      The explanation begins around :38 seconds. Just use a pair of scissors to trim off the face, cut off the apron underneath, then cut away the gills under the shell. You can also dig out any gray or green colored fat with your fingers (that's the stuff that makes them gamey). Hope that helps.

    This looks delicious. But I thought the smaller female crabs are illegal to catch, since they need time to spawn.?

      Absolutely. As long as it's cleaned well (gills and front removed) before cooking, you eat the whole thing. Good on toasted poboy bread, too.

      Another little tip: the fat inside can sometimes have an intense flavor. Go ahead and take it out before cooking for a sweeter flavor. Good luck, after the first one, you'll feel like a master chef!

    Why wouldn't you clean them on camera 🤦🏾‍♀️
