- Ok my friends... you asked so here we go. Today we're talking foundation for mature skin over 50. Here are my thoughts on Estee Lauder's New Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation. For reference, I wear Fresco in both Double Wear and Futurist Hydra Rescue 😊

I found this recently and I tried both the Double Wear and this. Have not combined them yet but I will try that method. I love the way this looks for every day. It’s very natural looking and it’s not settling in anywhere. It also covered my roseaca ! Thanks for sharing this.

I've been an IT girl for a while and before that I used Bare Minerals powder. I have rosacea (it's gotten worse with menopause) IT foundation does a good job of coverage. I'm tempted to try EL Futurist and see how it goes. Some times change can be good! You need to do a vid on you eye makeup next! Love the lip color also! Great job!!

Yes, I know you said your channel is not a makeup Channel and I can see that, as it looks extremely interesting on a number of topics in the kitchen and creativity in general. But you do have noteworthy skills regarding makeup and I am trying to learn all I can. Really appreciated that you showed how you applied the rest of the makeup after Foundation, instead of disappearing off camera and returning and then nobody can see each of the remaining steps after Foundation particularly your eyes & that different things you use to achieve your look.. That was interesting. When I was younger and wore makeup everyday I only used Estee Lauder products, I always loved their products, now I rarely wear makeup but when I do I only use the products that my dermatologist sells in her office. She sells everything that she feels is good for your skin and she is very anti fragrance for your skin.

I can't wait to get my hands on this one! I've been waiting to try and use up my DW up first! But I think I'm going to go ahead and get this and keep the remainder of the DW! That wait I can use your trick with it when I have those days I need some extra help! Which are coming too close for comfort for me now! Lol! I have some broken capillaries on my chin also! See my derm in a month and he is going to hit them up with a laser! Said it is supposed to make them disappear! I hope so! We'll see! Between those and fine lines and rosacea! I use double wear too, I bought two pumps for the bottles, I love double wear, I have wanted to try this, I have dry to normal skin since starting to get older.
@Lynda Hollins if you mix equal parts DW with Futurist Hydra it’s “magic”. Best of both worlds. I’m working on a video to share other ways of using DW on mature skin 😊

I like Hourglass Vanishing concealer or Tarte radiant shape tape. I don’t have a video although I’ve had people ask … I’m considering it 😊

Hello, I’m looking to purchase this foundation as I have the double wear version. Can you please let me know if the shade in this foundation is similar to the double wear? I have 1w1 in double wear but they only have 1w2 so I guess that’s what I can get because the other 2 shades are all neutral and it get very pink on me.

I wear Fresco in this foundation. It is considered a light level 2 with a cool undertone 😊

Yes! I love it! I’m now mixing with a little bit of Double Wear to get a little extra longevity. But I think this foundation is wonderful. Hope you love it also . 😊

Jeanette Chapman thank you 😊... in this video I was wearing Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara. I also use GrandeLash MD lash serum. It takes a bit to work but it makes a big difference in my lashes. I also like IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara and Hourglass Extreme Caution. All three perform similarly and I always apply about three coats... hope that helps 😍

do you ever use the powder double wear as foundation or just to set you makeup? I was thinking about trying it for foundation this summer.
Nicole Dean hi! I’ve used the doublewear powder as foundation. It’s nice if you enjoy a powder foundation. I like more coverage so I use DW liquid and or the Futurist then the DW powder to set. The powder foundation can be tricky to use if you have dry skin. Always let any skincare fully dry before applying just the powder so you get even coverage. Hope this helps 😊
