No talking, no music. Your father would have been happy to hear the sounds of the workshop one more time. A wonderful tribute you have paid to your Dad.
I blew dad away with a leaf blower. A cloud. He drifted away into the woods chased by his dog. Amazing performance all the way around. Your box project is amazing too.
Ronald McDonald's is a very deserving charity. Never knew anything about them until I spent a month in one of their houses. Now I support them with a yearly donation. Absolute lifesavers.
I LOVE How you made that for your dad! I cried like a baby when you put his things in the top for him. I think he would be VERY proud of what you did for him!
I came across this video by chance. No music... No commentary. Just a man alone in his shop with his tools, his hands and his thoughts. The only video on this channel like it, (I checked) yet it says more than any other. Simply the most beautiful and thing I have seen in years! Just subscribed.
I knew watching this would be hard because it would remind me of my missing my own father. But when you got to the end and put his belongings in their I lost it. I'm sorry for your loss, your father would be very proud of what you made for him.
I lost my Dad way back in '79... Today 8/21 is his Birthday....... I've a tear just thinking about him and your loss.... I'm sure our Lord in Heaven is watching you make this beautiful Urn.............God Bless your father and my best to you too.
As sons we aspire to always seek the approval of our Dad. I can assure you he is smiling on the fact that you have taken the time and care to make him something with your hands. It’s clear he meant the world to you as a father that’s what we want to be to our kids. Big bro Hug to you my man. 🙏 Hoping yo start a shop in my garage soon!
A loving son showing love for his Dad all done in silence except the power tools that make this special. And I have a feeling you Dad is up there looking down and smiling saying Thank you for being my son.
Your dad must have been a special person, as evidenced by you and your life. I am moved beyound words, at your craft, and you love. I feel the same about my Dad. Thanks for sharing this special moment with all of us.
Such a stunning piece of work. I started crying once you put the ashes in. I lost my dad back in June and we had him cremated. This makes me wish I had taken up woodworking with him when he was alive. While I wasn't able to do something like this, I created a shadowbox of all his things that hangs over his urn box. God, I miss him.
A Great Memorial to your Father. May he Rest In Peace. Beautiful and Awesome - I am sure Your Dad Would Be Proud, but more so of the Great Respect That You Have Shown For Him.
What a wonderful thing to do with your skills. I love the idea of the preserving your dad’s things in the top compartment. Now generations of your family can see them. You are a good son. I just know your dad would be so proud. Thanks for sharing this.
A wonderful tribute to your dad and a fond remembrance of the times you spent together. I studied HVAC but the nitty gritty mechanical stuff is not taught in school. It all came from my dad. Thank you fathers everywhere. May those who have left us Rest In Peace.
Beautiful work. I lost my father almost 40 years ago, and I still think of him every day. My experience is that the pain doesn't go away, but with time you learn to live with it.
From the title and the thumbnail, I knew that this video would be a tear-jerker. It's been over 20 years since I lost my own dad to pancreatic cancer, and even now, I still miss him terribly. This was a very beautiful homage to your dad.
Greetings from Spain. Man,i lost my father two years ago. You made this touching tribute with all your love. I felt any cut or polish you did. I don't imagine better place for your father's rest. You have all my respect. Sorry for your loss, may your beloved father rest in peace.
I have my dads ashes in my workshop along with an end of life memory photograph of him hanging on my wall. This looks like a fitting and worthwhile project. Thank you so much for sharing. A dedicated resting place too.
I got tears in my eyes when the items were placed in the box. It reminded me of both my parents who died in a period of five months. The love seen in this project moves me deeply ...
My God, how beautiful. That last bit man, when you placed his belongings in the box made me cry. I am sorry for your loss but i'm pretty sure that part of him lives through you.
What a moving video. Your Dad is proud of you and he'll always be with you in all your projects. Thank you so much for sharing that. I lost my Dad 3 years ago and there isn't a moment that goes by that I don't think of him.
My dad was with the Special Forces , in Vietnam . His group were known as" The Pioneers" and trained Indigenous people called Bong and Montagnards . He was with a group called MACV/SOG" Pioneers" When my dad passed 5 years ago , he had made arrangements to.be cremated ...1 Always the loving dad, he preplanned and had prepaid for everything ...never telling us kids ....but the Urn he never chose but instructed , in his will to me as executor, to chose the "most basic wooden one " because my dad was a woodsman and simple man . Guess what the model was called which had just been made by hand from a local woodsmith for the mortuary by a veteran craftsman? The Pioneer :) Thank you for sharing this as a gift of love brother .
This is a very loving tribute from a son to his father. Good man he is. I only wish I’d thought of this in preparation for My Dads passing. I had all of the tools and all of the skills. He must have been a good father and had taught these skills to his boy. God Bless your memories as well as all of our memories of our fathers. I miss my Dad every day. Thank you for this. Rest In Peace
The choice of wood and the workmanship is very fitting for a fine memorial box. I would only add gold leaf lettering on the front panel showing his name and the two dates. I like your design. My dad's body was donated for medical science research and when they were done, the doctor who knew him well, who was a member of that same research facility, took his asses and sprinkled them on the beach where my dad and mom used to enjoy so many walks together. I carry his memory with me all the time and we still enjoy the many pictures of him enjoying life and I like that more than I would a box or urn with his asses inside. But, you did a beautiful work and tribute with your lovely box. So tasteful and peaceful.
I made my fathers as well. It was done with Maple for his love of baseball and Purple Heart for Pancreatic Cancer awareness which is what took him from us. Probably the hardest thing I’ve ever built . Good work.
Chris just found this very emotional memorial build. Your respect for your craftsmanship honors your Dad in a way that requires no talk as words would not do the respect your beautiful piece speaks. The attention to detail especially the compound miter moulding, choice of hinges, ⁰d the gorgeous wood. God Bless your Dad & your family.
beautiful box , I made one out of some old redwood barn wood for my little brother, when my mom died buried him next to her. GOD bless you and your family.
Thank you for posting this. I lost my father last year and it's been eating at me that I haven't built an urn for him yet. You've inspired me to start the process. I took the steps to harvest some fallen timber from the campground we spent our summers on and I'll be taking some from the family property to finally create a suitable resting place for Dad.
What a beautiful tribute to your dad. I lost my father in my arms. And that’s one day I will never forget. I am so sorry for your loss. You made your father a beautiful home. 🦋
That was beautiful. I lost my dad when I was 18years old. He died in an automobile accident. When you finished that gorgeous box and then placed yours dad's photos and items inside my tears were flowing. My sincerest condolences. That was a truly touching piece of work. He would be proud.
My mother passed away last year, I've been looking for some ideas to do the same as you.. nice work!! Your dad would've been proud of the beautiful box!! You got me when you put his watch inside!!♥️🙏🏻😔👍🏻
Welcome to an ever growing club that nobody wants to join. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Now that the tears have cleared my eyes from you beautiful and moving tribute of love I need to say thank you. I lost both my parents within 2 years of each other and have had a hard time figuring out what to do with their remains. You've given me tremendous food for thought and inspiration. Thanks again.
Sorry for your loss. This was a beautiful tribute to your father that I am sure he would be very proud of you for doing such beautiful work to honor him.
I can not imagine how hard that was to do but the honor you show your dad by using your skills which you may or may not have learned from him is a great thing, sorry for your loss man.
OMG, I have just found this video because a very close friend of mine has just passed, and I wanted to make something beautiful for her. This is an absolutely stunning piece and i will take some inspiration from this video. Thank you very much for the vid.
I love the grain pattern! Thank you for showing us this project, I know how hard building this must have been because the entire time your working on it you’re being constantly reminded.
I am so sorry for your loss, I lost dad 30+ years ago and mom about 7. I wish i had the talent to do something like this for either of them. Thank you for sharing, it doesn't go away, but it does get easier. I teared up during the video, but lost it at the end. Beautiful.
What you made is beautiful and I'm honestly glad you shared it. Thank you for the video. You've given something to your whole family by doing this and you took us along for the ride. The end tore me up, man.
I am overwhelmed with the response to this video. Thank you all so much for your kind word and comments. I truly appreciate it.
Seriously, this just made we want to make a project....another of your father's legacy
Your dad would be so proud. Beautiful tribute mate!

This was the greatest testimony of love and respect for a love one that I have I ever seen. You left every thing on the field. Thank you.
I made a wooden urn for my dad just a few months ago he died at 65 of brain cancer, what an incredibly talented person he was.

Beautiful, I seem to have sawdust in my eye.
Nothing wrong with a little sawdust in the eye every now and then... Thanks for watching

A very thoughtful way of including your father's ashes in your environment in a personal way.
