For the amount of work, prep and cost vs what you get and how much is going to be seen, seems like a reasonable "touch up". Alternatively, similar can be achieved with a can of proper caliper paint and spraying separately onto something and then use a small brush or cue tip. Or taking the time to mask every scratch and then spray it directly. I found this because I was considering doing the same :). Thanks
+Cameron Murphy there’s a flat spot of the frame that connects to the control arm. I do not put the weight of the car on it, just enough to hold it in place if the jack goes out. If I’m going under the car I will put the stands in the correct places plus 2 fail safes on the dif and front jack points. Again, not actually supporting the car just there if anything happens they will catch the car.
I want to know the same thing, my scratch on two of my calipers are worse than his and my car is otherwise show quality, so this will be interesting. I am going to try it as I have little to lose. I am running Baer brakes however, so I have a deeper Cardinal Red color I need to find :-)

hmm, i'd be interested to know if the color changed on this. Can't imagine model paint is designed to withstand 500 degree temps.
You used Testors model paint? That's designed for painting toy model cars. It's not designed to handle the high heat experienced by brake calipers.
What color of red on that bremo. My is red to and got lots of scratches.
Good match, nice job
where are you placing that jack stand (i.e. under what suspension part)? You obviously have your floor jack on the front jack point. Thanks

Gotcha. Figured that to be the case. Appreciate it! m3 is looking good brother!
