Em wasn't suppose to kneel, he still kneeled, Snoopy wasn't suppose to Crip Walk and he wasn't suppose to have a blue bandana hanging out of his back pocket, he still Crip Walked, and instead of a blue bandana hanging from his back pocket, he wore a whole blue bandana outfit, Dr. Dre was suppose to censor the "negative reference" about police. They told Dre he couldn't have control over the performance. He did. They told Eminem he couldn't take a knee. He did. They told Snoop not to have a blue flag on him. He had a whole ass track suit with the blue bandana print. I'm sure they told Kendrick & Mary J Blige not to do something as well and they did. This was definitely a half time show for HISTORY! HIP HOP DOMINATION ✌️

You just know Dre had a "f them" meeting with his costars and just told them to go for it. They still tamed down the language, but that was less important than Snoop acknowledging who he really is, and them understanding Em HAD to be the one to take a knee, because white fragility is the only reason taking a knee was considered controversial in the first place, so a white guy shaming the NFL over it was extra juicy. Of course they also created a cover about it being a Tupac trib, which is true too, but they were working on two levels.
They cleared up those rumours, they didnt tell them not to do any of those things. Mary did an interview yesterday and said the same thing.
They did it in a way where it was obvious but it was not wrong to do so and NFL saying they never say they can't do so and the artists agreeing was just them being "smart".
Wait don’t the performers have complete control over what they do?

Dre came to my kids elementary school in Compton back in 2016 and donated computers, books and a bunch of school supplies for the kids. He took pictures and signed autographs for the staff. He was so kind, absolute legend ❤️

As an Asian this show was easily one of the best & most hype just from the nostalgia of it all and I can't imagine how much it must mean to the Black community seeing their legends up there representing the very best of hip hop.

I came back to rewatch u guys. Reminded me of my friends back in my hs 91-94 and college 95 to early 2000s I miss these days. This halftime show brought out the youngin out me.
This is legendary on so many different levels, this is the NFL featuring Dr Dre period. The rest of those legends are all part of the Dre legacy and became legends of their own. Goes to show you how big Dre truly is, period.

Bunny for his brother Colin Kaepernick they even told Eminem don’t take the knee when you perform but Eminem doesn’t give a fuck about anyone’s opinion he did it for us for the Colin Kaepernick because the stupid football league organization wanted to kick out Colin Kaepernick for standing up for the rating one black kids were getting killed and beaten up when they were playing games and have your childhood fun

This was by far the best Super Bowl halftime show ever. The best lineup we ever could’ve asked for. I was so excited when they announced it and was absolutely blown away. I don’t think there will ever be another halftime show or concert as good as this was.
