These mittens look great and easy to make. Thank you for the detail information on how to make them. These are the 2nd pair of mittens I've made. Took 1st in a local fair a few years ago on my first pair. I'll post how the hat and scarf looks with the mittens on Facebook.

I love these! I made some to gift for Christmas; I made a slit on the side of the palm and the inside of the thumb so they flipped up the top to let the fingers free. It was easy, right above the thumb made a chain instead of continuing SC, attached it to other side and continued as it was with SC all around.
Oh, and one can add a loop to where the top of the middle finger point and a button just like you have and secure the finger top as needed.
Crystal have you ever tried the convertible mittens? Mittens are great to have but hard to do things in, it would be greatly appreciated if u can come up with something like that! Thanks a million!!

And you have some of the best crochet videos . It would be so good if you could make crochet book with all your wonderful patterns .

@@BAGODAYCROCHET hi!! i used weight 6 velvet yarn, and i realized it was a bit too fluffy so they ended up being too long!! but i tried it again with weight 6 yarn that wasn’t velvet and it worked much better!! sorry if my comment came off as rude :):)
Getting so frustrated with this pattern. I am a newbie. After I chain the 20 and then go around the chain with the first single crochet roll I have a lot of space left before I get to end the circle. Seems like I would have to add 5 to 8 more single crochet. I have done the pattern over and over but can't seem to quite get it.
You are accidentally adding two single crochets in one stitch in some spots... I'm sorry you're frustrated, but please don't give up... You'll get it!! 😊
