      @NCMonefaith 7 лет назад +6

      Izzy Gee but they clearly established in the prison that the mask kept him from feeling pain...they didn't say how or why they just said the mask does that. that's less realistic than any of the other attempts they just said suspend beliefs and common sense.

    • @BiggEJohnson23
      @BiggEJohnson23 7 лет назад +5

      so use a jacked up luchador on drugs rather than an organized crime boss or a genius who builds traps to test his own intelligence against the hero's. Oh wait... the luchador isn't on the drugs that make him stupid strong and unbelievably durable and practically impervious to pain and instead give him a mask that makes his pain go away... yeah, realistic is the word I'd use. This movie should have been so much better with a different villain, the way the first 2 were.

    • @zinori8863
      @zinori8863 7 лет назад +16

      BiggEJohnson23 the whole charm of bane in the comics is that without his venom he is as intelligent as batman, the venom he injects straight into his body doesn't make him stupid it just enrages him, much like real world roid rage, having him as some shitty terrorist completely goes against his character considering what happened to his home

In Superman II, for example: the swelling Superman score, "Looking for me, General?", and then the iconic *"Son of Jor-El! **_Kneel_** before Zod!"* just so perfectly captures the half-epic, half-cheesy awesomeness of the character in a way Nolan's Batman never could.

    One thing I noticed and LOVED was during the scene where Bane reads Gordon's resignation letter on love TV, at one point his brow furrows and he stops reading for a moment as he very slightly shakes his head in disappointment. Those two tiny gestures define Bane so much. He truly believes that he MUST do what he is doing because everyone else has failed Gotham, including those who said they were there to defend it. He's truly disappointed and disgusted with Gordon's lie, believing it to be a greater sin than anything Bane himself could ever do.

      well you could not do clayface realistically, the only way you could do it is by making him an expert in makeup design and give him enough time to create different prosthetic masks to make himself look like a different person but you could not have realistic way for a man to actually shape his body into different forms or have different facial features. However that kind of person would pose no physcial threat to Batman would be stopped easily and would not have time to put on different masks in time to get away. It would be a boring character.

      When bane is first revealed he claims that no one cared who he was before he out on the mask. The film is not clear on how long he has been a mercenary, but it is fair to assume that he was one for some time before donning the mask. During this time he failed to achieve any recongition, much like in his pre-mercenary life, and he came to realize he needed a symbol, or a brand if you will, if anyone was to take him seriously. This is a metaphor for how capitalism and our society as a whole focuses too much on brand recognition, to the point of forgoing actual function and form.
      After this realization CIA asks if he(Bane) would die if it(the mask) was pulled off. This is a multifaceted question, asking both if the character Bane has build up around his mask would die and if Bane himself is so connected to the idea of himself as a mercenary that he could no longer live life as a real human bean. This draws inspiration from psychological studies regarding the perception of the quality of items based on their supposed brand. Your brain will trick you that items that are in fact identical but with different brands or descriptions, or just items that are differently priced, are is some way different from each other. The value that society places on brands are so high that without them some products would simply cease to be.
      Bane responds to this that "it would be extremely painful". He affirms that his dependancy on the idea of himself is so great that dispelling the illusion would hurt him, but not kill him.
      CIA affirms that Bane is a Big Guy and while removing the mask might hurt Bane, he can live on without the charade. This is a message directed at the audience. We should not live our lives based on the perception of others, but on what makes each of us happy. Nolan wrote this scene as a metaphor for escaping the illusion that society forces upon us from birth. He wants us all to grow as human beings, grow beyond phony charades and small guys who base our value as humans on the "masks" we wear, rather who we really are on the inside.
      Bane's response confirms that the scene was made For you.

      Aaron Alejos that would be absolutely sick! Especially if the X-Men series start to turn a little more like the Batman series and go quite dark. Then yes, Tom Hardy would be fucking perfect as Wolverine especially because we don't see that many grewsome killings more things like that x-Men was my absolute favourite cartoon growing up and my older age Tom Hardy has been my favourite actor ever since I first saw him in Bronson and soon after I saw an interview with him when I was in Amsterdam of all states and it was an interview with Tom and Jonathan Ross. Tom was hardly wasn't even known by that stage but I remember being very very stoned and mushroomed up and saying to my brother, this guy has the potential to be the best actor in the world! I swear, that wasn't on a statement. Yeah sure a lot of people will agree that he's not, but I will stick with my mushroom induced opinion on Mr Tom Hardy! So yes, I only hope Hardy would play the role of Wolverine if the movie franchise choose to take it to a deeper and darker realm.... I hope you agree and more importantly you know what I mean?

    After TDK I didn't think any villain could match Ledger's Joker. Hardy did it with Bane.

    Bane in this movie felt like more like deathstroke’s character. 10 steps ahead of you, cold, calculated and skilled in combat.

    I thought he played the best and perfect bane. The 2 biggest enemies of Batman were chosen perfectly (heath ledger’s joker also) in the Christian bale Batman movies

    "Super villian to his own body" why do people repeat this as something relevant? I mean if anyone pays you 2.5 million for putting on 30 pounds of muscle, I would put on 40 pounds... wtf....
