The R50 dock is great when mounted. I love that while the R50 is in the dock, it will automatically come on when the power goes out. the Pro, not having a strong magnet, does kill it for me. Thanks for pointing out the weak magnet. I was thinking about getting another and feel I will stick with the R50. Thanks for the review
I've seen a number of vids on this new Olight. I'd be embarrassed to tell you how many, but I'm cheap and wanted to know whether it was worth it. Yours was far and away the best because you took the time to compare and contrast how this new Seeker 2 was different from its predecessor the R50 Seeker. Great job. Thanks. I just had to buy one.
So far this is the only review that cleared me the magnet “issue”. For me its a killer not being able to hold horizontally. I was about to get it, now i don’t and dont get me wrong. I love olight. Great review.
I will not get it because the magnet is not strong enough. I use my flashlights magnet all the time at work and at home.. This weak magnet kills the light for me.
didn't mention that seeker 2 goes from 3200 to 600 in overheat mode vs. 3200 to 1000 for the R50. That's huge. 400 lumens difference??? THat's huge!! Rather keep the R50 for that reason alone. 600lms is a joke.
Good review and I appreciate the comparison with the R50. I received the Seeker 2 yesterday and am impressed. No regrets. Charger compatibility with other Olights is a huge advantage for me. In a perfect world it would have a bit more throw, but as a flood it’s simply marvelous.
shame it didnt came with sst20 leds instead as it was rumored.. or a neutral tint i would have prefered but im sure its still a nice olight like always, nice that they adopted the led lights that shows how much battery and what mode u are on like on the x9r.. hope to see other makers do similar stuff so u dont have to guess how much battery etc u have left.
Can anyone offer an opinion on the Olight Seeker 2 pro vs the wowtac A5? I understand wowtac is a "budget" light, but I do have one and the quality is very good. I own several Olights so I know the quality. I also have a Klarus XT11 GT. Great quality and 3000 lumens as well. I'm referring just trying to decide on whether or to get the Seeker 2 pro. If there's is enough difference between them to drop $110 on it. I just haven't been able to find any videos that compare them. The added bells and whistles on the Seeker 2 Pro I'm not concerned about. I can clearly see they offer more than the 2 lights I mentioned. I guess what I'm really interested in the beam differences. The Wowtac has the just about the same lumens and beam distance. Does the Seeker have a fighter beam say the same distance? Sorry for what is a wordy and probably confusing post.
Great comparison, I also have the R50 and looking at the Seeker 2 as a secondary torch so I can charge one while using the other. What I wanted to know as I really like the original dock/cradle, will the new seeker 2 charge in the old cradle?
Boy am I glad I have the R50 Pro instead,I like the color rendition better ,I don't need lights to let me know power levels or power remaining.i don't like the steps, to low because of moonlight which I don't need.400 lumens is a favorite not 300.weak magnet, no thanks.im sure the R50 runs cooler.and I have no trouble with it in my pockets.
some people complained the r50 is a little bulky.. i should know i have the r50 copper that weights half a kilogram lol :D but i love that light... maybe i will buy this soon too ... :P
Not one of these reviews I've read tells the truth about the very poor run times on turbo it's only 3200 lumens for 2 minutes and then down to 600 lumens, This is terrible performance for a brand new Flashlight...
Great comment. So Olight is conservative with their run times that are listed on their flashlights. If you join my facebook group that is in this video's description, THEN you can view the link below, you will see where i have posted an end user's measured output run times. m.facebook.com/groups/753200584890691?view=permalink&id=1020627784814635
The performance is there, the reason it steps down so quick is temperature. You just can’t physically run that amount of lumen for long periods of time without burning the interior in such a small body...

I always enjoy real comparison videos and yours is done very well thank you for the hard work

Good point!

Good review, liked the magnet comparison. Good to know as was just about to buy in their latest flash sale.
I don't often like music in youtube videos but I did enjoy your choice of piano :-)
Thanks to your review, I’ll be sure to buy one or two of these Olight flashlights 🔦. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

It is a wonderful, pocketable, flood light with great output.
Great review
Thanks for your review
Great vid man, looks like the Seeker 2 has a warmer tint, also i hope it doesnt have the tint shift like the R50 Seeker Pro.
Great video 👌🏻‼️
painful to watch the drop over and over but also love it because screw it they're meant to be used.

Not sure I like the new mounting system.....in reference to mounting in a vehicle.
Does this mean I bought a good light?
Maybe, what light did you get?

Nice job!!!!
hey guys, whats the average charge time from a dead battery to fully charged, on this torch, and the m2r warrior
Great comparison, I also have the R50 and looking at the Seeker 2 as a secondary torch so I can charge one while using the other. What I wanted to know as I really like the original dock/cradle, will the new seeker 2 charge in the old cradle?
No. The lights are different diameters.
@@StoneEDCReviews Thanks, especially for such a prompt reply, I think I might buy a second R50 then. Cheers from Australia.

@@StoneEDCReviews vous la trouver plus puissante la seeker 2 pro
The smaller magnet is a deal killer,
Glad I could help you be informed!!!
Skybien?🤔
Skyben.Trade it is an Amazon store. If you click the link in the video description you will see the seller is skyben
4:50 it hurts
I love my R50....its only downfall is the parasitic battery drain 😢
The seeker pro has alot of great features and the battery is much better 21700. It might be time to upgrade
Damn. I think that I will replace my bicycle front light with The Olight Seeker 2 Pro flashlight.
Bike mount www.olightstore.com/olight-fb-1-bike-mount.html
I use the Seeker R50 with the bike mount above, it's a nice set up.
I have one seeker pro. i like its design but its light beam so bigger. i hope can make its a little light beam or austere. mybe i will get its.☝😀👍.
like this..
The fact that it won't even run on normal batteries is just rediculous.

@@kims2r I don't have any of these problems with my ThruNite tc20, it's brighter and runs for long time on Turbo..
