This isn't a how to fix video. This is a "how to prevent a zipper from coming apart in the future" video. But it is not a video to fix the zipper.
It's great advice though!!! You know, using stitching or the short term safety pin method, I love it!
It would be great to see a video of actually fixing a zipper:
1) in a jammed state
2) half of zipper apart from other side
3) fine-tuning a zipper after repair.
(so after getting the bags' zipper working, to avoide a repeat problem, tightening etc)
I do understand what you mean about the idea of having two separate designs from Coleman. For me, my sons' recreation bag is a fold out type. Regardless, your current video didn't stop me for making a few mistakes when trying to fix it. Heh-heh.
I wish I had recorded my zipper repair but it would be nice to have a how-to-fix, or more specifically maybe a "before you start" preamble . Or maybe call it a "what not to do first" section.
Cuz now I find myself with a pair of mini spring pliers putting on the little clasp at the head end of the bag.
'twas never necessary for me to take the clasp off in the first place.
Oh well, I'll learn.

Thanks bud , I’ve watched both of your videos on this bag . I can’t agree more and had to use bank line to fix the zipper problem . It is a perfect top quilt for hammock camping as well but I sleep on my bed the same way you do . My wife ran off long ago but the bag is all I need for sleeping in 55* heated room . Easy to care for and wash ! You are not laying on it ,crushing the insulation and if you spin in your sleep , like a caught pike, as I do it stays fluffed up ! Scores . It is the best $40. I’ve spent almost two years ago ! Thanks 🙏
Mine is still going strong! I keep it out at camp and use it at least three times per week. I have been comfortable in temps down to the mid-20s already this year.

I'm glad you do too. It's not impossible to get to zip but not something I wanna be wrestling with while half asleep and freezing in the dark.
@@WayneRogersOutdoors this happened to me & struggled with this when the zip came undone at the bottom that happened to me at 2am lol thank God I found your video :) good video advice man

You should be able to just start at the bottom where the foot box is and re-thread the zipper if it has come loose from one side. I think I know the situation you are describing but I cannot be positive.
