From my memory, they didn't start doing their current costumes until Nobu joined in 2004. Before that, they had a few costumes here and there throughout the years. Don't discount pre-Nobu Ningen Isu either, it's just as good, and sometimes even better.
Edit: Maybe do Namahage or Shinagawa Shinju next?

Had a pretty good felling, based on your first reaction, that you would love this one. Yes, it was actually 8 minutes. 🤣. Just tells you it was a great song when you lose track of time. 🤘🤘. This is the song I'm most familiar with, and is the one usually recommended as a first look at them. Only heard a few of theirs myself, but can't remember which ones by name, probably ones with only a Japanese title listed anyway, lol.
I like Nigen isu and I like H.P. Lovecraft so for the next I suggest the colours out of space or the live version of At the mountain of madness with Kenichi on lead singing
