Every time I listen to this I am transported to being 14 again back in houston with no friends, skating countless miles every day just to occupy myself. Looking at the landscape slowly pass by as this melancholy tune shapes the coming years of loneliness and growth.

I saw him before the show and told him I was there for him and come the time they were on the stage, the lead singer held me and sang to me. It was pure magic and to this day it's one of my fondest memories

Zakk2Gud they are. I really love these guys. No point to judge them at all. They make the most phenomenal and relaxed music ever. Like bigger ups tiny downs. That's how much I like them.
Really like this use of major seventh chords. I love major sevenths in general but I haven't heard anything else use them to express this particular emotion
i think their use of that pitched up, chirpy wammy guitar tone on this album makes them sound much more like a lullaby. that might be why the chords sound so unique :)
I've got to say, after discovering this song and then the rest of Deerhunter's discography, they are now my favorite band of the 2000's onwards. If you haven't bought this album and Microcastle, you are missing out on a lot of great music
Take my hand and pray with me My final days in company The devil now has come for me And helicopters circling the scene [Verse 2] And I pray for rest Could you pray for us? I'm almost sure its pains too it would be so stupid to be "I'm tired of my cave" but that's what the album inside folds say. I still read and sing pains
