LYRICS:
I'm still not fucking over it
You play like violins in a broken fucking symphony
and i know this hurts for you but I have no fucking sympathy
infectious cold, I've spent living with neglect
yet I still can't let you go, and I'm still not fucking over it
I know my suffering's what keeps you alive
and I know you fucking love it.
6 years i fell for this love disguised in fucking misery
my sinking ship, will you be the fucking death of me?
you breathe only in withered lies, your perversion of distrust
now another full length down and we're still not fucking over this.
And when your eyes become the looking glass
through which only reflect the fucking past
conceived in poignant everlasting despair
you fell in love with the evil that you bare
I can't forgive, i won't forget
This dream was ours but you ripped it to shreds
There's no escape, i can't reflect
the distance kills me but your presence's a threat
I will stay with you and cut right through
Through the essence of all that once was "like new"
out of place but you turned away
leaving nothing but the mess that you made
you traded everything for a life of broken promises
at 23 i've fallen out when you left me with this bitterness
A frame of glass and a love that's built on sorrow,
Is a see through coffin for a heart that beats so hollow
I know this eats you alive
that which doesn't kill you just fucks with your mind
for too long i have lived just another slave bound by your torment
but i am not afraid anymore
I am not your fucking puppet
The snow has turned to rain so now i hope you're fucking happy
6 years i fell for this dead look your face.
When the rain has washed away, what will be underneath?
A midnight breeze of chilled unease, when we began amiss.
The haunting scent of autumn makes a scornful heart resist.
A longing bliss in carnal stints of thighs gracing betwixt your hips
The harvest moon drapes aloft these graven, tattered crypts
Please just let me let you go
and kiss the life from my lips
to show me a love not even death can resist
I am the boy with a thorn in his side
and i'm still not fucking over it
When he said “MOVE” it sent chills down my body
SAME BRO
That breakdown....fucking sledgehammer
P
always love when people comment "this isn't metal" "Real Metalheads wouldn't listen to this"
i have to respectfully disagree
go back to the origins of Metal, the early pioneers, the first few new branches of Metal.
the Sabbaths, the Maidens, the Priests, The Zeppelins, etc. etc. etc.... all fairly melodic with a great range of vocals. this is an evolution of that as much as Death Metal is, just on totally different branches, yet so called "Real" Metalheads always seem to mention different offshoots of Death as what Real Metalheads listen to.
personally, i consider myself a "Real" Metalhead. been listening to Metal before it was even known as Metal, and i enjoy this for what it is. Catchy hooks, good melodies and harmonies. good range of singing.
and Death Metal is just as "Emo" as this, they are just Angrier about it haha
Interesting that people would say this isn't metal. Lack of guttural growling doth not a soft track make.
I am a metal head, can sometimes be seen headbanging along on my motorbike when allowed out in public and this would be a track I would do so to. I am a bit covert now, balding old men don't carry off the metal look well so short hair, not skinhead I can count above my IQ (punk skinheads will appreciate the humour), clothes are comfortable and mundane looking and they don't make band tees in tech fabrics. The headphones pumping out aural abuse is the only give away.
I like what I like, mostly metal, but not all of that. One thing I do know however is there isn't a single Genre or sub-genre I like everything in. Been into metal since I was introduced to it in France nearly 30 years ago, been generally getting heavier and faster in taste ever since. I keep saying I will end up listening to white noise with political lyrics and bopping along at some point.
General preferred is fast pace, varied vocals and tempo, more screaming for heavy sound than growling ideally both with some clean, either meaningful, political or ridiculous lyrics.
People who usually produce this and experiment in this are white and male.
All of my favourite bands have produced at least a few tracks I don't like, if they don't experiment I get bored with them and experimentation produces variety meaning some stuff is not to my personal taste.
And of course all generalisations are wrong. Love that phrase for sheer ironic impossibility.
I like Disturbed cover of Sound of Silence, it's slow not remotely heavy, not even close to my normal tastes and not metal, I still like it.
I like Sevendust, prefer Iron Maidens to Iron Maiden in terms of sound a lot of the time, no disrespect to Bruce who is awesome.
One of my favourite bands is Strapping Young Lad, I respect Devin's choice to go to Prog but I liked his heavy ranting more. Even then there are songs of theirs I didn't like, Satan's Ice Cream truck is amusing here and there but I would never have it on my playlist.
Metalcore and screamo are fine, but its not metal
@@KeaHM shut the fuck up black metal boy
@@TheHardmouth weirdest insult i've ever received
Preach. Please say it louder for the people on the back
THAT CHORUS!!!
I love the last part
Easily one of my favorite heavy tracks from motionless. Bjorn does so good with Chris. The breakdowns and screams in this song are top-notch.
That Chorus is the best part of this album , maybe the best thing ever :o
I love how there's lyrics from The Smiths in both Puppets and Puppets 2. In Puppets he sings "I am human and I need to be loved just like everybody else does." The next line he even says "So Morrissey please sing me to sleep" In Puppets 2 he sings "I am the boy with the thorn in his side." This is just another reason why I love Motionless In White so much :)
Came here for Bjorn Strid.
He is the master of all vocal art and in the best band known to man.
yes. yes he is
Facts
The verse:
Six years I fell for this dead look on your face.
When the rain has washed away, what will be underneath?
A midnight breeze of chilled unease, when we began amiss.
The taunting scent of autumn makes a scornful heart resist.
A longing bliss in carnal stints of thighs gracing betwixt your hips.
The harvest moon drapes aloft these graven, tattered crypts.
Reminds me of old school Cradle of Filth. Now I'm not comparing these two bands to each other, but that part just reminds me of something that Dani Filth would write and when it was sung it reminded me of him singing it. This may just be me, but I think that the above verse could be why MIW recruited Dani Filth for Puppets 3. (Maybe Dani heard himself in that verse, like I did). Sorry for the random comment, but I had to say it.
I love Bjorn's voice, SO MUCH
I can't forgive, I can't forget
THIS DREAM WAS OURS, BUT YOU RIPPED IT TO SHREDS!
There's no escape, I can't reflect...
THE DISTANCE KILLS ME, BUT YOUR PRESENCE'S A THREAT!
I love the variety of this album. Motionless is definitely a force to be reckoned with!!!! Great music and amazing musicians. MIW for life!
SO GLAD Bleeding Through influenced them. Sad that BT broke up, but knowing MIW will be around gives me a positive look on the future.
Will he be over it in Puppets 3? Hmm...
Chrystal Rose he isnt
wtf he is
Chrystal Rose. Lol
Chrystal Rose would you be
I love the whole album, but I think this is the best song on it. SO BRUTAL!!!!
This album is fucking AMAZING. The lyrics, the progression they've made as a band.. I honestly think they're in their prime. This is just pure magic. Best band to date.
This album has a sound like no other just check out the last 5 years of live music that toured the US. Motionless in White is totally underrated.
Dude, Chris' vocal range is amazing.
first I was like "hey, this has a distinct Bleeding Through vibe to it, cool". then a minute later I realized that this whole song is basically Kill to Believe with different lyrics.
also, Speed is such a guest vocals slut. not that it's a bad thing, he really does make pretty much everything that much better.
It's the mixing. The deluxe sounds a bit less like BT. Also, unlike BT these guys didn't do the whole sing half the song twice thing.
Every Motionless in White song ever:
*epic screaming*
*orgasm-worthy chorus*
*repeat*
you forgot badass breakdowns
rawr
chorus 101
blegh
fuck
repeat
Every Motionless Song currently:
NO Screaming
No good chorus
Repeat the same part over and over like a pop song
No Epic Keyboard part
No good lyrics
No thought involved
Nothing Memorable
Proskeet8. Oooooh I see. Your that one asshole who expects them to do the same thing over and over again because they are a metal band. your just pissy because Chris didn’t write about scary shit on Disguise. He wrote about his mental health mostly . And now your gonna comment back with something totally unrelated and try to defend your stupid ass comment. Now if YOU didn’t like it then obviously that’s fine. But don’t be that kind of person.
@@proskeet8941 disguise is the best album so far though and creatures was their worst, I am including the whorror here. Stay mad.
I didn't even know there was an album after Creatures. I just heard about Reincarnate as well. Well, MIW just got 2 more purchases from me when I get paid.
It takes a bit to get into the new sound - It will grow on you
This and devils night are the best songs on the album
I literally couldn’t agree more
Chris' screams during the chorus are amazing, they give me chills everytime
I reeeeaaaaaallly want a Puppets 3 (The Storm) or something along those lines
Hope you're satisfied lol
@@hiimlure Hahahah, forgot about this comment. Puppets 2 is my favorite of the trilogy but 3 stands tall nonetheless
Thank you Pandora Radio for this song and band. 🤘🤘
everytime this song gives me goose bumps
A fucking masterpiece.
Motionless in White & Soilwork are pretty fucking dope aren't they?
And people say this album isnt heavy
This album is so heavy that they didnt even realize how heavy it is
Barely
Everything is opinionated subjectively
Mega Heavy
No one says that lol.
That "MOVE" scream at the end O_O
This song is so epic!
I still cant believe MIW got the Soilwork singer to get on the track.
It makes it that much better.
...one of the greats of the melodic death metal men... the vocal of soilwork
Utterly talented song writing
its a trip remembering these guys back in early 2007 and seeing them now. they really stepped it up in every way possible.
PUPPETS 3 THE HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!! ^0^

Bleeding through, is that you?!
I loved reading the thank you's from all the band members at the back of the album booklet.
i like this song of bleeding through... oh wait!
Rodrigo Pinto that's one of their biggest inspirations.... Chris has done several songs with Brandon
MIW became even more awesome when they did a song with Bjorn "Speed" Strid from Soilwork. So badass!
Wish they would go back to making music like this again.
This album is too freaking good. Especially this song. Loved it so much, I added it to one of the Tekken tag 2 stages.
the vocals in the chorus make this worthwhile listening to, is that soilwork singer?
Bjorn Speed Strid!!!!
Awesome collaboration. Nuff said.
Great sound to play while playing animal crossing
Can't wait for Puppets 3; Dani Filth from Cradle of Filth is supposed to be a guest vocalist from what I've heard. I'm not kidding, either.
It's out now on itunes :D
Jason C i have the song :D
There's a lyric video up for it. I fucking loved it. During Dani's parts, it actually sounded like a Cradle of FIlth song....which I didn't expect, but it made me love it even more as a CoF fan.
It’s 2021....AND I’M STILL NOT FUCKING OVER THIS SONG!
this song and burned at both ends are probably the best songs on this amazing album
Best track on the album, Bjorn fits in so well with the song.
The vocals at 4:11 Kinda give me a Cradle of Filth vibe :)
By far my favorite song on here!
THIS SONG NEEDS A MUSIC VIDEO.
im a fan of soilwork and motionless in white so this is beastly song
Still my favorite Bleeding Through cover band
bjorn makes everything better but how did this even come to be like seriously i just don't know how these 2 would get together
no idea either, but glad they did though.
maybe toured with them?
Soilwork would definitely be a major influence too, like they are for most "Metalcore (and similar genre)" bands out there
2 completely different types of bands from 2 completely different labels. That tend too tour with very different sort of bands
Shivers OMG
I agree like i was so stoked for this new album and i found THIS!!! good thing they play more of thier old songs when you see them live
I like his vocals
finally, something that sounds more like them. Love it.
So many good lines in this one, but my absolute favorite is " I am a boy with a thorn in his side"
I hear a lot of different artists on Infamous, actually. "America", "The Divine Infection" and "Hatefuck" sound like they could've come right off of Marilyn Manson's The Golden age Of Grotesque (possibly because they were produced by former MM member Tim Skold who composed/produced that CD), "Sinematic" sounds like Manson and Linkin Park (I thought only Chester Bennington could hit those notes), "Infamous" sounds like Manson and KoRn, then there are the two with kind of a Cradle of Filth feel.
Chorus sounds like "like light to the flies" by Trivium! Love this song!!!
This needs to be the next single, the video would be amazing. This is my favourite song, I hope they play it at Download with Ville Valo doing Bjorn's part.
This song is so awesome!
Speed is like bacon... he makes everything better.
this is so amazing
Awesomeness
Definitely my favorite song on the new disc. I'm glad I gave the album another listen. I expected 'Creatures' and was a little let down at first. But after the 2nd listen through I enjoy it. I am not going to hate on a band for doing making a different sounding record. It's proof that you can still be heavy and not have a breakdown every other riff.
im completely agree with u
MOOOOOVVVEEE!!!
"I AM NOT AFRAID ANYMORE, I AM NOT YOUR FUCKING PUPPET!" that part literally ran chills through my spine, epic song
I LOVE that choris!
I wish this music could have the spotlight again
Damn right. Bjorn is the shit.
eeepppp they came home last night
"If its dead, we'll kill it"
vocalist of that band is in it
No just yes
Best Album Ever. Motionless in White never disappoints!
Entra ano, sai ano esse som continua sendo uma obra prima insuperável do metalcore
Reminds so much of Bleeding Through, which is awesome.
i love all the guest vocals on this album, they are actually good guest vocalists and at least they don't have a 15 second part, this is one more reason this is my favourite band ever, they don't waste other artists time. \m/ btw what band is bjorn from again i love his vocals so i would like to check them out
Bjorn is from the band Soilwork. He's also been the vocals for Coldseed, and Disarmonia Mundi
Favorite song off this record
And I'm still not fucking over it
This song is so sick. Here's why:
1st Breakdown 0:50 "and we're still not fucking over this"
2nd Breakdown 2:57 "I am not your fucking puppet"
3rd Breakdown 4:29 "Please just let me let you go"
"I am the boy with a thorn in his side,
And I'm still not fucking over it!!"
this song is amazing
Björn made this song good
made it better*,not good.
Ghanem Al Kuwari
I heard the keyboard player sings it live
If only people knew bjorn speed.... soilwork is one of the best bands in this genre period....he has grown so much...most don't like him but his help with scar symmetry proves it's him who helps bands get to the next level even tho it's not enough in the usa
Yeah the chorus does not fit the rest of the song. It sounds like two completely different songs. These guys suck. Soilwork is excellent tho.
I'm obsessed with this song
I love Puppets (The first snow) and I love this one just as much! *_* so amazing
Yea Infamous is deffinantly a masterpeice.. But I think I just discovered my new favorite band.. Make Them Suffer.. Check out their "Neverbloom" album.. It's like symphonic deathcore.. Pretty wicked
2 of my favorite vocalists on 1 track...drools*
I loved Puppets The First Snow and I love Puppets 2! \m/
I’m still obsessed with the chorus till this day
Björn turns everything he touches into pure awesomeness!!! fuck yeah!
This reminds me so much of Bleeding Through, so good.
yeah the radius and the circumference too his accuracy is pretty neat too cx
I AM NOT YOUR FUCKING PUPPET.. UUUAAGGHH
+DarkendSoulxXx We are fuckin infamous
I'm still not fucking over it.
fucken hell this sounds like bleeding through. especially the vocals
I LO0VE YOU BJORN AND YOU TOO CHRIS. HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS
I like the chorus!
True dat Make Them Suffer are awesome!
one of my favorites:)
THE LOOKING GLASS!!!!!!
