    Where can you buy soft shell crab? I went to an Asian supermarket and bought some blue crab wrapped in a package. Only when I came home did I realized they were hard shell. 🤣🤣🤣

    • @fredfishandcook
      @fredfishandcook  Месяц назад

      😂 I am staying in Singapore so got them from a local crab farm that sells soft shell crab. I guessed you have to read carefully the next time you go to the supermarket. Your experience is kind of funny, thanks for sharing! Hope you still find ways to eat the Blue Crab, they are also very nice but a bit more tedious to eat them 😜

    • @George-f8h
      @George-f8h Месяц назад +1

      @@fredfishandcook The crab was packaged with the shells upside down, so I couldn't feel the shells. I thought all blue shell crabs were soft shell. Only later did I learn they have to be caught at a certain time when they are naked. I really wanted to fry them. My plan was to salvage them by making soup, but I was too lazy to cook them. My wife said the crab smells fishy, so we threw them away. 🤣🤣🤣

    • @fredfishandcook
      @fredfishandcook  Месяц назад

      @@George-f8h 😆😆😆 they should not smell too fishy 😝 if you remove the gills, wash and clean them, they are excellent for stir fry as well. We cut them up to half pieces and cook with curry powder or Chinese style with soy sauce and spring onion. Tasty 😋
