My joints wouldn’t allow for something like this but seeing your postpartum journey is amazingly inspiring. I like to walk around and I think it’s important to find the kinds of exercises you like and are within your ability and doing them regularly that makes a difference. You’re really going for it and I’ll be here cheering you on!
Treshold running is rather zone 3-4 instead of 4-5. The second ventilatory treshold or lactate/anaerboc treshold is at the crossing of 3 and 4. Or are you talking about more zones than 5?
Have you ever looked at original CrossFit programming? There's running all over the place: 400's, 5k's, even 10k's. Gyms stopped programming running, because members like you didn't show up for it. So, don't even try blame CF methodology for the fact that you can't run.
Why would I look at the original CrossFit programming when I no longer really do CrossFit and when I did I did classes that are currently being run. Funny that you say “members like me” because I used to cross country run and run a lot for athletics. It wasn’t until I started CrossFit and started doing less running that I started to hate running. If CrossFit included more running I probably would have loved it. I’m not blaming the CrossFit methodology for the fact I couldn’t run. I blame the fact I didn’t run (because I was more focused on CrossFit) for the fact I couldn’t run. Powerlifting also doesn’t include running. That doesn’t make it bad. Chill the f out.
@@sportybeth You're blaming CrossFit, yet again, for your lack of running. This time, you're even doubling down on it, claiming that CrossFit led you to hate running. The reason you should look at original CrossFit programming is so that you'd see actual CrossFit programming includes a lot of running. The 5k run is the most programmed wod over the history of main site programming. But you keep on claiming it doesn't and blaming CrossFit for the fact that you can't run. I can only conclude you just want to drag CrossFit with this falsehood. What you did in your gym, in a real sense, was not fully CrossFit. Again, individual gyms decided to leave running out of their programming, because members, like you, didn't want to do it. When running was programmed at affiliates, gym members like you didn't show up. That's not CrossFit. That's the decision of particular gyms.
"knee pain when you start running isn't evidence based" that's totally not true, you call yourself a coach and you are telling people that?! There's plenty of evidence for beginners getting short term injuries from various things poor shoes, poor technique, doing too much too fast etc etc I think you might be getting mixed up with does running leave you with bad knees the answer to that being evidence suggests your knees will be overall stronger for running rather than developing arthritis.
No I’m pretty sure that’s not what I said. The idea that running causes knee injuries is not evidence based. As you say knees are generally made stronger by running. People’s individual bodies might be affected differently by different types of training so you really can’t say wether or not someone will have knee pain or wether that knee pain is from injury or not
Thank you for this. You have absolutely no idea how much these videos encourage, inspire and reassure.
Aww no worries at all 🥰🥰

What app did she use to track running

Zone 4 is threshold, zone 5 is maximal/anaerobic. If I said otherwise I just miss spoke.
Pavlov's dog… that rings a bell 🤣 (I hope someone enjoys this terrible pun)
Hahaha omg brilliant. Love a bad pun
