Bale denied Batman vs Superman because he believed in the preachings of Harvey dent. He knew that he could either leave the role as a hero or live long enough to see himself getting the hate.
The main nuance that made his Batman awesome is that his Batman, out of all versions, was actually smart and had various skills in deduction and psychoanalysis. And he was never driven by rage or vengeance, unlike Keaton's or Affleck's. The first movie even makes a point of how vengeance is no help to him. And he was vulnerable, too. That always gets a point from me, as someone whose favorite superheroes are usually regular folks who would still be normal people with the same problems even if they never became superheroes. I like that his Batman isn't overpowered Gary Stue. I like that even dogs can get a bite of him. If a guy could actually fight crime alone, he'd would slip few punches.
That movie blew me away. It was as good a realistic Batman as was possible to make, in my judgment, and the Liam Neeson Ras al Ghul/Ducard mashup was brilliant. It fooled me. It was also my kids' first exposure to Batman. My daughter especially, about 4 years old at the time, loved it! (But then, for her 19th birthday, she went on a tandem sky-dive, so she would, wouldn't she?)

Bruce was portrayed as beaten down where his body couldn’t hold up to the stress anymore. Bane even said in their first fight “You fight like a younger man, nothing held back.” Referencing his age. In every way, almost all of the characters appearance, backstory, actitud, ideas, personality, abilities is changed and so its the set up, relationships between them, etc. Im not saying thay they are bad movies (Althoug "begins" literally put me to sleep) but they are terrible adaptations. What is the point to adapt something if you are going to change everything that made said thing worthy of and adaptation in first place?

I'm not sure where he wanted to get with that. Whether he was just being polite towards Nolan and Bale or if he really wanted Bale as Batman but couldn't make it happen.
What made in my opinion Bale and Dark Knight, the best Batman films because prior to that all of the films where like the TV show goofy and fun. There was not enough Darkness like DC Comics
Well...first, I think Batman '89 was fairly dark and serious. It started to get goofy when Warner Bros gave Burton full control for Batman Returns (notice the crazier costumes and everyone has pale white faces). Then Joel Schumacher turned Batman into a circus act with Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. The '89 one was the only good one...BUT...I think it was much more than just good and can certainly stand up to the Nolan films.

It is Christian Bale's intensity and passion for what he does and making sure that every character he portrays is special, captivating, unforgettable and timeless. Bale's version of Batman is the closest match with who Batman is and how he thinks! Batman's hate for criminals stems from his parent's murder! Not out of heroic motives! It is his way of easing his pain and guilt coz he blames himself for not able to do anything to help his parents. Hence the angst, hate for criminals, loneliness and the need to make up for his failures. The best way he knows how is to use his wealth to create advance tech, weapons and equipments which will give the best chance of success when fighting crimes. So Dark.
Christian is really smart when it comes to his acting career. He knows when to take necessary risks and when he need to back off from certain roles and/or recommendations. He might be a little crazy but, the movie business does that to some people. Good job Christian!

Joe McGregor I agree TDKR was shit. It may not be CGI heavy like the MCU, DCEU or the X-Men franchise. But the fact that both Bane and Batman are somehow Superhuman in this film really pissed me off. Nolan is a great director, Memento, Dark Knight and Inception are exceptional films. However he definitely dropped the ball with the last of his trilogy. Watching the Dark Knight again, I found that I had no issues with his voice at any time. And in Batman Begins it's rather perfect, especially in the hanging interrogation scene

It’s obvious that this batman is awesome cuz of how heroic he is, completely selfless unhinged hero caring more about his legacy and his city than his own life. His ethics made it so interesting and gripping constantly wondering if he’d break his code or not. This is the most true hero we’ve had in screen cuz he was completely batman in every way although he was a bit weaker thins the comics version he still was completely batman.

Joffrey in Batman Begins, who gets a telescope thing and who is later rescued, is decked out in a red shirt. Jim's son in Dark Knight, is held at gunpoint by Two-Face (Dent was fond of calling Robin ''the boy hostage'') and yeah Levitt in Dark Knight Rises in a more Night-Wing grown-up version, but still playing to the role that the character fills in the mythology. No, the Micheal Keaton-like voice was just for the audition. The voice you hear in Batman Begins is all Christian, while in the other two it's Christian with a it of audio manipulation.
Watching the Dark Knight again, I found that I had no issues with his voice at any time. And in Batman Begins it's rather perfect, especially in the hanging interrogation scene

It's the only trilogy I can think of that starts off strong and only gets better. Hands down the greatest trilogy ever and the only one that I can think of where it's best moments are at the end.

Unlike affleck for those who don't know, Affleck didn't even wore or played Batman. A guy by the name of Richard Cetrone did. Affleck only played Bruce Wayne

Nolan is responsible for the great decision to omit Robin from the Dark Knight movies. That said, Joseph Gordon Leavitt’s indirect take on the Robin is more true to the sidekick than O’Donnell or Burt Ward’s live action take on the character ever was

It’s obvious that this batman is awesome cuz of how heroic he is, completely selfless unhinged hero caring more about his legacy and his city than his own life. His ethics made it so interesting and gripping constantly wondering if he’d break his code or not. This is the most true hero we’ve had in screen cuz he was completely batman in every way although he was a bit weaker thins the comics version he still was completely batman.

I will keep saying it till I hear it echoed, but archetypically speaking, there was a Robin in every single Nolan Batman film. Joffrey in Batman Begins, who gets a telescope thing and who is later rescued, is decked out in a red shirt. Jim's son in Dark Knight, is held at gunpoint by Two-Face (Dent was fond of calling Robin ''the boy hostage'') and yeah Levitt in Dark Knight Rises in a more Night-Wing grown-up version, but still playing to the role that the character fills in the mythology.
