      Thanks Daz, appreciate it. It wasn’t a planned video but things always come up that’s prevents you doing the sexy mods. I was winging it to be fair but with some RUclips videos and looking up online, it was worth a bash.

      Thanks for watching, glad it helped out. Garages telling me I need new injectors at around £900, I thought screw that, it’s not an injector problem. I don’t how many others would be in the same boat so thought it would be worth posting a video.

      That’s great news. At least you caught it before it gets really bad. It’s a bit of a fiddly job but not too expensive. Some people are getting quoted tor new injectors for silly money.

      @@TypeRTweaks to only noticed it on the oil change because the blew the rubber cover apart like yours did, theres so much crud under there it seems iv been neglecting it for a wee while now, I'm just glad to know it's just abit of labour and some copper washers because like you say injectors are silly money!

    Can you explain why my mondeo keeps breaking clamps ? only started doing this after seals replacement

    • @TypeRTweaks
      @TypeRTweaks  25 дней назад

      It’s a common problem mate. I eventually replaced all the clamps. As they are stretch bolts, you should replace them when after removing them. I also over tighten the bolts which put strain on the clamps. I torqued the new ones to spec and they have been fine ever since.

    Wassup bro thank you so much for the shoat out really grateful. Just one thing, the reason you was having issue with the bolts is they are actually one use stretch bolts. As you know i work for Ford and im happy to supply you and post you out genuine ford parts on my staff discount. If you would like me to do so just message me on facebook messanger. Great video as always buddy. Keep up the good work

    Hi mate. I'm about to try and replace my seal on my own ford mondeo 2.0 titanium diesel and was wondering was it easy enough? I don't have lots of experience but am willing to try as its much cheaper

    Great video mate - bang on - just a quick question how would you clean all the oil leaked inside where the injectors were ? Mine has just had the same problem melted the casing just like yours but there’s so much black oil all ove the leads , connections inside under the casing? Or would that not affect the car once new injectors have been fitted ?

  • @braderzzable
    @braderzzable Год назад +2

    How did you get the injector out

    • @TypeRTweaks
      @TypeRTweaks  Год назад +2

      Removed the injector bracket and got a small spanner into the flat section of the injector and gave a wiggle as well as a pull and they all came out pretty easily.

  • @RAW555R

    Do you have to de pressurise the fuel system in any way before undoing?

    • @TypeRTweaks
      @TypeRTweaks  7 месяцев назад +1

      No, you just have to soak up any fuel that comes out when removing the fuel rail but it’s minimal. It’s worth leaving the car for a good 8 hours after being turned on to make sure any pressure is minimal also. Other than that, nothing special to consider.

    Hi mate,what is the exact name of this injector leak off pipe the one with green clips you show? Where did you get one? Thanks

    • @TypeRTweaks
      @TypeRTweaks  2 года назад

      Hi mate, is it the fuel line connector pipe or the fuel line retainer clip? Don’t tend to get the clips in much places, I came across this site that still sells them.
      www.akr-performance.com/p/honda-fuel-line-retaining-clip-green-tokai-17711-s0x-a31
      The OEM fuel rail has a built in fuel line connector pipe, any aftermarket version should come with its own but I’ve found that the Hybrid Racing as longer and a better fit (not requiring any adjustment of the fuel line).

      @@TypeRTweaks its the leak off pipe, mine is 2.0 mk4 diesel 2012.I saw one on ebay but they are not as straight as the one you have put in. It says its compatible with my model but not sure plus they don't have these green clips locking it in

    • @TypeRTweaks
      @TypeRTweaks  2 года назад

      Sorry, was thinking you meant another video I did for a fuel rail. I got the leak off pipe from eBay. Took a bit of searching, there are loads for various engine sizes and years but little for the 2011 2.0 tdi.

    • @TypeRTweaks

      I ended up also replacing the bolts that hold the injector holder brackets in place as these are stretch bolts.

      A flat head screw driver to chip away some stubborn parts but just an engine de-greaser and a small wire brush. Make sure you cover the injector port when cleaning to prevent anything going down the port.
