And at the top of Riot Peak's normal class fight, we find Veigue. He's looking for a sword. What were you expecting?
Veigue is the hero of Tales of Rebirth, a game that never came out in English. Most of the game revolves around Veigue searching for Claire. The pun on their names is that Veigue is vague while Claire is clear. The game deals with themes of co-existence between beast-men and more normal humans. Sophie's line about "living together" is a reference to this theme. It's far more obvious in Japanese.
With this, master class is open! If I'm truly in a masochistic mood, I'll play it. I just barely scraped by as-is, so perhaps it's time I beat the game and did the future arc instead.
