It looks weird but it works like the bowguns, the projectile follows a line from the arm (in bowguns case from the tip of it) so even if the reticle pointed at Shara's arm the projectile collided with the hindleg (which puts you on the tail)
@@trey1654 Man you can use it or not, people don't care about Palico, people don't care about Mantles, people don't care about Claw, there are plenty of things you can CHOSE AND DECIDE if you are gonna use or not, for instance a didn't use natural environment traps for a long time and I almost cleared Iceborn without using the wall slam from the Claw, finished base game with almost never using the Temporal or Rocksteady mantles, never care about the Palico weapon or gadget as much, and I can go on and on. Watching this runs even if they feel somehow cheap sometimes are still amazing since someone actually cared about trying and doing them with the required skill, knowledge, practice and grinding to perform them which most of us will never do.
I have a feeling that the first stage is like Kulve where its just about 'Break x parts to proceed to stage 2' type thing so damage is less important...I guess... IDK
@@Perfectionado no you need to get him below his hp transformation threshold. which i believe was either 75% or 50% hp. it doesn't matter how many parts you break. although breaking them does help because it softens the hit zones. he ran him into the wall twice which was already 20% of his health, so he really only had to do 30% of his health to have him change forms. the reason the handler yells at you to get on the hydras back....oh wait wrong game.
I could never be a speed runner. I just wouldn’t be able to appreciate the monster I’m hunting. Of course I wanna make sets the allow me to solo monsters, but at least then, I can appreciate the monster I’m hunting and not just be like “oh, it’s Rajang.....great....” unlike when I have a set that allows me to not only solo the monster, but have a good experience with it. So instead, with a solo monster set, I’d be like “A RAJANG!!! AWESOME!! Time for a amazing fight.”
Bruh I had a full team when fighting it and we were only able to break the rock layer in the amount of time this video is and tii just killed it solo in less time than it took for me and my team to break the rock layer.

Theres a mission that teaches you how to use the clutch claw. Iceborne expansion only. U need any slinger ammo. Left trigger and O or B (ps vs xbox) to grab hold. O or B again to turn monster towards wall (have enough stamina!). Right trigger to launch towards wall.
Just an opinion. I run blast CB too, and sacrifice one att. V for a aff. V in combo with the augment, while running a weak ex./crit EYE build gives you 100% pure affinity for never ending crits, using 2 pieces of rajang for polish you ALSO hardly ever sharpen.

CB is one of the hard weapon to leartn, but that because you not using it enough. Once you get used to it, all the move will feel natural to you , you don't even think about it much.

L2 + Circle will clutch onto the monster, its different from mounting. Also this is only if you have Iceborne
