    Two happiest days. Day you buy it and the day you sell. Have fun!

      Nope. The two days you use it. Saturday and Sunday. No true boater enjoys parting with an old friend. See ya on the water.

    Awesome! I bought one in 2021 as well and I love it! I had two fantastic summers with it!

    Been eyeing one of these. Has everything I want! Haven’t drove anything more than 20’, so I’d be kind of scared parking it. It’s all in the graceful engine cutoff slow drift technique, heh. Wife says to wait :( But waiting means getting older (I’m 42), and I want to enjoy life NOW!

    • @MikeandGayleAdventure
      @MikeandGayleAdventure  2 года назад

      You might want to think about taking some lessons in the meantime, then you can get a feel if it's right for you. You don't ever want to cut off the engine in the big boats, you might need them again in a hurry. The wind catches our boat in strange ways that is very different from driving a small boat without much freeboard. Agree that life is too short not to go out and have fun!

    Beautiful Boat - we have the little sister the 3270/3288 - these bayliners are a great bang for the buck and so much room. We moved up from a 28ft express cruiser and lover the new boat.

    Congratulations, wishing you many happy and safe years on the water, I'm looking for a 4588-4788 raised pilot house Bayliner but I keep being drawn to one of these models, how's everything so far

      My in-laws have a 45' and it's very nice, also. We really like the open layout of the 38'. You can really see out while you're in the salon. It's going well so far. I have a lot of other adventures and repairs to share. I need to get busy editing! Thanks for the comment.

    Congratulations on the new boat! Very exciting to see people enjoying boating as much as we do. Your story is great and very familiar. We are literally doing the same kind of upgrade as you... We have had a 2003 Bayliner 265 for 14 years and just bought a 2001 Bayliner 3488 back in November. (SO fun to own two boats at once!) We will be doing some cleaning and upgrades to the bigger boat, and will look to sell the smaller one in March. I'm curious if you kept the name 'Sea-Esta' or if you're going to do the official ceremonies and re-name her 'Happy Time'?

    • @MikeandGayleAdventure
      @MikeandGayleAdventure  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! The stress of owning two boats, at least it's short term. It would have been nice to keep the 26' for some things, but we do not have time to maintain them both. No spoilers, but stay tuned for an update on the name. Thanks for sharing!

      It's diesel, it has two 175 HP Hinos. All of the financial details are in the video description.

    A friend of mine has this boat in Long Island sound it’s a home on the water! We’ve been out with 8 to 10 people very comfortably. It’s a solid boat just a bitch in the wind docking without a bow thruster

    • @MikeandGayleAdventure
      @MikeandGayleAdventure  2 года назад

      You know this boat! It's comfortable, but docking in the wind and current is crazy!

      @@MikeandGayleAdventure if/when you address the a/c I'd love to hear how it went - haven't addressed mine yet

    • @MikeandGayleAdventure
      @MikeandGayleAdventure  3 года назад

      We likely won't be adding an a/c. We're in the Seattle area, so it usually isn't necessary. We are thinking about adding a diesel heater, though!

    You should add tunnels if they still make them it helps keep them on plane and better fuel economy.

    • @MikeandGayleAdventure

      The former owner was not a good captain and almost ran into so many things. He also was injured and couldn't really see out because he couldn't stand up or go up to the fly bridge. We were just glad when it was over!
