You were definitely correct in picking up a Latin flavor to the music. It's beautifully reinforced by the choice of wardrobe and set which both have Spanish/Mexican influence. The set especially is stunning and one of my favorites BTS has had. The arches, the wrought iron detailing on the windows, the coloring of the walls, the titles on the floor, the roofs of the buildings are all features in Spanish Colonial architecture. The set designers knocked it out of the park on this one.
Finally you're watching Airplane pt. 2!! I waited so long for this. I knew you'd like it. It's so AESTHETIC. also everytime someone mentions airplane pt.2 I immediately think of V. This is SO HIS VIBE. I'm living for it.

I love rewatching these MV's through your eyes. I usually concentrate on their choreography which I love. So it's amazing to see it through all the videography and lighting and camera movement "lense". "It looks so beautiful!" Oh, and it is a Latino vibe song and dance. So Spanish Was a good guess. This makes me appreciate the quality in directing and creativity and cinematography and editing and set design and production value!!! It's beautiful art. "It's literally like a painting." Why have none of BTS's videos every been nominated for Best Video for any award show!!! They really are better than the videos that I see winning!!!!

This is the Japanese version of airplane pt.2, the Korean version aka the original ver has no mv. Side note: Airplane pt.2 was inspired by jhope's "Airplane" of his mixtape.
There’s another MV called Airplane. It’s „part 1“ and it’s a solo from Jhope. It is gorgeous. There was this one frame you talked about in that introduction video. It was where jhope sits in front of that slim window and the outside is orange. The MV has some super great moments.
I am totally biased by this song and MV, because i am from Mexico, and they say Mexico City, mariachi, and obviously the look of the video is like so mexican and Spanish, like the cantinas are so traditional on my country, i think this is a masterclass of how to appreciate a culture and not appropriate or make fun of it,i love BTS
I love how most of the video is in one room, but the way they change it around makes it look like more. You have the bar, and the bottle shelves on the wall light up red for the part where J-Hope is dancing on the bar. You have the side of the room with the windows, and you have the back of the room with the stained glass door where V enters at the beginning. Just switching between the side view and the back view when they are dancing together, with the changes in lighting makes it look very cool. Also, the play with the microphone at the beginning, especially between RM and Jin is really cool. They did that in one of their live performances as well.
How did I not know this video existed? I love this song and I’ve watched their stage performances of it but had no idea there was an actual music video for it. I guess I’m still just a Private in ARMY. So glad Alex reviewed it - I loved both the video and the review!

I’m gonna throw a hat in the ring for Taemin. Taemin-want. Very intricate, beautiful, high budget. Taemin- flame of love. A video much older. Simple set design. Absolutely beautiful. Both have smoke, lighting, atmosphere just visually stunning.
Everything Taemin does is a masterpiece and very distinctly “Taemin”. I didn’t want to overwhelm Alex so I narrowed it to 2 very different budget but stunning videos 😊
That was an interesting reaction to the Airplane Pt 2 mv especially regarding the lighting. I think the last set was the same as the one in the Idol mv.
