man i love XRS but hey man. An advice since i didn't see you use it, silicon filling around the engine block seal before bolting it back on. Sometimes it does manage to spill oil out. Happened to my 1.6 AE120 3zzFE too.
Thanks for the advise! I know about the block seal since I did it when I serviced the valve cover on my blue Corolla, I just forgot about it when I serviced this one. I’ll keep an eye on it to make sure it’s not leaking but if it is, I’ll go back and get that done
It’s the air injection running normally, but only cold start. If it makes that sound all the time then it’s probably a vacuum leak somewhere, likely the intake manifold gasket!
@@WillChang I feel like it comes and goes, definitely upon first start but as it warms up it quiets down then resumes at random moments, I’ll definitely check out the manifold, thanks!
Thanks for the well-done videos on this car. I'm scoping one out for purchase soon. Do you mind sharing what the sale price for yours was? Trying to get an idea what a realistic price is...found a few FS but they're so rare pricing is tough. Many thanks Will.
Nice! Mine was $6k, 160k miles. Clean title and everything just 2 minor accidents. Seen some pretty beat up cars still sell for $4k or more even if they're not worth that much, but patience really pays off when looking to get one of these!
@@WillChang Great, thanks. Picked up a maroon one actually last Saturday and I'm starting to sort it out. I do many builds on my channel for fun so i'll send out a few XRS videos before long. Thanks again for great info on these rare cars.
I bought them from R9KTuned.com, although you can get these from monkeywrenchracing.com or from your local dealer. I'd recommend buying from your dealership since you won't have to pay for shipping and they're the same price as any other site online!
I think it would be more likely that lift wouldn't work at all if your bolts were broken. With that being said, it's definitely a good place to start looking for the issue as the lift bolts are easily accessible. If your bolts are fine, the next item I'd check is the lift solenoid if you didn't check it when swapping the OCV filters. Let me know how it goes!
@@WillChang alright bro..when you say Lift solenoid is it the same place as the OCV filters? And how do I check that out..because one day the lift is hitting like a donkey and the same day in the evening it became jerky and weak
Absolutely loving tf out of your channel! Keep making videos!!!
Thanks for the support! I don’t plan to stop anytime soon!
Please post some pov driving shots of this beauty 😍😍
For sure!
Hiw many lift bolts do it need? I heard they make titanium ones also?
You gotta take the xrs up to the Colorado mountains. Passing cars should be way faster this time!
Absolutely! I might bring it to the mountains this weekend!
