    Excellent comparison.👊
The Bodyguard 2.0 is my only 380 and I got it specifically to have a pocket pistol. The Sig & Ruger are not really what I would consider a "pocket pistols." They are bigger, size wise they are closer to a micro 9 than a pocket pistol. But I have never shot either of them, I've only held them at the tool store. 👍

29-year LEO. Bought one for my back-up and off-duty carry. Don't believe the detractors on .380, I've seen plenty of people killed by them, and I don't mean mag dumps. At under 10yrds, where 90%+ shootings occur, it's as effective as 9mm. Doesn't have the velocity or make the wound channel, but gets the job done. I am completely confident carrying 23rds of .380 at Winn Dixie.

Ruger Security 380 is great shooting as you mentioned... if it works. And in my experience it is poor: uneven feeding ramp, light magazine and recoil springs leading to FTF issues every 4 rds.

For comfort and concealment and ease of draw, there has never been a better option than the classic Colt Model M, version of 1908. It is also the most ergonomic compact handgun ever made, say many users and collectors, being a good fit for most hand sizes. All others are simply variations on a theme.
That said, there are many good guns out today, the best is probably the S&W Bodyguard II for over-all attributes. At its weight, the recoil is very low. Not at all snappy unless using hotter ammo. It has a low bore axis, and points instinctively - something very important in a gun designed for 3 to 25 FEET defense reanges. All this talk of 20 to 30 YARDS is non-sense, and only for the plinkers - not the fighters. If you want to plink for bragging rights, use a S&W Model 17 with an 8-3/8" barrel. The little snubbies are for personal defense, and will serve well in that capacity if you do your part.

I put my p365 .380 in a Wilson Combat grip module, added an Mcarbo flat trigger, an extended mag release, I use the 12 round 9mm magazines with the MagGuts 14 round extension kits for 15 rounds total. Not one misfire from day one. We're at a couple thousand rounds at this point of just about every type of .380 ammo out there. Yes, all in, I've spent close to 1K on it but I never leave the house without it. My p365 XL 9mm (similarly configured) stays home. Tried the Ruger and the new bodyguard. They both have their applications and if price is your driver the Ruger is a great buy. I had an LCP2 and got rid of it, so tempted by the bodyguard, there are summer days when it's size is just hard to argue about.

I own the S&W EZ, but in 9mm. Like you, I found a dislike for the grip safety. If your grip isn't perfect, you could find yourself not depressing the safety correctly and the gun won't go BANG. I solved this problem by slipping a rubber grip sleeve over the grip. It adds just enough so that the safety gets depressed every time.

The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 is THE BEST designed and manufactured micro-subcompact 380 in the last 40 plus years. I have the Sig 365 9mm, Sig 238, Ruger LCP Max, Regular LCP, et. I own many. Ruger should just stop manufacturing the LCP Max all together. The sig 365 (9mm) is the best micr 9mm, but the S&W Bodyguard 2.0 is half the weigh, thinner, over all smaller and easier to shoot that the Sig 365. You can keep the Sig. This new Bodyguard 2.0 beats ALL THE OTHERS in EVERY CATEGORY! Bar none! All of these smallpistol require a small amount of break in INCLUDING the Sigs. I have 400 plus rounds through mine. About 4 mags loosened mine up perfectly. It even shoots the "Seargeant Major" zinc plated steel case (tula) ammo like candy! I never feel outgunned or under gunned with this new Bodyguard 2.0 i I use it as a primary carry and rotate it out for my Ruger LCR revolver. S&W gave they're customers what they have been asking for. On a side note, it puts the Glock 42 in the dirt on size and capacity. The 380 cartridge is plenty to stop an attacker in my opinion. You don't need fancy pants ammo either 95 grain hard ball anything does the job just fine. I want to poke holes in important body parts. I don't care about expansion. Don't fall for all the BS of dudes on you tube that are fully kitted out telling you a 380 isn't something to worry about. S&W gets an 11 out of 10 from me.

Need Sig to release a P365 Fuse in .380 so we can possibly have 22-25 flush fit mags. My grandma had a stroke and while her hand strength is still decent, she’s having trouble handling 9mm recoil. It would be nice to have a fuller size pistol in .380.
