I love how thorough you are in describing and comparing it to the Dyson physically, but to be honest I expected much more detail on your first impressions of your *hair* with it. So far all I really took from it is that you had a bit more frizz, but after that you really didn’t say much about YOUR perception of your hair compared with the Dyson. Even as a first impression - they’re important! Seeing it on camera from a distance is one thing, but only *you* can describe for us the subtle (or not so subtle) differences in texture, hold, how much you had to work for your volume, etc. I usually truly get SO MUCH from your videos and was honestly surprised that you didn’t say much at all. I was hoping this would be the video that would let me order it tonight, since I know many of us have been waiting last week with excitement building up!

I have THREE blow dryers! LOL. I keep refining what I need. When shopping for my latest one on Amazon, I was looking for something light and small, with a diffuser I liked. I did find one that doesn't cause me a lot of pain like the other heavier, longer barrel ones did. It works okay and I like the options with fan and heat. It was only like $25, I think. I canNOT get a fourth blow dryer, lol! I'm going to try that halo diffusing tomorrow. My hair takes sooooo long to dry, even though it's fine and low-density. Great sciency video, Courtney!
Curious on dry time compared to dyson and other brands. Would love ❤️ to cut my dry time down. It takes my thick hair FOREVER to dry. So I’m really hoping the dupe will be a good choice.
The reason why it gets so much hotter is because the motor is actually in the top portion of that dryer and all those metal components near the nozzle where the air is coming out gets super hot which is why a traditional dryer tends to damage your hair more especially if your round brushing your hair or doing a blowout because of those metal components are super hot unlike the dyson and causes more hair damage due to heat.
It looks to me like the dupe is just a normal blow dryer put into a case that looks like a Dyson case. Other than the shorter barrel, I don’t see an advantage of this one over a regular dryer. The Dyson is ridiculously expensive. You can get one about half price on eBay if you don’t mind waiting about 3 weeks for shipping. Then its only absurdly expensive. 🙄

I got one because it was supposed to have a diffuser. Mine didn’t contain one. When I complained to paypal, was told to return at my cost to the seller. Cost was higher than just keeping the damm thing.
I found a dupe on ebay for one, but the plug didnt stay in the wall at all and even though the watts were more than the one I currently had (not a dyson) it had less air pressure than the one I had with less watts!! I ended up getting my money back thank god and I tossed that one in the garbage!

My Revlon has a low heat setting which is really no heat then a medium heat which I found to be pretty hot the next is high heat. I'd like a dryer with an actual low heat setting. When you checked the temp was it the low on each one or high? I have the same set of thermometers I'll have to check what mine is.

As a professional they dyson is better, trust me I wanted to hate it but working in a environment where a good blow dryer saves me time which makes me money it’s better. It’s faster and smoother finish. It’s still a crazy price to be paying and I hope there are companies who get on the band wagon and make same types of blow driers without the hefty tag. You did a video recently where you were using your Dyson and your husband put magnets on an xtava diffuser so it would work with the Dyson. Can you (or he) go into more detail about how y’all did that? I love my Dyson especially on straight hair days and I have been using the Dyson with the diffuser it came with since I got it. But I do miss the way I was able to put so much of my hair into the xtava diffuser. You said your husband put magnets on it? I think you said something about you tried super glue but it didn’t work. But then he tried something else. I don’t really remember all the details. And I can’t remember which video I saw that in. What kind of magnets did he use? How does it work for you? It stays attached and everything? Anyway hope you see this since this video is about a month and a half old and I don’t even know how hold that other video was. I just came upon it recently.
LOL! I was kinda focused on the ring too. I ended up having to buy my hubby a duplicate of his wedding band, he lost it in my easy chair once for 6 months (I found it when I pulled it's cover off to wash it) and once under our bed for a week! 🤣🤣🤣 Now he keeps the spare in the car in case he walks out of the house without it. 😏 I don't usually misplace mine because I have a set place it goes as soon as I walk in the door.
Bought the MANLI in December 2019 as of February 2020 it is no longer working. Fan seizes up and it over heats. I have to blow into it to get it to work. Then it only stays on for a second or two and stops working again. Contacted company waiting for a response.

Hi Courtney, I have a question for you or anybody out there starting CGM. I have been doing curly girl for about 2 months now and I got a perm about 2 week before starting CGM. I am noticing now that I am losing CLUMPS of hair. Like when I comb conditioner through my hair with my fingers, I have wads of hair in my hands or in my wet brush. I also notice clumps of hair in my drain when washing hair. Is this normal? Am I just losing damaged hair? Is this something that Olaplex would fix? Did this or is this happening to anyone else out there. I use Tre Luxe products. HELP!
When we don't wash our hair daily and don't brush it daily, we will have a lot more noticeable hair loss in our hands and showers, because it's not being removed daily. We all lose 100-150+ strands of hair each day, so if we're not washing and brushing it out, it will all come out at once when we wash and detangle, which can be shocking. If your hair is not thinning or developing bald spots, then what you're experiencing is normal.
Totally agree with Princess Pea! But I will add that Olapex should help if you have had a perm. It would be worth trying for sure. I had a perm when I was younger and I lost wads of hair too. But my hair was breaking off mid shaft because the perm damaged it so badly. Yikes!
Negative ion therapy is psuedoscience and does (literally) nothing. It's honestly just a marketing gimmick using words that sound intelligent to the consumer. Yes, this blow dryer works well but that's because of the temperature range and the high rate of air flow from the blower in the hair dryer. Only thing that kinda sucks with this dryer is the weight the and noise.

Bought a doop, was almost exactly like the dyson and after one use the diffuser came apart. Was refunded my money and didn’t have to send it back.
