how this happened:
method b self destruct started
the actual shutdown event (the one supposed to happen during meltdowns) started mid way
the self destruct event script overrided it and then blew up after the set time

so bassicly after the core shutsdown, the reactor still detects a threat and uses its last resort, which is to destroy the whole facility

once shutdown is complete, the facility detects an "unknown anomaly" which will activate a "code purple directive" which is also known as self destruct note there are actualy 2 vairiants of this
