    Adding a link to the chain is a much cheaper way to add stability than triple clamps. Sliding the forks up and down is not a generally effective way to get the forks to work properly..

    I have one and everything they said is exactly what i felt, suspension stock is horrendous, has decent low to mid but nothing on top, wont rev, and wont pull 3rd in corners. Not a bad first shot at a Motocross bike but you have to remember, all the other manufactures have had decades to develop their bikes. Give this a few years and it will be in the mix with the rest, Beta is top notch off-road company, they will figure it out.

      @@dirtrider2234 Sure, it's a big deal but why does the factory, with all their resources, always seem to miss the offset by 1mm this way or that? Then MXA claims that it's an issue of the wheelbase being changed by an amount smaller than you might from tensioning your chain. By that measure changing the rear sprocket by a tooth and moving the axle 4mm to accommodate it should totally F up the bike.
      Sorry but I have to throw the BS flag.

We know that aftermarket companies can dial your bike In. But %65 of people run stock bikes. It would be nice to go more into detail about the suspension/clamps etc so we know what stock bike best fits us. If you go back and watch older test ride videos from like 2010-2016 they go more into fine detail about the stock components on the bike vs just saying aftermarket is better.

      KTM is already pulling the GAS GAS Team from the World Championship for next year. I think Beta will survive, but maybe go back to Enduro and Trials bikes. Ducati and Triumph will sell some bikes, but they won't come close to the sales of the Japanese or KTM. They will continue to build bikes, as long as they are fine being a niche brands for years to come

    When will the „very professional „ MXA-Crew, which obviously gives advice to manufacturers, finally figure out that lowering the offset does extend trail, which again makes bikes more stable? No you wouldn’t think different if you knew watcha talking about…🙄

    • @rideengineeringinc.8959
      @rideengineeringinc.8959 2 месяца назад +1

      Obviously you have never tried this test yourself. Yes in theory increased trail should increase stability, but that is in a 2 Dimensional world (think pavement). In motocross with bumps, whoops, loose soil, hardpack, muc, up hills and down hills (all factors that reduce stability), moving the front wheel out does typically improve stability. In this case, i was also surprised the lower offset increased stability on the Beta 450rx. On the '24 CRF450r, KTM 450sxf, and YZ450f we increased offset to 23.5 from 22mm and all the test riders and professional racers agreed this was an improvement in both stability and handling. This is why testing is so important. Every bike is different and each reacts differently to chassis modifications. - Ride Eng.
