I remember this drama movie called John Q about a kid who is terribly ill but the parents can't afford the surgery to saves his life, so the father decides to enter the hospital with a gun and keep the doctors hostage. Always wondered how much of that drama is accurate (like the money needed for surgery, whether the illness the kid had is real and whether the ending makes sense from a realistic point of view).

@@vikingstrongman1063 I totally get why it might be difficult for you to watch, but as someone who isn’t autistic but loves someone who is, I really appreciate that they show those moments. It’s the sad reality and I think it brings some awareness. Unfortunately, if they showed him being treated like everyone else 100% of the time, it wouldn’t be realistic to the life experience that I’m sure you’re familiar with. Society still has a long way to go in how we treat people of all walks of life, and exposure of the problems is the first step to fixing them. 💜

Yeah, I'm really focused on linguistics and grammar (Particularly English), love to read and write, love stories and how stories are a major part of just about every form of entertainment we have (Music, books, movies, video games, even paintings and drawings can tell stories in their own ways), and I am enamored with different stories and mythology from various cultures (Particularly Asian cultures, but I also love stories, myths, and folklore from my ancestral ties in Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Russia, Wales, etc.).
We're different, but we can be just as passionate, knowledgeable, skilled, and capable as anyone else. Our struggles are our own, but sometimes the world needs a different perspective to solve the big problems out there. Some people see square pegs and round holes, others see how you can turn the issue on its side or on its head to expose a better solution to a hard problem.

"he may be autistic but he is very smart" was kind of a poor turn of phrase. as someone who has autism, and suffered for many years coming to terms with that during highschool, i felt i should at least mention for anyone watching who might take that phrase poorly, that no, your not "wrong" or "broken" you are just different, you excel at certain things other people don't, and you lack in areas those same people don't. the only difference is that with autism you have the same skills and deficits as a large group of people and that its not just random.

And that is truth on the spike of a marlin that thing is dangerous. Any ocean fishers who try to catch those will know that as, like a deer antler or bull horn, it is a sharp tip that is like a spear. And so if it lunges out of the water or coming out forward toward you look out. I saw a video of such happen to a father and his two kids where the teenage son was reeling it in and it sprung out of the water and squirming left and right in the air and the protrusion of the marlin actually jabbed into his mouth into the back of it and his jawline hinge of his mandible. And since it was writhing in the air, it was slashing left and right inside hitting his pallet and cutting near the area where the esophagus connects to the mouth. And they were rushing to the hospital with the boat and he was bleeding out of the mouth and laying down on the side of his face. Luckily he was saved and that it could have been worse and inflicted worse trauma had it not been for the marlin falling into the back end of the boats railing which bounced it back and it prevented the long appendage from continuing forward from the momentum of it lunging out. Which had it flew over, missing the railing, it would have plunged deeper and possibly more upward which could have pierced the roof of the mouth and hit the bottom of the skull.

I had A question. are you able to brake away from being a doctor while or when watching TV like a medical show or do watch other programs
Because I'm a chef and I spot things in tv or just real life I'm like Don't do that and it's like a just automatic me picking things up and watching what people do

The MRI scene makes no sense.
    1. You don't turn the magnetic field on and off. It's always there. There is an emergency shutdown which vents the helium. Costs in the 10s of thousands to replace and restart the machine.
    2. No MRI technician would allow an unknown body in the room without scanning it for metal.
    3. The metal wouldn't burst out of the fish. It might drag the fish in though. The danger comes from: ferromagnetic objects becoming projectiles, hitting at high speed (eg. coins); getting trapped and crushed between the coil and a large object (eg. Bed); a combination of the two (eg oxygen tank, wheelchair).

Bit late to the party on this video. But if you happen to see this. I'd love your opinion on the korean drama this show is inspired by. In that one he's strictly pediatric. It is subtitled however no dub.

If I had studied to be a doctor, I would definitely not become a surgeon, I don't really want to have surgery on humans, it's not very cool, blood, meat, etc.

He may be autistic, BUT he is super smart. People who have autism aren't dumb or have lower intellect cause they are autistic. I know you didn't mean disrespect, but as a mom to an autistic child, it hurts when I hear comments like this. Thank you for your show and all you do. I have nothing but respect for you, I just wanted to let you know how you phrase things like this can effect others💗

I had intercostal neurology. It was painful to lie on my left side, take a deep breath, lift or do something with my left hand and run. I was prescribed an ointment that I smeared every time it started to hurt just like that. What dangers or what could happen during this if I didn't smear, but just endured the pain?
