I am a man 47 years old, and had not heard a long time so much good music, totally retro, indie, very original grunge recalls music of the 60s, is excellent.
ok guys, i spend a lot of time watching and listening this video, so 00:00 Desire lines 07:44 Fountain stairs 11:22 Helicopter/He would have laughed 29:45 Memory boy
I love the avant-garde editing with the interview in between songs instead of at the very beginning or end. Brings the energy of the perfromance to a screeching halt in between each song. Brilliant editing decision. NOT!!
Or rather, it would be their best performance if the energy of the show wasn't brought to a screeching halt by putting the lame "interview" questions in between the songs instead of at the beginning or end of the video. Some real avant-garde editing from Spinner. Bradley looked absolutely thrilled to be answering the same generic questions he's been asked a thousand times already. Brilliant decision by the editor. Bravo!
@@Peyote1312 haha man I remember first hearing about Beach House around 06-07 and wasn't impressed. By 2012, was dating a hipster chick who'd seen them and Grizzly Bear at the same show. Finally gave them another shot after the Bloom album. good stuff
I looked them up on Wikipedia and the genres used to describe them seemed pretty close but I was surprised to not see shoegaze as one. They sound like Ride to me. (That's not meant to diminish them, btw.)
They’re definitely shoe gaze no question about it, especially adding duplicate guitar lines with different layering effects. If bradfords tremolo strumming on memory boy isn’t shoegaze then I don’t know what is! They just have other influences as well in the jangle pop vein
do you have a better quiality visdeo for this session????, or the silversun pickups black keys the heavy sessions in thge interface the quality are very very poor, i remember this sessions was available in 480 p 16:9 format
Why break up the flow of the performance with the lame "interview" questions in between each song?? How about we put the interview at the very beginning or end of the video? I mean, the questions weren't even well thought out or interesting. Just your run of the mill questions like "what inspired u to do x,y, or z?" Wow, so original. Thanks for ruining the flow of the performance witth those truly insightful questions. Bradley looked abaolutely thrilled to be answering the same questions he's already been asked countless times lol. Brilliant decision by the editor to put the lame interview in between the songs instead of before or after the performance. Bravo!
RIP Josh Fauver!

This is probably their best performance online right now.
It is

Peak-era DH. How I miss it, and Hazel St.

Saw them live in Chicago in 2013. One of the best three rock concerts I'd ever attended.
what were the other 2?
@@vanishing_girl Radiohead in 98 and Beach House in 2015
I saw Beach House in 2012 before they were "mainstream".
Pssh. Frickin posers.

Brilliant. All of the songs are good, but Helicopter/He Would Have Laughed is transcendent.
Great band. Love 'em.

yearoftherat He died in 2018.

AHAHAH bradford's answer to the questions about being prolific is fucking amazing
Beautiful performance

well dream pop and shoegaze are used pretty much interchangeably and imo they are pretty much the same thing
@@lazer3548 oh yeah
this is more neo psych than shoegaze tho

plain awesome :D
I like this song most in Halcyon Digest. Lockett is also the really good singer.
Anyone know what that Chinese song factory he's talking about actually is?
It's a joke lol
these guys really remind me of The Pixies
How? They're way different.
maybe because the outro of desire lines is very similar to "no 13 baby" 's outro
Stone Roses to me...
hi dear hunter
What's with the band mates haha. They all look so bored for the interview
Michael Lawrence They probably were ha
is there a higher quality of this set somewhere?
