This is super cool! I like how there's American rigs there, but also a touch of Europe with that Mercedes cabover! This video was really enjoyable to watch
OH MY GOD YESSSS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FORRR 🤩🤩🤩🤩🇨🇷🇨🇷 Feeling incredible to watch your first visit to Latin America and watching a Central America country's national fire department. To be honest, I couldn't believe that Costa Rica had units like this. Awesome and brilliant video, you were incredibly lucky to be able to record this, my friend!!! Thanks for sharing with us this 🇨🇷
Thank you so much my friend!! I’m very glad that you enjoyed it, and trust me I was soooo happy to get awesome footage like this! ☺️😅 Costa Rica was simply awesome (especially the friendliness of the Ticos) and it makes me want to explore more of this part of the world!!
They should buy whatever is behind the station, then knock out the back wall so the trucks can just drive in instead of being forced to back such a huge tanker into the station.
All those Truck look veeery nice. The Mercedes fits the Job of the Semi in there very well. Great shot, and what a luck for you they allowed you access
Just as an update, the M-37 (4:02 and 10:24) is no longer on the Station, its place is taken by the T-13 (it's the station's tanker or tender, it's been there since 2015 if I remember correctly), this one was out for a couple of weeks (maintenance I guess). Excellent catch and Pura Vida!.
Here is a video of the T-13, ruclips.net/video/Ux7tINgAq0o/видео.html (Sorry for the Spam, let me know if you want me to remove the comment), greatings :)
Fire Station in Heredia has another Tanker with a Freightliner Cascadia semi truck... if you have the chance you can go there... If am not mistaken they still have the KNOX from 1910 still on exhibition
Nice rigs, that tanker reminds me of the tanker we had at Eielson AFB, Alaska. I don't remember the capacity ( it was just as huge 5-9 K) in addition it had a rear manned deck gun platform at the rear. I'm glad you got to have a memorable visit!!
Geniales Video! Was für ein riesen Glück, einfach die ganze Hütte zu filmen, unfassbar! :D Aber das Einrücken... uiuiui, da ist auch nach langen Einsätzen nochmal echt Konzentration gefragt :D
impressive turnout and awesome that you went to Costa Rica and were this successfull at the station! I've just returned from a roadtrip to the North Cape, I bet you still remember your station visits in Stockholm and Oslo. Went past some even larger stations in both Sweden and Norway, as well as the northernmost station(s) in Europe
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses it was indeed ^^ Was surprised to see some of the enormous stations in Norway, and also some towns in the Swedish outback have some stations of surprising size. Was also able to see some of the most unique apparatus I've ever known, a Hummmer H1 with IFEX impulse gun extinguishing system mounted on it
What a great video! I love that you got the full house response - that tanker was really cool to see in action. Costa Rica has been on my future travel list for a while - mainly for the birds, but now I see I'll have to add some fire station visits to that (someday) itinerary too!
Thank you Lucas! Oh definitely. I have never been to a place with SO MUCH biodiversity! The amount of wild animals I got to see was incredible. Apart from that, the fire department was amazing as well, very friendly firefighters and awesome vehicles in their fleet! I highly recommend Costa Rica ☺️
Dang in Cosa Rica they don't play with fire over there they get after it! That's Crazy they send so many units just to a house fire. I would be scared to be a fire over there and being drenched in 8,000+ gallons of water
I mean, in cvfd, which is Houston based, we respond 2 engines, 1 ladder, 2 chiefs, and a medic to any reported structure fire as a base response. The last house fire we responded to we had 3 engines, 1 ladder, 3 chiefs and 2 medics

Costa Rica fire dep blongs to the INS, which is the largest inssurance company there, that is why they sponsor the Fire Department, since INS has over the 90% or even more of the inssurance in CR. Their trucks have their logo on them, it said something like Grupo INS. That is the reason why they have the most modern equipment, any where in CR yo go all the Fire station have the most modern equipment, they do not buy second hand trucks, they buy them new tailor made. The Bomberos are a mix of paid and volunteers, they a lot of money they lack nothing, they even have ship in Puntarenas port. If you see an old truck it is because was transferred from another station. Their budget is huge, really huge, on the other hand the EMS is poorer because is run by the red cross, they do not have a sponsor and use thounsands of volunteers to be able to work, they have almost a 100% coverage in the country, instead fire Department aren't everywhere they are found some City and you do not see them in others, it, You saw that many trucks in Cartago because they respond to other cities with no fire stations.
And I thought my local airport tanker truck that follows the crash tenders were big. This thing looks like it could hold 20,000 liters of water given that triple axle trailer.
I keep a (1500) gallon Tender next to my restoration project a 1971 SeaGrave with 750 gallon water tank. We surplus one of are other rigs. I took the Q Siren off of it, mounted the it on front fender of Tender. It just had the Federal PA-300 electronic siren. I Love having two Fire Rigs at my home.
Rookies shouldn't be driving a fire apparatus anyway because rookies don't have the experience and training , only veteran firefighters with plenty of training should be at the wheel.
Man our American apparatus look pretty good there in Costa Rica , too bad that tanker isn't American made cause it just looks so strange having a European vehicle with American vehicles.
American auto manufacturers sell their vehicles in Costa Rica. Most fire trucks are built in regional companies. The cab - chassis are supplied to the equipment maker.
That Freightliner engine was unexpectedly long and unexpectedly a 10/10 for me, what an awsome looking fire engine
I am a retired firefighter with 41 years. Costa Rica has really nice modern equipment.
Thanks for the comment! They sure do 👍🏼
Thank you for your service sir. Its people like you who inspire me to do this.
Their equipment and station actually look very nice
All of their rigs are American apparatus except for that large tanker it's a European made vehicle.
I feel proud to have belonged to the Meritorious Fire Department of Costa Rica 🇨🇷 my heart swells with emotion when I see these machines
Thank you for the comment! Pura Vida! ☺️
Nuestro cuerpo de bomberos provoca mucha admiración, yo aspiro a ser voluntario este año

Lol good idea
I agree or get a shorter tanker unless it is the only tanker they have
All those Truck look veeery nice. The Mercedes fits the Job of the Semi in there very well. Great shot, and what a luck for you they allowed you access
3:50 I noticed that shake lol 😂😂
Great video as always. They got a really cool (and weird, being a mix of American and European vehicles) fleet there!
Chile also has a mix of American and European trucks in their fleet.
lol you got me. Thank you very much! 😁
Chile is another place where I would love to get some footage!
nice catch !! Also the PA300 siren is amazing ! Very clear sound !
Thank you!
Now that is a lot of service vehicles crammed into one tight space! Nice job!
I agree
i thought my local fd tankers were massive. theirs holds about 10 of my local fd tankers thats a hell of a tanker.
Yep, I was shocked 🤣

A Spartan Fire Engine in Costa Rica? That’s Cool!
That‘s right! 👍🏼
That’s a massive fire house looks small but holds a tractor trailer and 4 fire trucks 🤯
I know right?! 😅 It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but then you realize that all the giant machines somehow fit in there haha
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses yeah!😅
Looks like thay are well maintained vehicles.
Yes absolutely. The Costa Rican fire department is very well equipped and seems to take good care of their fleet. 👍🏼

We have no hydrants in my rural district. Im drooling over that 8000 gallon tanker :)
Amazing video Timur! Loved it, glad you had a great time on your vacation.
Thank you Michael!

my county used to have a tanker like that but sadly they sold it as it was too hard for the rookies to drive even when they had a drive through bay

haha great catch!
Lol I got complimentary front row seats to the show… 😜 Thank you!!
Very nice firehouse!!
Excellent Shorts
Thanks!
That was a bad ass Water Tinder and was that a Batt Chief F-150
No the F-150 is an off-road vehicle for wildfires (but I guess they use it as a small pumper as well)
They are units that are used for minor emergencies, and also provide support in vegetation fires, they have a small water tank
I like the ambulances, fire trucks and police cars
great video
Thank you!
awsome clean units i say
Absolutely!
Insane tanker
Hey have you seen the new bronto skylift in Canada I was like 😲 totally crazy
It must go uo to 200 feet or so insane
Pura vida bro 😉, nice video! I live in Cartago, Costa Rica

If firefighters are treated with respect and courtesy they are more apt to return the gesture and no apology is needed for such a difficult angle

Wow, unique tanker it is! Also do you remember me, aka Minh Tri Phan or Tri Phan Minh?😄
I like to see American fire trucks in other countries.
🤣
Those trucks are super new as soon as they were brought last year the first the oldest are the International.
Respect to Costa Rica🇨🇷
8,000 gallons should be 32,000 liters...or, do they only fill it up to 30,000?
The conversion is correct.

Was that a fire siren at 2:15?
Q siren
Why do they have US fire engines and trucks but their very own company tanker?
What do you mean? Mercedes is not a Costa Rican company.
American auto manufacturers sell their vehicles in Costa Rica. Most fire trucks are built in regional companies. The cab - chassis are supplied to the equipment maker.
