Jayson Adonay i'm almost positive he's not singing in his modal voice for that though. i think he's either doing a throat rattle or a very loose lip trill. not that i don't love avi it's just that F#1 is a little unreasonable to expect from anyone
We all have a second set of larger vocal folds that are above our modal vocal folds. They usually never move unless you are clearing your throat, or if you take part in tuvan throat singing. I believe Avi is using these folds instead of the modal folds. (you use them both at the same time in throat singing)
Kenneth Williams I can do tuvan throat singing and it doesn't sound quite like that. He is actually singing that. He is probably swallowing the mic to get that much volume but tuvan throat singing has a distinct different tone that sounds cool, but not like your natural singing voice. He can sing to, I believe, an E1 so an F#1 is very plausible for him. Even live.
