Man, I gotta say I appreciate all the work that goes into the video and that you list the fragrances in the description. You're the best at what you do Sebastian!
Great job, Sebastian. Loved the bonus notes especially. You are so conscientious. I think your fans like me see you as the perfume expert & influencer with the most encyclopedic knowledge of fragrances on youtube, so this was a perfect addition to the previous two videos.
Hi Sebastian, so good to see your comments in an hour. About papyrus i think is so mysterious, very dry, its like entering in an ancient chamber. I realized that the combination of myhrr olibanum and papyrus is the combination that makes lalique ombre noire the hidden gem it is. Greetings
Dear Sébastien, you are so knowledgeable I am hoping you can help me to find a fragrance that resemble lindon tree blossoms 🌼 or another name Tilia cordata, here in the Northern America it called Basswood or Tilia Americana. It blossoms every year in June/early July and it's little yellow flowers are very fragrant. If anyone knows a fragrance with similar aroma please write the name here in comments.
Great long video, from this ones immortelle, violet leaves, cedar, jasmine, mint and dried fruits are my favorites, I recently bought a botte of Annick Goutal Sables original formula, I'm absolutely in love with, the immortelle in it, it's to die for. Too many notes, too many fantastic combinations and fragrances, keep'em coming! Thank you Sebastian!!!
I feel like people would pay you for personalized recommendations based on things they like and things they're looking for 👀 I noticed recently I have a gap in my collection for spicy fragrances in general so I'm going to explore that category based on some of your past videos.
Finally found this one. On this list, caramel and oak moss. I love Italica so I guess almond. I love to cook with rhubarb so I should sample those fragrances. This list is so helpful as I buy for myself and others and it will help me choose from so many options. Oh, and Blue Cypress! I have been looking for something to replace the Blue Cypress and Snow scent that I love from Nest. They discontinued it. I am going to definitely try that Goldfield & Banks.
Until very recently I didn't care much for plum notes, but since discovering BDK's Wood Jasmine which, in fact, primarily smells of plums, at least for me, I see it as a great note for the colder seasons - autumn, maybe winter too. With that in mind, the plum seems to be criminally underused and underrated in the perfume industry.. :)
Wow almost 1 hour long video but I'm enjoying it! Packed with informasi. I like fresh cut ginger vibes in 100Bon Gingembre and Rhubarb in Charriol Royal White
I don’t have 40 but in no particular order: Champagne Cherry Blossom Lavender Chocolate/Cacao & Coffee (it has to be these 2 together for the winter time) Pink Pepper
You mentioned Cedar! Was just watching a video from a few years back with Dalya “Top 20 woody fragrances” and you mentioned you would eventually do a top 20 cedar together but I do not see one in all your videos! Would really be interested in this going into Fall.
Love your videos - thank you for the time, effort, and talent you put into them! Also, in addition to the rhubarb scents you mentioned, I recently enjoyed Flash Back from Olfactive Studio.
Hi Sebastian! Great list! I have a couple note ideas- how about forest notes- such as Enchanted Forest and other such fragrances ( my personal favorite, underknown, is Blackbird by Olympic Orchids) and what about massoia wood? I only know that fragrance Stash but there must be others..
I made many videos private after an evil retailer filed a copyright on some photos I used in my videos of fragrances they sell. I decided to make all videos featuring this retailers fragrances private per my attorney until it's resolved. If not resolved I will reupload the videos with the retailers fragrances blacked out. And I will no longer feature any of the brands this evil retailer sells!
I absolutely adore clover, but I find it doesn't last too long on me. That said I bet I am missing some as I've only fallen in love with Trefle Pur by Atleier. Got any clover recommendations?
I have a need to mention the following: For blackcurrant - vegabond prince enchanted forest For juniper berry - penhaligon’s juniper sling For dried fruits - liquides imaginaires bello rabelo
For the note of Carmel you should check out the Christian cowan by the house of sillage. I would also love for you to review the whole line of mens fragrances.
Radieux is pronounced (roughly) rah-dee-EH, not rah-DOH. In French it only has an O sound, if the vowel A is in there, so only AU and EAU . OU sounds like U, EU sounds like E and OI sounds like UA. So it's Bertrand Doo-shoh-FOOR, Ernest BOH, Moh-REES Roo-CEL, Fran-SUA Demachy, Olivier peh-SHEH, etc.
One Umbrella For Two has a gorgeous Cedar note and also there is a cedar-y one by Chris Collins. I forget the name but if you search I am sure you will find..
I appreciate your outros! When you do give-aways you should bury them here without announcing them - just saying. Also, you said you aren't doing more notes BUT you asked us to tell you what notes you missed that we like. So...Spearmint (very different from mint) is so interesting and I imagine only turns up in masculine frags for some reason; Rosemary (you could include tarragon here as I believe they are used interchangeably for similar effect while remaining distinct from one another); melon and cucumber (often aquatic - not marine) so different from other fruit notes; Birch Tar (sure you could pair it with Cade) for all of our favorite smokey frags; Boozy (did you touch on this - I don't think so), boozy seems to be a big trend recently. Anyway, I think your NOTES videos are interesting, less for ranking and being favorite notes, and more as a device to learn about frags for each note. Thank you for rocking it.

Great video, Sebastian. My top 5 fragrances are: oakmoss, myrrh, cedar, vetiver, and tobacco. Honorable mention goes to saffron.

I don’t have a lot of experience in tomato 🍅 leaf 🍃 but I am loving Eris Green Spell 💚 will check out your 3 recommendations 😍
Would argue Beach but man is a citrus vetiver scent, and cypress from coffee Christian is the best cypress scents. Oh and drakaar was my jam late 90s
Sebastian, why was part 2 removed from RUclips? It is also gone from my saved videos.
I made many videos private after an evil retailer filed a copyright on some photos I used in my videos of fragrances they sell. Thanks. I had no idea all that goes on behind the scenes.
I was just about to ask this question today March 16, 2024
These videos are very helpful to learn more about the notes.
Glad you think so!
I’m keen on clover and artemisia as notes. Great video!
I absolutely adore clover, but I find it doesn't last too long on me. That said I bet I am missing some as I've only fallen in love with Trefle Pur by Atleier. Got any clover recommendations?

Mint: Saint Julep by Imaginary Authors

I've been wearing a decant of Eau De Minthe and it reminds me more of At the Barbers than Drakkar Noir.

I was only interested in PATCHOULI Essential Oil, and just to long episode.
It's "too". Then you don't have to watch. I cannot believe these types of comments.
Omg, watching this reminds me that you have sniffed so many fragrances. I just wonder what is the worst of the worst fragrance you ever smell?😁
A lot of modern designers I can tell you for sure! Sadly!
59.05 minutes?
Are you having a tough time seeing the numbers?
