Bit strange to include Danielle when her character was axed among others and she didn't do anything to deserve it. Other people on this list have committed literal crimes!
She is a terrible actress!!! And no one watches the show anymore if they don't spice it up it will be canceled just like Brookside and Nebiours. Remember everything comes to an end and EastEnders is old and tired.
Sarah Jayne Dunn was is right, the show was happy to have her flaunted across lads mags in it's early days scantily clad but now she's choosing to do so and in control of how and what she puts out they're not happy.
Danielle Harrold is a very odd choice to include. Her character was axed, she wasn't fired or sacked. Bruce Jones from Corrie was sacked for revealing storylines to a taxi driver.
danielle harrold also returns to the show later on, just to then leave again recently, i can't quite remember when she returned exactly but i remember it was sometime last year or maybe even before that when she did
Sarah Jayne Dunn was done the most dirty, it was regular pics that she posted on there as she stated many times and i think the fans should've boycotted the show as a form of protest
The sacking of sarah jayne dunn was a joke because isnt what she done freedom of expression or ur choice like freedom of speech no freedom of nothing in this country any more
What did Danielle Harold do wrong? Sounds like the character just got axed. Should instead have gone with Ivy Tilsley being written out because Lynne Perrie had cosmetic surgery without permission.
Um… including Danielle doesn’t make sense. There’s a difference between getting axed and getting fired. Being axed from a show by a new Executive Producer is common. And is nothing like being fired.
It's odd to me so many are commenting this, axed and fired are interchangeable where I'm from (UK, East Midlands). Even if you look it up, most will say it means getting fired.
Look at poor Warren, who played Nick Tilsley, who was told his character was going to be 'written out for a while' and brought back with another actor, because we want to 'sex up the show and we don't think you're good looking enough for what we want to do with the character'. Now that's sad, and horrible, especially for teenager who si going through puberty and dealing things, after being in the show since birth, It was his whole life. It sent him down a deep spiral.
The show should have been called Hypocrioaks because of the different standards they set for their cast on and off screen. They have storylines about how addictive drug and alcohol abuse can be -but fire actors for using drugs or being influenced of alcohol, or hung over at work. Ordinary companies would both issue warnings and offer help. Only if the situation didn't improve after that, would the troubled employee get the boot. Parry Glasspool wasn't fired, but fined and given an unpaid vaccation, after having made a little video clip where he parodied a jealous psychopathic girlfriend, and moved a knife around the screen doing so. Apparently it was scary to kids to see Harry Thompson waving a knife around, and suggesting females could be paranoidly jealous psychopaths in a parady comedy sketch, was mysogenistic. I wonder what the same kids felt seeing Harry in Hollyoaks storylines being prostituted, made homeless, held on remand for having killed Amy Barnes, and drugged so he failed to meet up in court by his own boyfriend? That cant have been upsetting for them at all, apparantly. Not to mention how shocking it must have been for them to see the nice nanny, Breda, had a different side to her as a lunatic serial killer and kidnapper. Coronation Street's sacking of Chris Fountain falls in the same category. Not that I care much for violent or mysogenistic rap lyrics. But he is a performer, not a rapist. So to sack him, an identical reaction to the one the rapist got, cannot be justified - neither morally or legally. Fountain should have sued Granada and ITV for defamation of character, and claimed compensation for the years he struggled to get acting jobs. Sarah Jayne Dunne's situation is a little bit different since she was offered the chance of closing down her Only fans activity. But from a moral point of view, sacking her for something that doesn't directly relates to her work performance on the show - I assume her Only fans activities were within legal borders - is an infringement on her freedom of speech and freedom of expression. The hypocracy becomes even more apparent when you take into account the Hollyoaks franchise (Hollyoaks, Hollyoaks Later, Hollyoaks in the city) often have had their cast appear nude in scenes.
@@Tvjunkieful12not true...my friend worked at Currys for 15 years and was on heroin and methadone and Valium, they got onto the fact he was often on valium, and would send him home if he was too off it...he was brilliant at his job when not smashed, so they kept him on...if was only when they found out he was on methadone that they fired him .. which is insane as methadone was legally prescribed to him.. and didn't affect his work at all. Hypocrisy. Danielle Harold shouldn’t really be on this list considering its associated with actors who have done bad stuff that caused their firing. Her storyline and exit hasn’t even happened yet.
Also manpreets daughter in emmerdale was sacked over some tweets she posted. And Bruce who plays les battersby for being drunk on set and leaking storylines
More drama behind the scenes than there is on the shows. I've not watched any of them since 2011 Edit. Omg part of growing up is getting in clubs underage. My first time I went with my mum. This was a very long time ago now in the 90s.
If you do do a part 2, there was also the child actress on Corrie who grew up on the show and was sacked in the 70s for always being drunk on set (I think)
Danielle Harrold wasn’t sacked due to bad behaviour. Melissa Suffield was a shame she left, could been the next Janine if they didn’t ruin the character. Bruce Jones for one example. Sarah Jayne Dunn was a shame due to having a Only Fans.
I watched Bruno Langley in Doctor Who when he played Adam Mitchell. I thought the character was average not putting the blame on him just the writing never did him any favour. Just a Shame to hear all the stuff that came out about him.
Still don’t think the original guy who played Ellis should have been fired. However, the second after to play the character was better suited to the role in terms of casting a believable family. Like he’s very similar to Al so it did work out nice for emmerdale, but not for the 1st actor
Although what Chris Fountain did was unacceptable, I don't think he deserves the literal blackout his career has suffered from since. There are many rappers who rap about things which they don't believe in and while unsavoury the time doesn't fit the crime, I believe.
Danielle does not deserve to be axed. I stopped watching ee for many years so once again may take another break. Think firing Melissa was disgusting, most 17 nearly 18 secretly go to the pub or clubs! Sarah is right. Stopped watching hollyoaks as they’ve got hot rid of all the best characters. This was just the last straw. Bruno hurt, I can’t warm to the new Todd.

Lesson that should be learned without delay - your on screen image pays the bills, your off screen conduct must be of the highest standards to keep the money coming.
It seems that Corrie has had a few characters who can't behave themselves off screen, what other choice do the producers have but to sack the offender's
Soaps in general have been too quick to fire actors based solely on what emerges in the press, when they should have a awaited the result of investigations, or waited until they were sure they had all the facts, before concluding on a reaction. Many, also from Corrie, have been accused of sexual misconduct, but found innocent in court. It is the courts which have the knowledge and experience to convict and issue fair and correct punishments for wrongdoing - not the press, employers or society in large.
@Dominic Wileman But he is far from the only one to have been fired for alleged sexual assaults - with the difference the courts found them to be innocent. Some of them even worked on Corrie. People, including actors, should have the right to be and do what they want in their spare time - provided it is not against the law, off course. It is not production companies, or tv networks job to investigate accusations of wrongdoing, if the wrongdoing is serious enough to possibly be criminal. An internal investigation into such cases could seriously undermine the findings of a police investigation, since both alleged victims and the alleged offender could have gained information during such an investigation they could use to strengthen their case in the police investigation, causing that investigation to end up with an incorrect finding. It is also a fact actors have been fined and suspended without pay for 6 weeks as punishment for having made a sketch which some people complained about. Again, if there had been anything illegal about it, that would have been for the police to investigate and conclude. For a production company to fine and suspend an actor for a sketch he made on his spare time is a scandal, violating both his freedom of speech and freedom of expression. That someone didn't like the sketch should in itself not be enough to have the actor fine and suspended. Only if the sketch had broken a law should he have been suspended, and any fine would have to have been issued by either the police, or a court. Similar with Sarah Jayne Dunne being fired for being on Onlyfans. As long as she does her job, what she does on her spare time should be her business. Her employer should have no more right to decide what platforms Dunne could join, than which political party she wanted to vote for.
John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Mark 1.15 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
