I got this and the SEN-01-4280 together for LS swap with 4l60e. I installed it into the NP 241C transfer case and got it all wired up. It would work most of the time and seemed to shift well. There were times it transmission would lose the gear and the engine would rev up. This occurred typically under acceleration and was random. Never came up with a solution and tranny just burned up. So hoping the transmission was already going bad and not these components.
Hey there Juan, Sorry to hear about the troubles. You could sure reach out to our Technical Support department, they will be glad to assist with installation and operation verification. techsupport@dakotadigital.com or 605-332-6513
Can we get a quick video on the fuel range setup? I’ve had my HDX gauges in my 72 Monte Carlo for a while and for some reason I can’t figure it out at all. The speedo and the fuel it set up correctly. Just can’t get that to work after trying multiple times.
I installed one of these on my car today, the tach seems really slow to respond. Is this a common issue with these? Or normal characteristic? It takes like 5 seconds after the engine starts for the tach signal to show up, and it is noticeably laggy from actual engine RPM. This is on a Toyota 4 cylinder running a Link FuryX ECU. It isn't laggy when the tachometer is modified to receive a low voltage signal and the link ECU is wired directly to it.
Good morning, I would suggest contacting our Technical Support department to assist with this setup and calibration. You can call at 800-852-3228 or email techsupport@dakotadigital.com .
If you have Dakota Digital instrumentation, the simpler solution is using our part number BIM-01-2-HLLY, as this is a direct link between the Sniper and instrument system.
