconut/goat cheese cream last in the fridge?
Few days
Recipes are just rough guides and inspiration. People have different taste buds, and should always taste their food along the way. I'll try this recipe idea, but of course with my own little twists.
Lol I'm not doing all that work, but I appreciate the ideas, very straight forward
😂😂 Love the dog comment!!👏👏👏
Quality content maik
I agree chef
This soup looks not only delicious, but it so pretty! Could you use just cream cheese instead of goat cheese?
Yes for sure
Food inspector for life! 🐕
Looks fabulous! Any specific wine you suggest that would pair nicely with this soup?
No expert in wine at all
I love your dog.
New sub. French mustard soup please if you know it. Maybe it is Dutch but they call it ‘French’. Best soup I ever had (after your prawn bisque today 😊). I had this soup in Amsterdam 30 years ago and have been looking for a recipe for decades. Got a few french mustard sauce recipes I have tried, but its not the same. Never seen it on any restaurant menu in France and when I ask French people about it they don’t know it😢.
I never saw and never heard about mustard soup to be honest 😁
@@ChefMajk thanks, I was worried you would say that. I think it must be a Dutch recipe using French mustard. That would explain why no French friend of mine has heard of it. My search continues. Might have to visit Amsterdam again :)
You couldn't get rid of the food inspector because he's the boss another fantastic dish thanks
For sure is boss :)
Whats the white stuff you put in the pan?
Chef can we do giveaway for that amazing whisk and congrats to your RUclips play
mine was nowhere near as orange as that but still tasted great
Me encanta sus recetas favor subtitular al español bendiciones
Yummy
The only complaint I would have about this is there's not enough soup in the bowl, I want to eat all of it!
Just put more when you make it .)
@@ChefMajk Absolutely! A big steaming hot bowl of this will be perfect for the cold winter nights ahead :)
What do you do with the left over food waste? Do you use it for a stock later?
What waste for example?
@@ChefMajk the peeled carrots, did you use the skins for anything?
@@alexmindes9628 no
Was that granulated sugar or icing sugar for the caramel?
Doesn't matter at all
@@ChefMajk thanks! On the menu for Sunday night dinner tomorrow.
Can i use feta cheese instead?
It looks nice and tasty but it will be never enough warm for me.soup for winter should be very warm
Make it hot then for you, you cannot reheat soup in the pot or where is a problem? 😁
Food inspector gang unite! 🐶
🙈
Never used it before....but I bought coconut cream and it's literally a thick cream and not a thick milky consistency...in the U.S. is this coconut milk?
You need something thick, creamy, fatty for the right consistency not a milk
Well now! I’m really glad your dog isn’t going away any time soon. He is such a joy to watch and though I love your cooking, the video just wouldn’t be the same without your “food inspector”.
Happy to hear it ;)
Came for the technique, stayed for the dog.
Good job ;)
Food inspector>hater
Can we also have a cat taster 😂😂
Don’t worry about improvising, I never follow any recipe anyway 🤣🤣🤣
I like this soup!!! Yummy! Thanks.
And I'm afraid my dog, AND my cat, AND visiting dogs, are ALL used to sitting in my kitchen, getting under my feet and gobbling up unhealthy titbits! So....
No good as testers....they eat anything and everything.
Some estimated measurements would be nice. Mine turned out sub-par as I am not a trained chef. I have better recipes from other channels that actually tell you how much to use.
I don't have the money or time to make this 20 times to try to figure out some basic amounts. Thks.ks.RUclips. You need to consider your audience.
Then watch a different channel...here never will be exact recipes because I am not using any.
Basic amounts you can see in the video and if you want to become a very good cook in your life you have to try a bit a learn to cook. If you want to stay just an average cook, keep copying recipes from others, but then my channel is not for you. Choice is yours
Chef Majk! I love your content but please don't use AI for your thumbnails
Why no?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💋
The food inspect stays. Period.
👏
well behaved dogs belong everywhere! kitchen, dining room, restaurants!
For sure ;)
I’ll take a dog in the kitchen any day. My daughter’s damn cat keeps jumping up on the kitchen counter where I cook. Now that is gross!
i'm glad you dont cook italian
Me too :)
