Jason & Luke pushing the genre to new boundaries

Awesome song. Thanks for making these clips btw. I rarely have time to watch twitch so this makes it easy for me to not miss out. Keep up the good work
“I will never listen to this song again, but I love it”. Craig perfectly described the new Jason Richardson album
I love how you can tell it’s Jason playing by the way his notes sound. So signature
'Ill never listen to this song again but I love it' is exactly how I feel
Craig is the only person who I've seen mention Intervals when hearing this song. I totally got the Intervals vibe on parts when I first heard it.
Craig is a super underrated musician IMO
the intervals have some great songs like libra
Mata Hari ❤️
@@Tslinke Momento, Rubicon Artist, Siren Sound etc
@@pranavchandrav6071 The Shape of Colour is a freaking 10/10 album. Every song is just bonkers amazing. I might be biased towards it though as Travis Orbin played the drums on that album, and I'm a sucker for anything he's contributed to lol. Anup Sastry's work on the albums A Voice Within and In Time is also stellar! Tapestry and Momento are such amazing songs that deserve more recognition!!!
I hope these guys never change, there’s a space for instrumental metal. I’m all for it
I'm 1:35 into the video and im already inspired to sell my guitar
Jamanjicore - what a sub genre
The Pokémon battle riffing was fantastic
Just waited for you reaction video! That song is crazy
i am happy blasting
Loving who ever the fuck said “Pokémon core” in 6:36
I’d like to point out that in Plini’s song Handmade cities from 2:51-3:08 he did the muted sweeps. So this isn’t a first.
Chris Storey did some muted sweeps on Awaken the Dreamers from All Shal Perish in 2008 aswell, its been around.
@@theOwnuts or was that Jason Richardson when he was in that band?
@@mr5jr Ha, forgot Jason played for them aswell, but no, it was from Storey, there's videos of the production and recordings.
I just saw him with All that Remains last week. I knew I recognized him! lol
I feel like they had an older Between the Buried and Me vibe. So cool, such a great sound. Fits perfect in a playlist for gamers.
I think I have seen Chris Storey from All Shall Perish do the sweep picking with muting strings but yes Jason kicks butt and Luke too
Man, miss his playing and that era of All Shall Perish. Matt Kyukendal (sp?) on drums was also amazing.
First time I ever heard "Black Gold Reign" I actually thought it was Jason on guitar lol. Good god do I miss All Shall Perish. Songs like "Rebirth", "Awaken the Dreamers", "Better Living Through Catastrophe", "From so far Away", "My Retaliation", and "The Last Relapse" still get played almost daily.
Mad Between the Buried and Me vibes
Okay but that one part is just straight up Metal pokemon battle music haha this Is nuts
When Nik calls a Pokémon reference the bee song 🤣🤣🤣
He was thinking of Flight of the Bumblebees but it didn't really sound like that to me
Helle sicke
YESSSS Mr Bungle!!! Mike Patton is a legend.
I can’t believe none of them mentioned how the section after the chiptune is obviously a Pokemon tribute! Crazy song!
I wanna see a 1v1 between Jason Richardson and Charles Caswell in the next one
bruh discord notifications always get me
Jumanjicore. Holy fuck 😂
finally a craig video where he doesn’t pause 20 times
only talks too much hahah
Tosin Abasi had some muted arpeggiated runs in mind-spun, but nothing like this lol
Jumanji-core im dead xd
the reaction avengers
I don't want Jason and Luke to get a vocalist, but who do you think would fit?
Dan Vasc
I am so tired by just watching this
Matt Gartska........ Nuf Said.
" muted sweeps"
i noticed MIW wasn’t on the list. will there be a youtube video for that? i don’t want to sound annoying since i saw the chat blasting “Where is MIW?”
Yes, it will go live today on Nik's channel
- Caleb
Animals as Leaders...
BTBAM vibes.
I feel like this is Intervals if Aaron Marshall did about 3 -4 lbs of cocaine
Pokémon's never been that metal before, lmao
Boo is sad that they let Jason go. The Discovery is their best album because Jason was it. 🤘
Didn't Jason only write the last 2 songs and the solos?
ok well I now have 11 guitars for sale if anyone is interested
I am a Craig😤👌
Where's MiW reaction??
I laiket cuz etz fuckan mehn-oh
These dudes are ridiculous. Jason Richardson needs to chill
I get like a dragon force itch from this. They are Incredible musicians, no doubt about that, but I wouldn't put it on a playlist. For sure it has nice bits for practicing my own playing (which is noware near as good as they can play) but a guitar solo of 7 minutes is just not pleasant listen to, in my opinion.
Nik you're way better than Jason Shimitirson
The playing is always so impressive, I just don’t really like Jason’s writing. It seems more like, “here’s my influences, but I have no idea how to not show ALL of them in every song I write” instead of about creating a coherent track.
These guys are beyond overrated still...
Nah bro
