WatchMojoUK Think Eastenders just some of the ones that are memorable for me are - Ronnie & Kat both being pregnant and Ronnie switching her dead baby for Kat’s live one - Alfie starting a fire to claim insurance on his house - The revelation of Lucy’s murder - Bobby with the music box - Max escaping from a police station / court room when charged with Lucy’s murder - Tanya burying Max alive - Max & Stacy’s affair being revealed via a video tape - Jane being kidnapped and then almost blown up by her deranged son - Ronnie & Roxy drowning Just to name a few.....
Arthur James not just the same roof but all in the exact same spot that Bradley had fallen from especially Abi she landed in the same spot on the floor and position apart from her being face up and Bradley was face down on the ground. Apart from that small detail their bodies was practically the same, leg bent, both arms bent with their hands at the side of their face. That should have been a forewarning about which one of them was going to die! X
Davina Naylor yes two of Max’s four children died because of Max. Bradley climbed on the pub roof because Max told him to run and the girls ended up on the roof because Max was up on it.
Only one entry for Hollyoaks? What about the storyline where a pair of twins (boy & girl) are split up as babies, randomly meet again when they're 13/14 at a party, sleep together, the girl gets pregnant, her father forces her gives up the baby. Then, about 15 years later, the twins find each other again, the girl falls "in love" and wishes to have a proper relationship with her brother. Later, the daughter finds her mother and permantly moves in with her (despite her not being her legal parent). This is where my memory of the storyline gets fuzzy, but a lot more crazy things happened after that
Don't forget that the daughter turned out to be a teenage psychopath who kills a local gangster and her wheelchair bound grandfather and hid the body in the village walls. Then the daughter seemingly dies in a fire, comes back a year later where the mother fakes her own death, keeps the daughter hostage and kills her.
@@Sam-oo1uo for a while, I was watching it just for the sake of it. I eventually stopped coz I couldn't handle all the ridiculous coincidences. They really are terrible. Like, no couple can actually have a decent marriage. At least one of them has to have an affair. It's such a tired plot device (among many others) yet they continue to use it.
Number 11. A hurricane in Hollyoaks in 2018. You read that right - hurricane. In England. Whoever came up with that must have been hungover, forgotten to do last nights homework and plucked the most ridiculous thing out of the recesses of their mind they could muster
Really? No Ronnie stealing Kat’s baby? No Linda being raped by her husband’s nephew but OH it turns out he’s actually her husband’s brother, and her husband’s sister, is his MOTHER.
@dr103 its weird cos it was on ronnies wedding day, roxy snorted some coke and ronnie got stuck under water by her dress espescially for the kind of characters they were
@The Angel That scene was just silly. Firstly, Max is already suicidal for whatever reason (I haven't watched EastEnders properly for years), so instead of either letting him end his life or having him be saved and get better, the writers choose to have him suffer more by having his kids fall trying to save him? Talk about drama for the sake drama! Second, the "fall" was so badly done. It looked they deliberately stepped backwards and fell on purpose, which was not the case.
Man the helicopter crash from Emmerdale should be on there 😂😂 a gas canister blew up into the sky, hit a helicopter. The helicopter then proceeded to crash onto the church where Debbie and Peter were getting married. But at said wedding Debbie was being exposed for her affair with Ross, Petes brother. That was a bloody rollercoaster tide that one
My mum: "Your videogames are so silly, look at them. I wish you'd do something a bit more... your age." Also my mum: "Turns out that Phil Mitchell is actually an android and his evil doppelganger is coming to fight him in the Queen Vic on tomorrow's episode."
To be fair to the eastenders storyline, Max had a huge phobia of being buried alive because of a practical joke his dad and his friends used to play on him when he was a kid locking him in caskets and threatening to Bury him so as nasty and as evil as it sounds tanya actually picked good revenge against max cause she used his biggest fear against him
With the Max being buried alive one, Tanya was playing with Max's worst nightmare for revenge. He had a massive fear of being buried alive due to his Father when drunk locking him in small places for hours on end, it wasn't just a random plan she thought up out of thin air lmao
The Willmott-Brown storyline in Eastenders at the end of 2017 was the weirdest storyline for me. They planned to destroy Albert Square completely but the storyline dropped mid way through and never went anywhere at all. Completely pointless.
There was no point brining him back in my opinion. He already apologised to Kathy in the 90s anyway (she didn't accept it, and rightly so), meaning his storyline was closed anyway. I didn't watch EastEnders during any of the times he was in, but I heard from my mother that they just randomly dropped it in 2017.
What so the "Mad Mary" storyline actually went somewhere?! I wasn't watching Corrie at the time, just glancing at it, so when I later found that she was still in it, I assumed that the whole thing of her being seemingly insane was just a joke (like they would have either revealed it was all innocent or just dropped it.) I mean it's still gone nowhere as she's still in it, but I thought it went completely nowhere with her never doing anything insane.
I think Milo might be the Hollyoaks version of John. I didn't watch Coronation Street during John's storyline (aside from the bit that blended into the tram crash episodes), but if a lot of his kills were done by accident, it sounds like Milo in Hollyoaks - literally the whole point if him seemed to be this guy who wanted to be redeemed, but he couldn't stop killing people by accident. Hell, Milo even said something like "There's been a terrible accident" for at least two of his kills (confession; I didn't actually watch this storyline either, just know parts of it.)
"It was all a dream" has been a popular trope for years, but nobody ever realizes that "nothing you just saw happened or matters" is usually a sour note to end on.
Phil Redmond initially wanted _Emmerdale_ to do the deadly virus storyline however the executive refused so Redmond went back to _Brookside_ and did it there.
You forgot the most ridiculous ones: in corrie, Michelle's son was swapped at birth now shes living as one big happy family with both of them. In eastenders, a similar thing happened. Also in eastenders., I find the mick/shirley thing a bit odd.
5:38 Did that guy just run towards the van that ran him over a second later? Generally when a vehicle is coming towards you, you run out of the way rather than towards death, unless he was aiming to save the girl?
What about the holly oaks glove handed killer that was stupid and killed off major characters with big storylines at the time and it was so unrealistic 🙄🙄🙄
Carys McGuckin it was actually based on a true story that had not long been in the news a few months before it actually started. A hospital nurse was going around killing people making it look like heart failure etc... and they got away with it for years even killing babies and young children so it wasn’t unrealistic. X
There needs to be a top 10 storylines just for Hollyoaks, like serial killers Silas, Lindsey, Cameron, Breda, fire at the Dog, the flat explosion, Niall killing Kieron, his sister Tina and taking the rest of the family hostage in a church, the Nico stuff, the Sienna stuff, Will killing his mum and his wife to name but a few LOL
3:48 that was pretty good considering it was filmed live. What always confused me though, was how come Molly's baby didn't die in that massive crash in the shop??
Emmerdale has kind of dropped the ball again themselves. Far too many Dingles in the village and Cain and Debbie are just the worst. They've also ruined good characters like Aaron with boring storylines. Still better than Eastenders at the moment.
i know it's been said before.. but the hollyoaks bus crash is the weirdest storyline? not the one where two twin siblings are separated at birth but then sleep together in their teens, get separated again and then completely forget about each other, then the dad locks the daughter in a basement and tells her that her daughter had died and then she turns into a crazy baby stealing psycho and steals a woman's life (breastfeeding a child that isn't even hers) and then gets locked up and later reunited with her twin, who she becomes obsessed with and handcuffs him to a radiator to have the perfect christmas, and then the incest daughter becomes a serial killer and shoves her murdering uncle off of a roof, kills her mum's husband's daughter, stabs her mum' ex on his wedding day, suffocates her abusive grandfather, kidnaps her best friend and tries to poison her ex, tries to murder her mum about a million times only to "burn" to death in a fire and then return two years later as a stalker, stabs her mum, the mum "dies", attends her own funeral and then comes back to life to confront her daughter on a roof, he ex returns and kidnaps her son, and then she runs into her own wake, and then later on she kills her own daughter and goes to prison. but no. the bus crash was weird.
I actually enjoyed the hollyoaks 2014 crash. I felt a heap of emotions watching them, and I cried for Doug and stie. I hated Maddie for bullying Esther, and was so glad when she was killed. It makes sense when you watch the whole episode, like how Sinead was getting married, and they were just being stupid teens who didn't see the girl until she was quite close. They went to avoid the girl, only crashing into the weddings. Maddie gets got by a part of a car that flew when it exploded and it smacks her on the head. That's more understanding then most deaths.
You should do "Best Moments in Soap Opera", maybe Cain's police escape (Emmerdale; 21st September 2006), Kings' River Showhome Explosion (Emmerdale; 13th July 2006), Tram Crash (Coronation Street; 9th December 2010)
I've been watching the Classic Eastenders on Drama, Sharon never identified Den, they fished out a body a year after his "death" so the police told her that his body would be in a state and considering forensics was in it's infancy they assumed it was Den
I feel like Bredas storyline from hollyoaks should be on here if it were to be updated. She was a psychopath who killed 6 people on her time on the show, killed her daughters father, her stepsons father and her own father in flashbacks bringing her known body count to 9. On top of that she held tony in a cell for months and attempted to kill 7 more people, some of them 2 or 3 times. She made Lachlan from emmerdale look like snow white
When the video first started, I was yelling at my computer, "No way is the Plane Crash on this list. It's because of this storyline that Emmerdale is still running." Thank goodness it wasn't in the end. I hadn't heard of #1 until now. That must have annoyed a lot of people.
Yeah, the disaster storyline don't belong here (same with "Enjoy the Ride" on Hollyoaks) - they should be in a list of "Most Over the Top Storylines" or something, not weird storylines, in my opinion.
What annoyed me about the Pat Phelan story is that he just seemed to be watching or eavesdropping at the critical moments. Nothing got by him and I hated that. Nothing could catch him by surprise because he conveniently knew about it.
Right I’ve watched the soaps since I was a baby only because my nan and mum have watched them since I was born and tbh I remember the majority of these storylines and I actually enjoyed them growing up lol

They did a Cloning Storyline where Reva was a Teen played by Bethany Joy Lenz who came back as Michelle Bauer #4 on Guiding Light. Bethany later would play Haley James Scott on One Tree Hill. There was a Dreaming Death on Guiding Light that also didn't make any sense.
Samuel Barber yeah I heard tho think they were like real life when I saw my mum watching them but now that ive started watching Corrie and emmerdale , But now I realise they are pretty unrealistic
I'd say having Nikki Shandwick trying to shack up with Jimmy Corkhill was a weird storyline but at that point Brookside had run its course they knew they were on the outs sadly and were trying to turn dust into gold, what's sadder is their storylines were just odd and bizarre I think the last storyline that they did which was good was the seige storyline or the bullying storyline where Anthony killed Imelda that was some great acting by Ray Quinn
Which show has weirder storylines, Corrie or East Enders?
East Enders 😂
East Enders hands down
Definitely East Enders!

Having deaths all the time in eastenders kinda stops having a impact
There aren't that many deaths in eastenders actually. Hollyoaks on the other hand...

when you watch any of these shows you know what your getting your self into from watching it.
What about when Ronnie Mitchell swapped her baby with Kats after hers died in EastEnders?
I'd forgotten just how far fetched storylines can become.
Coronation Street In 1960, Emmerdale Farm In 1972, EastEnders In 1985 📺📺📺📺
The John Stape story line was briliant.
Soaps r becoming more like horror movies these days 😲
Milo from Hollyoaks killing 3 people all by accident should be on this list.
I love british soaps, they are so OTT
Oh god the fake gavin storyline 😭😭😂😂😂
how the hell is hollyoaks only mentioned once in this list?
there's an episode of Eastenders where a bus crashes into the market, the members of the town ends up lifting said bus

And here I was, thinking these were supposed to be like real life.
Samuel Barber yeah I heard tho think they were like real life when I saw my mum watching them but now that ive started watching Corrie and emmerdale , But now I realise they are pretty unrealistic
at 4:00 he's just standing inside the tram not giving a shit lol.
Lol i saw loughland and knew that it would be about his long line of murders
You should have done the who killed Lucy storyline
Yes
I was young when I watched the tram crash on Corrie and it scared me a lot. It looked like something from a horror movie!
You know if there's a wedding, there's always something that will go wrong
I may be biased but I loved, nae adored both of those Corrie storylines
None:
Literally nobody:
Brookside woman: hEs DeAd 💀😂
Youve missed out some good ones. You should do a part 2.
I wish I can watch these soaps!
Send me £400 and I'll make your dreams come true
Watch it then!
@@tomitankengine I'm guessing this person doesn't live in the UK so can't watch
