    Would you mind writing down what the main burst rotation as devoker is? As well as the sustained/filler damage when you don’t have your big go up? That would be great! A little hard to follow just your words in this, I am more of a visual learner haha

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey not a problem!
      Burst Rotation:
      Oppressing Roar > Deep Breath > Dragonrage > Shattering Star > Eternity Surge > Tip the Scales > Fire Breath - then just Spam out disintegrates, if you get an instant cast Living Flame use it as it'll generate a full 2 stacks of essence burst; mainly just keep disintegrating as much as you can.
      Outside of Burst Rotation:
      Shattering Star > Eternity Surge > 1 Power Level Fire Breath/2-3 Charge Power Level Fire Breath if you're playing Scouring Flame PvP Talent - Spam disintegrates; use Azure Strike to generate Essence Bursts OR your instant cast Living Flames from your Fire Breath dot.
      It is important to prioritize using instant cast living flames > azure strikes when you have them as they deal a significant amount of damage comparatively.
      Basically you do NOT want to use Shattering Star unless you can follow it up with an Eternity Surge, as it's a massive boost to your damage, and as long as you're spamming your disintegrates out; you'll have Shattering Star, Eternity Surge, and Fire Breath off cooldown around the same time relatively.

    Thanks for this comprehensive guide bro!! so much value! Quick question, maybe you mentioned it somehwere, but dont you need to disintegrate fully for full damage?

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  9 месяцев назад +3

      Hey! I really appreciate you watching - basically spamming disintegrate does higher burst values of damage because the way the timing works out for disintegrate is it does it's first point of damage the millisecond you begin channeling it, so if you're spamming it, you'll do 2 ticks of a disintegrate every time it's casted meaning you can do anywhere from 160-400k damage in .1 second because if your disintegrates are ticking for 80k and both instances of damage happen at the same time, you'll hit for 160k etc etc.
      Overall if you let the disintegrate cast channel down, you'll do more overall damage (this is better for dealing damage outside of your burst unless you're going for a kill within a stun type of deal) BUT if you're trying to do damage in a quick/bursted instance, spamming disintegrate can deal much higher damage within 4 seconds then just channeling 2 disintegrates fully.
      I.E. If someone is in a stun for 4 seconds, you can channel 2 full disintegrates worth of damage into them if you're letting them fully channel out - this would total around 380-700k damage if you're critting nearly every tick; but if you're spamming disintegrate with essence bursts, you can spam out up to 5 disintegrates in a 4 second time period, meaning you'll do 2 ticks of disintegrate per each disintegrate the second tick hitting twice because a new disintegrate is activated - dealing around 400-1m damage if you crit. Ik this is a lot of information - if you watch Twitch, come hang out in a stream someday and I can further explain it to you on a dummy haha. :) www.twitch.tv/grimlockmmo

    Love the video! quick question does leech enchants on cloak and bracer stack with our leech talent?

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  8 месяцев назад +2

      They do! I normally only put leech on my cloak but I've been putting speed on cloak as of recently because you only get 1% leech from the cloak enchant. It's hard to say if 1% leech is worth it, it's basically a consistent 1-1.5k heals per second because we normally do 100-150k dps pretty consistently. Hard to say if 1k hps is worth it > 3-4% speed increase. haha

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yea it's a lotttt of kiting and selecting the right PvP talents to deal with specific classes, playing unburdened flight into DKs and Warriors feels like you're cheating, if you trade Hover efficiently with their mobility they'll almost never be able to touch you outside of Stuns/CC which is really nice.
      Also utilizing pillars vs casters is really good, you can sit on a pillar, pop out and disintegrate anyone who gets close and as long as you have Hover active you can go back behind line of sight while the disintegrate is still active and channeling on the person. Allowing you to effectively deal damage from behind LoS!
      Just keep practicing kiting, and LoS vs casters and you'll end up living a lot longer. Also utilizing rescue to LoS/kite is also very good. Either way - keep practicing! :)

    • @Grimlocked

      It is pretty much never ever worth it; I have never pressed it in PvP outside of RBGs it might be worth it but in arenas it is absolutely better to just press disintegrate in every situation.

    I missed it somewhere , how are you getting out of stuns, rootsz freezes etc?

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  8 месяцев назад +1

      Not sure exactly what you mean by this, there's no set way to get OUT of stuns/roots/freeze outside of deep breath allowing you to break out of roots; Nullifying Shroud does PREVENT the first 3 crowd controls landed on you, and Time Stop can also prevent crowd control from landing on someone if you pre-emptively.
      Outside of that, it's purely from using the PvP Medallion Trinket, which allows you to break out of any singular CC every 2 minutes; so you have to know when it's worth it to break yourself out of CC.

    Why vers mast and not vers crit? Isn’t our mastery nerfed in pvp? And with our increased crit damage I would think it would be good to crit more often. Just looking to hear your thoughts cause I have been running vers crit haste and it feels incredible but I’m only like 1600 so looking for a higher xp input.

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! Great question! Partially it's do to preference. I personally enjoy Vers Mastery more because it revolves around swapping targets more consistently to have our mastery give us the most value possible. Also with the way Dragonrage works - it revolves entirely around our mastery stat. So in order to benefit from our burst button - we need a decent amount of mastery.
      While we do benefit from having higher crit damage, critting in PvP is significantly nerfed even with our buff; so crit is normally pretty rare of a stat to run in PvP. Haste is good in general, normally having around 16-20% haste is crazy strong for devoker; our Deep Breath and Fire Breath scale damage with Haste for some reason so that alone is a great reason to stack it.
      I highly suggest playing around Vers > Mastery > Haste/Crit; Mastery is just an overall damage increase and is more consistent then running crit, which is heavily RNG based.

    As much as i appreciate that you take the time to make a guide, I feel like this guide fails utterly, as it don´t address the biggest problems that Evokers have.
    They die so easy, since they have almost no defensive abilities. All other classes have either some kind of stun or immune to dmg for some time. Evokers have none of those things.
    Sure, we have Landslide and Deep Breath, but since you first have to push the button and point the way to stun or fly, most times, the opponent have moved.
    If you fave a lock, he can fear or stun you before you get into range, with your tiny range on your spells.
    Most melee classes, have abilities to be immune to dmg or can stun for you some seconds. A hunter have their shield and self healing.
    Whenever i play shuffle on one of my healers, if there's an Evoker, we always focus the Evoker, and it almost always die quest fast.
    So, it would be nice with a guide that actually address the problem that evokers have. Doing dmg is easy, but surviving for more than a few seconds if you are charged by a DH or Arms Warr og Rogue is next to impossible with an Evoker.

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hey! I definitely 1000% agree with what you're saying. I'll make a guide SUPER soon on how to survive better as devoker. It's definitely a glass cannon but there is tips and tricks on how to live through goes with it. I'll break down what I can for it. It is super hard to live with for a bunch of people and I think it would be smart of me to make a guide specifically revolving around it's survivability. Thanks for your comment!

    • @Grimlocked
      @Grimlocked  8 месяцев назад +2

      I will say - I do slightly disagree about it being impossible to live with as an evoker, it just takes a bunch of practice even vs really really good players. It requires a bunch of pressing buttons pre-emptively which is the hardest part. There's nothing evoker can do while in a stun which is actually the same exact issue Demon Hunters have; every defensive has to be pressed prior to being attacked. - If you do want to learn a bit about survivability for them before I come out with a guide revolving around that specifically - feel free to watch one of my Zero to Legend videos where I'm playing shuffle from 0-2400+. Currently I have uploaded to 2200mmr (more to come very soon though - it's already recorded just need to edit it.)

      Mastery is definitely wayyy better then Haste for devoker. Your entire burst ability revolves around your mastery - Haste only increases the damage done by Deep Breath as far as I'm aware - it MAY increase the damage of disintegrate but not by more then Mastery.
      Haste doesn't increase raw damage for devoker like mastery does and our big damage comes from Eternity Surges and Fire Breaths which revolve from Mastery.
