Sorry for the obvious cuts in the footage, I had to use free video conversion software and it wouldn't allow me to convert the entire scene without a watermark. Figured putting the clips together was better than giant lettering across the video that blocked most of their faces.

Why would they delete this, this scene was crucial to understanding Kai and so many more people who didn't like Kai would understand why his fans defend him!
Lol there are 2 kais... The new kai is just 50%kai after the merging.... If the merging didn't happen he is still a sociopath who wouldnt think twice killing/torturing innocent children (like his siblings)

A brilliant scene, Chris is amazing. But at the same time, I can understand why they cut it. Kai's character was the guy who is always laughing at something, usually at how funny he thinks he is, and this was too emotionally raw for that kind of blase, it was too serious and self-reflective coming from a psychopath.
i love this scene and i think it would have made a lot of people feel bad for Kai, but you're right, it doesn't fit with his character. He rarely shows strong emotions because he doesn't care, and this scene would just kind of contradict that
I agree with you but its really hard for some people, the viewers to understand just one side of the story and that to us is that he is a sociopathic maniac and with the little info we are given some viewers can see his perspective and his pain but others cant they just think he was born a sociopath when it was his family that made him that way. So I think this would have given us a better understanding and to have some sort of empathy towards him as its kinda hard for us to like someone who we only know as a sociopath x

They are also different from psychopaths because their actions tend to be a result of poor impulse control and they actually have the ability to care for people, but it's limited and/or directed towards a specific person or group. Some are emotionally and/or physically abusive spouses. Some are selfish and insensitive at the worst possible time. The rest are theorized to be able to blend into society so well that no one (even mental health professionals) will ever think twice about them.
And by the way technically this scene came after the merge so he is no longer 100% disconnected from emotion anymore even if he was before so there is the possibility for self reflection like he did in other episodes before the one this would have been in
But he isn't a psychopath he's a sociopath, and the only reason his family considered him a psychopath was because they THOUGHT he had no emotions and they didn't even care for his thoughts/feelings. But I agree with you.

Mael he tried to change himself. He was slowly changing and becoming a better person. But then bonnie and the others trapped him again in the prison world. He was extremely mad so he took it out on the wedding and became his old self

Edits if Kai really wanted to change he could have simply left town after he got out of the prison world for the second time and he could have gotten a chance to start over with people who support him, but no he stayed and killed his pregnant twin sister who has nothing to do with him getting left in the prison world the second time, also Bonnie has the right to do that to Kai since he abused her and left her almost wanting to commit suicide

Because Kai is the bad guy and they don’t want to add a scene where he shows how his emotions to make it seem he is mean and always has been they didn’t want people to see his humanity
@@jocelynrosales727 yeah I totally understand but it's so sad because in this scene we can see how mistreated and unloved he was and how his family was a huge part of him becoming that evil sociopath. It allows us to understand him a bit better.

@@jocelynrosales727 It wasn't his emotions though. This was after he merged with Luke, otherwise Jo would have included him when she mentioned Liv and their dad. Kai himself never had emotions or more precisely he never cared. There was no remorse to his actions. There was no emotion until he and Luke merged.

i love this scene and I wish they hadn't deleted it but I understand why they did . In this scene Kai showed some humanity and I think this scene would have given us hope that Kai is going to change and they didn't want that ...because as we all know , he didn't change into good and he probably never will
I think that if Bonnie forgave him he would have changed. Julie really messed up with Kai ! I really wanted him to become a better person ! He was one of the funniest ,most interesting characters and Chris Wood is just adorable !

That was Luke’s feelings, kai felt nothing. When he merged with luke, lukes emotions went into kai
This scene shows a lot about him being a good person and it would have taken away the hatred everyone had for him so they deleted it👊🏾
He killed his whole family which is why he was sent to the prison world, then he abused bonnie and stabbed her multiple times when she was in there with him, then he attempted to kill liv again, then killed Jo at her own wedding, he’s not a good person. If all he said here was real and not bs he would have just left town to change and not continue.

You mean his dad? His siblings did nothing to him, he killed two of them just for power & to be leader. He even said it himself. And let’s not forget he almost killed liv n luke when they were just little kids n abused Jo, forced her to do something she didn’t want to do. And even when he got out he still wanted to kill his siblings for no reason but for power and to be leader of a damn coven.

This just makes me more aware of his mental state, we all knew Kai was a sociopath, but digging about his past and feelings just makes me think he had antisocial personality disorder. Basically I just hate how they had a great character and decided not to use it, he had a great arc and potential. I honestly think they didn’t use this scene because they already knew they were going to kill him, sad anyways, I would love to see more Kai. And I don’t see why people hate him, he was a villain, of course he was evil and did horrible stuff, that’s the point, he was what saved season 6, that’s it

Yeah no, he IS a bad person. He's a sociopathic killer who had no remorse for what he did. I like Kai, he's my favorite character in fact, but he's still a villain. Feeling outcasted by your family doesn't excuse murder. He brought those years in isolation on himself when he killed his innocent siblings.

I hate that they deleted this. It really showed us a little bit about Kai and it showed that he was actually a good person that could have been redeemed. I feel like if they would have kept this in, less people who hate on Kai. I always think of Kai when I hear that sociopaths aren't born, they're made. Kai became that monster because of how is family treated him as a child and how they hated him for having unique powers.
They always delete the best scenes and scenes that are so powerful. This shows a side of Kai, we rarely get to see. And this made me see kai in a different way, like how he is just someone who has been abandoned, isolated, and treated horribly. He is someone who just needs some type of love. But after how he's been treated and how stubborn he is, it makes him hard to be loved by everyone in TVD
I’m here again because I’m re-watching the vampire diaries ( again ) and I feel so bad for Kai, I mean yeah he’s done a lot of things that most people wouldn’t forgive but people have forgiven many many people in the tvd universe who have done far worse. Kai was a great character and if he had stayed alive I think it would have made the show much more interesting and I would have loved to see more of his backstory and I think we could have seen him grow closer to Jo ( if she was still alive ) and I believe that Kai ( like a lot of other “villains” ) aren’t really villains there just broken people who need help, people who need to be loved. Which is why when Klaus met Caroline and Hayley had hope he changed for the better it was because he finally felt love and I think that’s all Kai needed

see then ppl ask me why i defend him. i don't but this is the reason he did all those horrible things, his family gave him nothing. no love, no protection, no respect they simply as he said , thought he was not worth it. he never received any love of them so he saw his siblings as strangers whom he shared blood with that's why he killed them, to get power, bc he thought the only why for him to receive respect and to be accepted is if ppl feared him. he left bonnie bc he didn't know what love feels like and I feel like with bonnie he started changing. he felt guilt and wanted to fix his mistake by saving her out of the prison world and apologizing but he never got a second chance, as damon, or stefan. they got millions of chances but he never got one. then bonnie stabed him in the back and had to get her stupid revenge bc she wanted him gone and dead for good. after being betrayed he came back and made a fiasco. and yall still ask why? why? idk u tell me

You need a trigger, a reason to become a sociopath and his parents put him aside when he was very young because they were scared of what he might do instead of at least, try to help him like decent parents. He was already unstable but for me, the trigger was the his parents treated him.
People loved Klaus and Demon even after they killed so many innocent people around them but they got everyone's sympathy because their suffering and pain was showcased entirely but Kai never got that same apple. His life suffering were never shown to the audience. If they would have, I'm sure kai would have been as popular and loved by people like klaus and Demon and others.

I heard that This scene was meant to be his first step for redemption . Bonnie and Kai was meant to be together like enemies to lovers type and they wanted to cast him but then Chris wood got casted in another show so it didn't happen .
