In response to other people with difficulties installing etc I had some issues with the OEM sound deadening being too thick for the provided hardware to reach, I had to use some lying around to suck the plates home and form them to the shape of the tunnel etc, which is a necessary part I feel like maybe should mention there is a bit of a sandwich going on Beyond that it was straight forward, helps if the drive shaft is out, the master bottom bolt is hard to reach Specifically for me I guess or 95 usdm s14 the OEM cable was rubbing the pass thru hole on the handbrake assembly so I had to wallow it out but worth the effort over having a giant hydro sticking out the dash
Good part the drilled out hole is a pain and will wreck the cable eventually I’ve cut the bracket a bit and smoothed off hopefully it last longer was trying to think of any sheathing to fix that issue maybe re use the one you remove somehow next time for others ? Tunnel bolts not long enough either seen others had problems here also but hey this is modified cars after all not always gonna be perfect
Here's a question for u My handbrake in my 4x4 stretches everytime I go off-road. If I were to install this ebrake can I rely on it to hold my 2.5t car on a very steep hill.
Will the ratchet mechanism still work to use as a park brake when required ? as looking do this to my daily street car so can have fun in mexico an be discreat with out obvious hydrolic set up....
Not sure how much of a difference between transmission tunnels in the chassis, but this this on USDM RHD hatch back is a PITA. Bolts are all too short, center console was different too. Better off just center mounting it and be prepared to buy longer bolts. Also, had to massage the bottom support bracket that was supplied. This part needs clearer instructions that are not sped up.
Hey dude, Sorry to hear you had issues fitting the part, I have honestly not heard of anyone to date having these type of issues. Are you able to send some photos through of the issues you are having to sales@gktech.com I will be able to take a better look and see where the issue lies and how we can help!
@@Chulme1234 As mentioned, hit us up, we would hate for the kit not to be a bolt in solution with everything you need, send us an email at sales@gktech.com.au so we can get you sorted!
We had to draw the line at some point, but will eventually do a full line install and show bleeding also. You are always welcome to get in touch and we can help with routing if need be, but we try to give a little extra length so that people can route it however their heart desires!
Best commentary of any install video. Thanks Officer Dan!
I love all your videos lol, this is how you get peoples interest
Thanks dude, much appreciated!
After cancelling the cable system for the ebrake would you say that we can trust the hydro e-brake for long time parking on a hill?
Just leave the car in gear to be extra safe
i love these videos, hope to see more since i have an s-chassis
Thanks dude, much appreciated!
Awesome video explaining the install 🔥
Just installed on LHD S14, thanks Officer Dan!

What a cool part.
Here's a question for u
My handbrake in my 4x4 stretches everytime I go off-road.
If I were to install this ebrake can I rely on it to hold my 2.5t car on a very steep hill.
Amazing - would love something similar so I can ditch the damn foot-operated parking brake on my Infiniti.
Is this hydraulic set up using stock ebrake lines
Or is this for a dual caliper set up ?
It's original design was for dual caliper but we have seen it installed on an in line setup.
Will the ratchet mechanism still work to use as a park brake when required ? as looking do this to my daily street car so can have fun in mexico an be discreat with out obvious hydrolic set up....
It will, yes. We just don't encourage using it for long periods of time as it's not good for the master cylinder.
OctoZach has a sweet oni tattoo js lol

I'm having this exact same issue. The bolts are nowhere near long enough... No way near as simple as the video makes out.
UK RHD S13/200sx
I ended up positioning this where it sat the best to my liking. Now the cable is rubbing a bit on the rear handle hole.
Works great, though.

Can you do this without removing the driveshaft?
Unfortunately, no.
Do I still need dual cailpers or no is my question ?
0:43 lol
can confirm
What about hooking the line under the Car?
We had to draw the line at some point, but will eventually do a full line install and show bleeding also.

Hello has this been confirmed to work on 370z yet?
Not that we have seen directly.
Would this fit a 14 fiesta st with a little bit of customizing?
Why would you even bother
Not to drift, just to be fast. Mainly to save understeer if needed. However, I have had more oversteer than understeer.
this is golden lol.
Do you guys make this for the Z33?
It's a universal product, I'm sure it can be made to fit.
I sneezed, can you please repeat steps 3-12?, 😅
