      @sarahtomlinson9863 I was the same when I got my first air fryer it was like I was scared of it 🤣 Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about the probe. I've had no luck with it as mine doesn't seem to work properly. I stick with my separate thermometers. But I didn't really buy mine for that function. I just didn't like the round dial on the standard one. I can't remember the last time I used my oven it's now just a dust collector 🤣x

I've never had a meat thermometer anyway I just always cut into it and check that way, I probably won't bother with it, but yeah I'm definitely scared of it, I did well to unbox all on my own 😂. Since I got it ive done, jacket potatoes, made chips, sausages things like that and so far so good. Xx

    This looks to be a great way to make an apple crumble in short order, but I was wondering if the loose crumble would be blown all over the place by the air from the fan? I have just got an air fryer myself, and it's not yet clear to me what you can and can't do with it (though I'm very impressed with the ease of use and speed of cooking compared to an oven so far).

    • @LindzandLife
      @LindzandLife  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Stephen 👋 There was a very small amount of dust under the crisper tray. Make sure and pat your topping down slightly, and also, the fan on bake setting on the ninja isn't as intense as the other settings. Hope that helps x

      Morning Bruffy, I did try freezing one, but it wasn't nice when reheated. What I have been doing for years is half stewing my apples, then freezing can be used for anything then. I'm going to try hot canning my apple sauce this year and hope that it works x

    I did a one off to eat later.... Square Pyrex in ninja..... I did apple on hob first though with brown sugar butter and water then did topping in ninja on bake.... It first flew stuff about it even shifted the contents! So I really pressed it down and that worked I turned it up to 170 overall 30 mins but I'm heating it up later yummy.... It really is trial and error with air fryer.... Its a tricky customer....least I've made an attempt.... Usually I do in oven for 40 mins! Update I let it cool it's super sticky and I couldn't resist trying some its yummy best ever I did add lots of muscavada brown sugar in apples and demorerra on top of that as apples from garden! I think I've cracked it so now I can make more..... I may do the freezing thing not sure 🤔

      @@LindzandLife it was the oats that blew about lol so I pressed hard and all ok I even did less flour to butter as I like it like that ..have to say it was yummy ... trial and error! I did all my apples this morning all now in containers freezing... only enough for three crumbles how they diminish! Just as well as I only have so much space for apples ! I did add loads of muscavada sugar and butter to the process so they were nice and coated even my ex wants me to make him one I think he misses my crumbles and even some of my cooking lol 😂
