The Scotty version is the first I ever heard, that ratchet in the percussion then the guitar look and of COURSE the bass are fire !!!
There are some nice versions but Scotty's is the one! It's on the 'The Harder They Come' soundtrack.

Listening to the original "Stop that Train" gets me now. I always expect the bit from Easy Ride but it's never there.
@Jalea Humana 1:24 easy ride by the crystalites, it's literally the same song but with that tone instead of lyrics. I always expect that tone to be in the song

I got given to me the Jimmy cliff record The Harder They Come - the soundtrack to the film The Harder They Come starring Jimmy Cliff , epic film massive epic soundtrack. so the record also signed by Jimmy Cliff and several other name cant make out.
My question is ,
the first song on record SCOTTY. Draw Your Brakes.. what is the first line spoken at the very start. im not Jamaican, ive asked one jamaican friend hey could not make it out either. Sounds like Forward and fiaka manackle den go saka.) but obviously i sound crazy. if u look on youtube scotty draw your brakes u can play it yourself and try figure it lol. its in this video but its split in 2 seperate parts at the 5m1sec and 5m23sec

This is why Scientist is totally wrong about analog. That white noise distortion as the skank saturates the tape. The whole thing so soft - nothing you can replicate using compression settings.

As them Man them would say "Man alive !!!", great mix ! As a bass player who has played all sorts of reggae, I want to concentrate on the feel of these old tracks, the dancehall era took us far far away, I'm going Ba k to the ridmic roots a it !!!
