They are boiling there syrup down open kettle, we used pressure cookers to save time, same quality. We got our corn syrup in big rail road tank cars. Brings back many fun memories . It would taste like any other type of candy, sweet with a hint of any flavor they added. They did add flavor to it and the component is the same as other candies so there is no reason for it to taste bad.
