This is a great collection of proper trains Darren, the days when we didn't know what loco was going to be coming into the stations, loved the stock too.
Leeds was a great stomping ground with age of the West Yorkshire Day Rover. Leeds to Dewsbury, jumping off , running over bridge to get the return just to clock up the haulage miles behind the Peaks & Brushes, with the occasional 37 & 40 thrown in. Also at Leeds you never knew what mailtrain would be if you lucky enough to be out that late. Thanks for memories @MrDeltic15
You're very welcome. Leeds was a fair old trip for me back then, but the journey there and back would also produce some interesting stuff too of course. All very different at Leeds these days.
Great video. I was probably there at Leeds! Was always the usual suspect locos coming through and always a 31 or 47 on platform 1 ready to take the parcel train. Even footage of the Tilcon freight!
What was 47583 doing at Doncaster? With NSE Mk 1 stock. A CrossCountry relief? And the 31. That looked like a Cambridge/Kings Lynn set, but where might it have come from?
Truly great retro footage Darren. Loved the glimpses of the "Generators"

Just look at the old Leeds with spotters everywhere,I wish it was like that now!
Excellent step back in railway history Mr Deltic 15.
