The 11th good thing with this car is that it drives well on snow ❄️ and ice. Front wheel drive together with good suspension and good feel makes it good when the temperature drops below zero.
I’ve got the 1.8 too, and with two people in it it’s pretty quick and makes a nice roar to it. When driving normally, there’s a bit of a transmission whine which gives the car a bit of character which is nice.
Well i got one 1.9 cdti 120bhp, i would say its really nice car to drive, the diesel engine with this massive torque defenelty makes it better then the petrol counter part in every aspect. Things you need to look for is properly maintaining the engine, the air intake paths and making long runs on the motorway once a month to regenerate the DPF. Another thing due to the large mass of the car and even having a heavy diesel engine is the front suspension that needs alot of attention if you drive on B roads but usually replacing the front suspension with brand new parts costs like 150-200 euro's. The 6th speed manual also requires oil change on every 2 engine oil changes ( around 20-25k km. ), cost is like 10-15 euro. Cables around the engine tend to ware fast due to the heat as well and require replacement with new but after all its an Opel most of the parts are between 2,50 and 2,65 euro ;) To summarize all the car is build solid, its economical ( at least the diesel engines, for example i make 6,5L/100 Urban, 5,2L / 100km avarage and less to 3.9L / 100 on the highway messured on the fuel tank) and its really cheap to maintain with brand new parts, has a lot of space for its size (4,5 meters with up to 1800 litters of trunk space) and if your lucky to get the Cosmo or OPC version with the Recaro leather seats it gets little bit of luxury. Cost of the car is really low since its Opel, but its probably one of the last car models that are build to last forever.
I have the DTR engine model which means I get another 15hp out of the 1.7 lump. With some slight adjustments to hoses and the DPF it's actually a really quick car
It looks like a practical car, loads of room for cargo and to be honest, it looks very nice! Pretty much everything negative can be easily replaced/changed (I'm guessing) I hope it runs good for a long while.
It’s a nice looking car tbh mate, my mate has a 2013 corsa but it needs new wheels, a battery and some oil gonna help it out but the one problem is it’s automatic haha!
ZAFIRA is a great car the one and only thing that bothered me is the lack of ground clearance when full of passengers. Otherwise its a great motor . Mine is 22 years old and running strong.
Hello,do you carry a spare, spare wheel ? as the Zafira B Elite comes with a spare below the floor pan, underneath, you can not easily see it ,but look underneath the tail gate and it should be there, the tool to lower it down is in the tool compartment under the carpet with the jack and wheel brace etc Regards JD Yes I have one as well.
No need to put the spare in the boot. Find a Zafira A at a scrappie and take the under chassis spare wheel cage and dropper bolt. The mounts are on the 'B' ready to take the cage.
Hey man, good video! I have the same Zafira as yours, and I am satisfied with the car. There is one annoying thing - a rattling sound from the top center of the dashboard. That plastic thing on the top with the tiny wholes. If the road is just a little imperfect you can hear squicking and rattling. Do you have the same problem?
I bought zafira 2012 but the heater doesn't make hot air, the engineer said needcto change the heater box, it is a big job because you need to take off all the dashboard, i gave it back to the car dealer to fix it and i am waiting, do you think he will able to fix it or just refund my money?
Or if you can't go Vxr.. Do the airbox mod + vectra c intake mod + buy a Pedalbox, it TRANSFORMS the 1.8 into a very different beast (even more so if you have the Sport button) it Just pulls so much better, I'd go as far as saying that with the factory trumpet intake they purposedly made the 1.8 an asthmatic unit and less appealing offer than the 2.2 direct so not to cannibalize the supposedly superior 2.2. Try at least the vectra c intake mod and you'll see the difference !!
@@gazza9919 you're welcome. The Pedalbox (and all them pedal signal alteration boxes) is a bit expensive (£200) and I was worried I'd pour money into a gimmick but after reading reviews online I took the plunge and it really is a must have especially for our 1.8 naturally aspirated. I dunno it's as if even the torque has improved, it just pulls harder and smoother, and the flats spots are almost all gone. No need to say I am now satisfied and will not sell my car !! Oh and last thing the Vectra c air intake will improve mpg quite noticeably as well.
I know, its just the fact that they use a cage which is a little annoying as the wheel and cage get exposed to the elements resulting in the cage rusting away
You keep saying about how disappointed you are with the executive spec. Vauxhall never made an executive Zafira. What you have there is an exclusiv spelt without the e for some reason. I wonder how is the handling with 7 passengers in the car. And the performance in general .
@@alexgallardo9306 I feel like you would notice the difference but it would still do it's job
At least you could sleep in it comfortably then by moving the seats forward like that

The Zafira is a chubby Astra in my book.
