Newen Afrobeat are such an amazing band. If you enjoyed this definitely give them a search on RUclips. Lots of great performances. And you can always go back to the source and check out Fela Kuti. He was sort of like an political African James Brown of sorts (that description doesn't really do him justice honestly 😂) He was a truly fascinating figure who spawned his own genre of music.
After watching this I had to do some research. This song was originally released in 1976 and it was a direct criticism of the Nigerian government and its military at the time. Seun Kuti was attacked at his home behind this song and was injured. This is my first time hearing this and it's amazing. This video is different than the original recording. I love this.
Not Seun kuti but Fela Kuti. His house was raided by the military causing a lot of damage & injuring a lot of the residents. House was also burnt, in the chaos his mother fell from a window and died from her injuries. The excuse was they were just following orders hence the term analogy Zombie
Hey Maddy! I appreciate the talent and musicality of this song, not something I would choose for myself. However, I don't dislike it. Thanks for sharing! And, of course, you are stunning! ✌️☮️🎵🎼🎶❤️

This band is great!!!!
React to the original too. Fela is unmatched, even by his offsprings. Femi Kuti came close. Great reaction 😘😊
Some amazing rhythms going on. I suspect Fela Kuti influenced Talking Heads with that urgent and nervous counter rhythms.
He literally did, look into it!
Drummer with a wide smileTY!
I liked the name cheese steak! That's awesome.the music was good too!
❤Cheese steak, what else needs to be said😝
This song caused the Nigerian army to throw Fela Kuti's mother out of a window. That's compression.
Oh wow!!!
