I'm constantly blown away at how great the marching percussion talent has skyrocketed over the last 20 years. There's a lot bad with the Internet, but this is one thing that it has helped in a big way.
How are these kids trained? Do they have some sort of programs that start in middle school to high school drumline? I came from a high school that had drumline but kids that were in drumline sometimes had no experience at all prior to joining it. I'm wondering, if these kids, including other high schools like Ayala, Dartmouth, etc... have fetus programs that build these kids to monster drummers.
Most students in CHHS drumline start out in Jr. High. Some of the coaches teach the jr high. In the summer we have band camps. We have feeder programs that are jr. highs getting ready for highschool drumline.

They destroyed 7 schools in prelims...and there are 7 dislikes at the moment...
Their music is harder than many independent world-class groups! And they are so clean!
Always loved Chino Hills and their very consistent lines, but does anyone else feel like this sounds/feels like every other chino hills show?
DoingTheMostMalone that's boxsix for ya..
DoingTheMostMalone I feel like the pit played the exact part at 4:18 for their 2017 show
Yeah they did play that same part, it's at 4:29 in their 2017 "in the lot" video
Mike L does sound very familiar
These guys have been at this for a decade now. Things are bound to sound similar.
