We just got done paying Malzahn and we’re still paying Harsin 😂. Freeze is a top tier coach. Give him the keys and give him time. If AU produces on the field this year we’ll see em poach a good QB. Hank Brown will be ready anyway but we have to get a QB, may as well go look for a diamond or take a mid tier QB and hopefully you can develop them. They’d be behind 2 Freshmen anyway.
If you look at Mike Shula's recruiting classes, they don't compare to Saban's classes or DeBoer's 1st class. Alabama was in a nosedive until Saban took over, partly due to NCAA penalties'.

DeBoer will continue to win 10-11-12 wins a season. And make playoffs. The effect to players choosing AU to UA will be very minimum. Auburn admins wanted a discount rack coach and got one. And stop with the playing in the SEC hype. Huepel won ten his second year at UT, Kiffin won ten at Ole Miss. The same expectation should be at Auburn, and we are hoping for 7.

Aub will always be a slightly above the middle of the pack team in the SEC. Will go to SEC title game about once every decade...sometimes twice.
But now we have two other top tier teams in Texas and OU join the conference. And Georgia is on a generational high, probably for another 15 years.
I think Auburn will have some exciting wins, will beat Bama a handful of times, but I think their fortunes will be relegated to more 7-9 win seasons in the future. They will always have emotional equity in Bama losing as much as them winning.
@@mr.g1758 if you add Oklahoma and Texas together they have 15 undefeated seasons. Auburn has 12. Auburn has a national championship more recently than Oklahoma or Texas.
