Chelsea, I am so glad you popped up in my feed. I love your tutorial. I am starting to make those dish drying mat bags. Thanks a lot. Love the realness and your originality. Keep being you dont change.😊❤
I was taught when sewing on the binding to stop the quarter inch from the end but instead of a back stitch, needle down, turn and sew off the corner. Cut the thread, position binding like you showed but those few stitches to the corner will help guide binding on both sides nice and straight. Love your videos. Can’t wait for my stickers to arrive.
You know you really brighten my day. Thank you for the video on miter corners I struggle with them sometimes, but I do OK. By the way, your eyes are beautiful today I love the way you did your make up!
I have been sewing for many years, however, I don’t quilt. I watched you video on the table runner that was fall on one side and summer on the other and something finally clicked! I will be trying it very soon. Thanks for showing me how to miter the corners!
Hi Chelsea. I enjoy watching your tutorials & learning fun sewing projects from you. I love your humor & positivity that you share with your followers. It's infectious & so needed in the world today, so thank you for spreading positivity! I have noticed when you sew your projects you consistently advise to backstitch, which is very much needed & well advised, but you only say to backstitch one or two stitches. I hear others advise backstitch one inch. So my question to you is, what is overkill & what is considered the perfect amount for a backstitch? The purpose of a backstitch is to lock the stitch in place but I personally don't think one or two stitches is enough, yet feel one inch is a bit overkill. Haha Just thought you could include this subject matter in one of your tutorials as a somewhat interest for others as well. Thank you for your videos. I have much respect for your talents Chelsea!
I used to be afraid of binding quilts, I always pulled the back over the front, but over the past few years, I'm not afraid of binding, I do it just like you.
I would love to see how you use your binding tool (from the stitch supply) and how to match the front and back when attaching a t-shirt quilt together (without it looking wonky). 😂. Thank you for all the tips!
A tip I got from a lady at a quilt show was to Not backstitch as you begin the next side. She said it causes what she called a picket fence. So if you're having trouble making that corner look pretty, try that.😊 Thanks Chelsea ❤
I have tried this so many times, but still can't quite get it right when I'm folding it out....they seem to always end in round corners rather than sharp.

I was taught the same thing about 25 years ago! This IS the easiest and fastest way!

This was sooooo helpful! I always learn better seeing it being done.
Glad it was helpful!
And mitered corners are a must if you make quilts😊
Thank you.😊
I would love to see how you hand stitch the binding on the back.
Thank you
I've always used a blind hem stitch for the binding backs. A stitch in the ditch from the front never looks good on my backings.

Gorgeous fabrics!
Thank you, as always, for the tutorial!
I absolutely love your videos! Keep them coming, please. 😊
Love the pins you have on.😊
Thank you 😁

So helpful!
By the way, LOVE your hair color!!
Thank you so much
Love all the broaches since your sleepy time buying spree. 😊
😂😂😂
An easy way to connect binding strips would be great!
I would love to see a video on quilt borders with mitered corners. That’s where I have the most difficulty
I'm curious if you could tell me what material is used to put on the wall to make fabric stick to it. I see everyone have one and want one

Thanks Chelsea ❤
Could you show how to do the other side too?
👍
Thank you Chelsea. QUESTION? How wide should you have your binding??
I like 2.5 inches!
@@shesewsseams Thank you so much!
It's the sewing down the other side of that corner that is the tricky part, so both sides are mitered.
Chelsea, Can you please do a video on how to make a binding tape instead of store bought?
Should we make some bias tape today?! #sewing #tutorial #sewingdiy

Can you show us how to use a zipper foot? Do you press one side against the zipper and sew on the other side or vice versa?
How did you quilt the top to the back on this particular quilt? I did not see any quilt stitching on the front.
Do you ever machine sew your binding instead of hand when finishing the binding? My mind wants to handsew, sadly my fingers say not today 😢
💗💗💗😊
Is there an easy shirt beginner pattern?
I figured out how to miter corners but the whole connecting them together, I am always off a bit ugh😮
I'm new to sewing. Is there an easy way to know where 1/4 is to know where to stop sewing?
I can do that. I have trouble is when you turn over . I can not get it to look good.
I have tried this so many times, but still can't quite get it right when I'm folding it out....they seem to always end in round corners rather than sharp.
how to join binding that is an exact measure
So what is
